Man Admits To Soliciting Someone To Rape Wife
Man Sentenced For Two Years In Prison

MEDINA, Ohio -- A man was sentenced to two years in prison on charges that he used the Internet to solicit a stranger to rape his wife, who fought off the attacker in her home.

Jeffrey Andrews, 41, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and attempted complicity to commit gross sexual imposition.

He was sentenced Friday by Medina County Common Pleas Judge Christopher Collier, who described Andrews' crime as "extremely perverse."

Posing as his wife on Internet chat rooms last February, Andrews asked for a man to come to their home, tie up his wife and rape her, police said. Andrews posted he'd leave the back door open.

"Don't stop even if I resist or yell," he wrote in one e-mail, according to police, who retrieved Internet communications from Andrews' home computer.

Police have not identified the man who entered the couple's house in Medina County, southwest of Cleveland, on Feb. 9.

Andrews' wife was awakened at 3 a.m. by a man standing over her, and he grabbed her by the leg. She screamed and kicked him.

The man ran out the door, got in his car and drove away. Andrews told police he chased the man.

About two weeks later, Andrews' wife found e-mails and other electronic communications between her husband and the suspected attacker. She showed the e-mails to her pastor, and he called police.

Andrews' wife, who initially wanted a divorce, said she has reconciled with her husband.

"I'm a Christian. I'm a wife and a mother. I know what he's done is wrong and I forgive him," she said in court Friday, flanked by the couple's two teenage sons and 9-year-old daughter.

I can't believe it either. I mean, what he did is totally psycho. What makes her think he wouldn't do something nutso like that ever again?

Well he won't be doing anythign like that for the 2 years he's in prison at least. good grief, that woman needs to get a grip, makes ya wonder what else was goin on in that home, sounds almost like battered womans syndrome

forgiving and still loving him is one thing but having that MONSTER near your kids is another...... i really hope her pastor can get her to see the light. god be with her....

Wow. That guy is sick.

He's an idiot too, for leaving all the emails and stuff for his wife to find.

They should provide counseling for her or something. She doesn't sound "right."
