Thread: Has anybody seen..

any of the new Whitman's candy boxes for Halloween with a little plastic Snoopy on them yet?? I have been looking for them all over the place this year and haven't seen them and none of the stores here that normally carry them every year know anything about them. I've collected them for years and last Christmas they changed the box and the candy. No more 4 pieces of chocolate, the last few times they had a tree shaped plastic box at Christmas and a heart shaped plastic box for Valentine's Day. Both had peanutbutter cups inside. I don't think I saw any around Easter but it was pretty crazy around here then and I forgot to look. I collect the Snoopys and now my DD does too. They've been coming out 4 times a year for over 20 years, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, & Christmas. Has anybody seen them?

I've looked in and called CVS, Walgreens, Meijer, Target, Walmart and even looked on eBay. Found a little pumpkin shaped car with Snoopy on eBay, but no plastic figures attached to the box.

Could it be that with the death of the Peanuts author, they lost the merchandizing rights??

Doubtful, but who knows? I just wish I could find out for sure.
