I'm not a grandparent yet but my kids call my parents nandad and nanmom mom. Sounds weird I know but when my oldest was young he couldn't say grand so he said nan and it just stuck. Now all 4 of their grandkids call them nandad and nanmom mom. My DH's mom is called mamaw Sue.

I called my grandmother and step grandfather, MeeMee and PaPaw. Referred to my decreased grandfather has Grandfather (his last name).
I called my other grandmother, Nannie (which is her first name) and referred to my decreased grandfather as Grandfather (his last name).
The kids call my father 'Pop.' My niece use to jump up everytime she said his name. Brings a new meaning to 'pop' ups. lol

I think, grandchildren name u in the most part. I know, i named both my grandmothers. So, i will wait and see what my grandchildren call me.

Moms parents....Grandma and Grandpa...My kids call them Grandma Hazel and Grandpa Dick

My Dads parents...Nanny and Pop...both passed away before my kids could know them

My Stepmoms parents...Memaw and Papaw...kids called them the same

My Stepdads parents...Grandma and Grandpa Hill...My kids called the same

My kids call my Mom and Stepdad..Grandma and Grandpa
their dads parents...Grandpa Hardee and Grandma Joann
My husbands (Stepdad)parents Grandma and Grandpa Woehr
They call my Stepmom by her name..Sharon...cuz when my daughter was born she said she was too young to be grandma, she never had kids of her own and she was younger than my dad so I understand this!

I called my Grandparents, when they were alive Grandma and Grandpa whatever their last names were as in Grandpa Jones or Grandma Brown. My grandkids just call me grandma and my hubby is called papaw. Thier other grandmother is Grandma Kathy, and that's because they rarely see her, but they live with us.

My mom is Grammy and My father is Papa

My MIL is Nana-She didn't want to be called anything close to what my mom is called--Even tho they are really good friends she is threated by my mom.

My FIL (deceased) is Grandpa *****.

My Grandparents were Grandma and Grandpa except for my Dad's Dad. He was Papa. Now my dad and all of his brothers are called Papa by their grandkids. Makes for confusing family gatherings with all of the young grandkids calling for Papa and everyone looking around to find out just which Papa is needed.
