Question about child tax credit refund checks

I need some more info on the child tax credit checks that will be mailed out soon I was watching the news and they said it was for only people that made $26,000 or so. How do we find out if we are getting one of these?

go here - link is about halfway down the page, enter the total number of deductions you had last year, the first ss on the form and your filing status last year and it should tell you if you are getting anything

just to let you all know--if you received EIC--you WILL NOT be getting a check.(i know i won't!)oh well, i still like my big check in feb!!LOL

We receive a very very small amount from EIC, and we are eligible for this tax credit also. I think it all depends upon the amount of taxes you pay in.

I am a single mom and had a very ruff last yr and only brang home 9,000 total income for the whole yr I got about 2,000 total back in EIC but I looked and am not getting this check which does suck cuz some married couples with 2 incomes are getting these back and $400 bucks would have been really nice right about now.

I just checked to see how much my son was getting back, he made 20,000, he claimed him and his daughter only and he is getting back 91.80. that sucks, but I guess that is better than nothing.

How do you know exactly how much you are getting back

This is really confusing this is what i get:
According to our schedule, your Advance Payment of the increase in your 2003 Child Tax Credit should be issued on August 8, 2003, if you qualify for it. Please allow 2 weeks from that date to receive your check. Please wait until after August 22, 2003 to contact us again.

Notice it say's if i qualify!!!!
