Do YOU Have This Habit?

In this hurry up world we often put off going to the bathroom, for just one more phone call, "just a few more minutes", etc. I am guilty of it. Are you?
Here's something to think about. Kidney stones can only be formed in standing urine meaning, empty bladder-no stones.
So, next time you have the urge-GO, you will be doing your kidneys a favor!
Kidney stones HURT-take it from me. It's worse then childbirth, much!

I didn't realize that Ladytiger. ckerr4 I hate getting out of bed to go to the bathroom too. LOL After reading this I will make myself get up. My ex had kidney stones and he was in a lot of pain with it.

NOT ME! I go at the first sign of ANYTHING. Too many bladder infections for me to let it sit!

I'm guilty also. When I was in school I would hold it for 8 hours.

Guilty! I am aware of it and try to do better 'cause my MIL told me that when she used to waitress, she held it all the time for years and now she can't hold it for 2 seconds. She told me never to hold it. I always try to go back to sleep though 'cause I hate getting up just for that!

I am going to write up a petition for the school. They make the kids "wait" until the next class and so on until it's been all day. That just isn't right.
If there is any way that I can keep someone from going through this AWFUL pain that I have, I will. I will post a reminder everyday if I have to.
Since April I have had a mysterious pain in the right side, some days so bad I stayed in bed, other days, didn't hurt much but was always there. Tests didn't show anything so they chalked it up to scar tissue. Then the pain hit me on the left side this past weekend-200% harder, and I got much sicker, almost called thw ambulance. That's what they found, kidney stones.
Don't let it happen to you, do what you can now.

Yep,i'm guilty but it is usually in the morning when i am getting my son ready for the day.

Well no wonder I have a kidney stone. They never even told me that when I have a 4x4 mm stone right now.

Amen to that! And having a bladder the size of a walnut also keeps me from waiting around too long!

I do this as well the worse time for me is at night when I have to get up out of bed because I have to crawl over my hubby then go up the stairs and down the hall! As soon as I get up in the am I have to go have no choice in the matter! I have been drinking more water here the past couple of weeks and I have to go all of the time now!!!!
