Well, today's the day!
I'm a nervous wreck. Today is the day DD leaves for her trip to Europe! She'll be gone 22 days, roaming Greece, Italy, France and England. I'm so excited that she gets to go, but the idea of my "baby" being so far away with a group of strangers has my stomach in knots! I know she's in good hands, but..y'know. She says the only thing that's making her nervous is the plane trip....14 hours non-stop from San Francisco to London, and she's never been on a plane.
I'll try not to embarrass her by crying at the airport, but I'm not sure I'll be able to pull it off. She already thinks I'm totally weird....I gave her a ziploc baggie, and asked her to bring me some dirt from Pompeii, LOL!
Okay....where did I put that box of Kleenex???

*Slides the Kleenex* I'm sure she'll be fine.
"Can't you just give me a warning"? "Sure. Don't do that again or I'll give you another ticket!"

Know how you feel. My sis took my then 11 yr old son cross country by bus. They had a great time but I was a nervous wreck. My biggest fear??? Him using the men's room at Grand Central station. LOL. She thought I was a nut case until she became a mother.
Now my youngest is on the way to the Middle East. Your worries don't stop when they become adults.
She will have a great time and a lifetime of memories.
