OK, I kind of went through the same thing, I went to the court house to the clerk of courts, I explained to them, the car was left at my house, I told her I wanted it gone or the title for it. She notifed the the people who owned it by the tag that was on it by letter, and told them that I was charging $25 a day storage and it had been here for almost 3 years, if they wanted to come and get it they would have to pay the $25 a day storage.. well needless to say when the car was left here, my friend owed 2500.00 on it and the car place didnt want to pay me storage or for them to come and get it from Alabama, I am in OH so the courts gave me a clear title for it. cost me 7.00 for them to send the letter.. It was worth it..

Cover yourself legally - send the dealer a certified letter and retain a copy of it. Give him a week to 10 days to reclaim the car and then have it removed. You may want to check with an attorney - you may be able to recover storage fees for having the vehicle on your property

We have a similar thing to that here. If its "abandoned" on your property for a certain amount of time, there is some weird thing like this where you can get the title. My mom's husband did it. I'm not sure who you would cal to find out about it though. Good luck.
