    Question does anybody know????

    does anybody know of any places that will help pay your utilities if you cant? i live in alabama. tia

    I think the Department of Human Services (welfare) will. I know they do in the winter in some places but not to sure about other times. If I were you I'd give em a call and see.

    Try your local churches. They sometimes help people who need it. www.modestneeds.org I think is the website that helps too.

    try the salvation army. Don't know if they still do, but they did a few years back..

    usually the local churches will help you.

    you can also call the utility companies and talk to them....they may have a list of charities and churches that have already said they would help.

    you can also talk to the utility companies and work out a payment plan with them if the situation warrants it (lay-off, illness, etc)....most will be knocking at your door if you are late on that payment though.
