How do you sing the pattycake song????????

Cause my dh says I sing it wrong!

I sing it.....
Pattycake pattycake bakersman, bake me a cake as fast as you can...
Roll it and pat it and mark it with a B
Put it in the oven for mommy and me...

He sings it...
Patty cake patty cake bakers man
roll it up roll it up
throw it in a pan

He got mad cause I sing it that way, says I sing it totally wrong! But that is what I learned, so I just wondered how you all sing it!

First you roll it, pat it and put it in a pan .. Mark it with an "E" for Erin and me (or Emily and me) .. depends which of my two monsters I am singing it too.. lol.

I've also heard mark it with a "B" for baby and me.

I just wondered, cause she likes the way I sing it, I just sang it his way to her and she gave me a weird look!!! So when I sing it my way to her she smiles really big! He is so weird sometimes! He says

There are SO many different ways of saying it, no one is right or wrong. As long as it makes baby laugh, who cares? Is he really mad over a stupid thing like that? LOL!!!

LOL, he was at first, he said I have never ever heard it that way, I said well its the way I learned it! LOL!! He was like that must be the northern way! I was like I guess so! LOL!!! He is so weird sometimes!!! LOL!

I've heard it both ways. But when I was growing up everyone I knew said it the same way your husband does.

Must be a southern thing because both my grandmothers sung it that way.And that is how i sing it to my son.I have heard other versions though.I guess it depends on where you live.

LMAO!!! Nope not just a southern thing..my Nana sang it the same way (the throw it the pan way), then I taught her the other way (the personalized way), now DD sings a variation of both. Her kids are going to be SO messed up!! Hahahaha
