I have never met my Grandfather,,,,

To make this short, I just emailed him!!!

I am so scared he will reject me, or even worse not even reply!!!

    This is nerve racking!!

    ( I know i have 7 uncles and 4 aunts! )

I know how you feel! I didn't know my father, then I found him by looking up relative's names that I remembered hearing. I found a list of names and numbers with my last name in Pennsylvania, and just called them. It was nerve-wracking to say the least! I finally came across an aunt and then she put me in touch with him. I don't know your whole situation, but I can totally relate to the feelings you're describing. If you ever want to talk, e-mail or pm me. I am a really good listener! [email protected]
    And good luck, honey

I searched and found my husbands 4 half siblings. He has never met them at all, and they all grew up in the same town, just a few years apart. I am part of a HUGE family, so Im like C'MON,C'MON,C'Mon!! And as far as hes concerned, hes an only chld, so he has NO DESIRE to meet them. I guess he figures hes lived without them for 59 yrs, why not the rest of his life? Im almost ready to arrange a meeting and just tellhim we are going to WalMart and then say SURPRISE!

59 years!!! wow!!! A part of me wants to say that he has to be ready and you can't just spring it on him, but on the other hand, he may end up regretting never having met them! I wonder if you could convince him, say "if you feel uncomfortable, you can walk away and never see them again". You've probably already tried to tell him that though. Wow. I'd like to know how that works out and good luck!
