LOL!!! We moved here from TX 2 years ago and I can identify with pretty much all of those. Only problem I have is going thorugh withdrawals of my Tex Mex food. NOTHING here comes close!!! When we moved here we kept hearing about monsoon season. We thought WTH is a monsoon doing in AZ!!! And good luck finding shade! Where the heck are the REAL trees!!! And man the streets here are crazy!! One street can pretty much cross the whole state! If you are in one town and cross over to the next town, the addresses get weird on you even though you are on the same street. We've gotten lost a few times. Even going to the zoo is different - prairie dogs, scorpions, owls,etc..., all of the desert animals. Where the heck are all the other animals!!! It's been fun to say the least - but I like it here!!! I do miss my TX - but like it here in AZ - just not June through October!!!

You know what really gets us laughing - - is the few times it does rain - the news reporters are out in the streets doing "LIVE STORM COVERAGE". C'mon - - - a steady sprinkle hardly calls for "LIVE STORM COVERAGE"!! They will show water runoff that is barely touching curbside and say the streets are flooding!! It's so funny to those of us who have been through heavier rains than this!!! I will say that I had never experienced dust storms till I moved here! My 4 year old gets scared if we are out in one. He thinks we will blow away!!!

lol my son was the same way, now that hes 11 he wants to go play in them! ( sand storms ) he loves it when the wind is that high and gives him the "smooth criminal" move as he calls it, ( the leaning with feet firmly planted ).
I know what you mean about the Live coverage. we did get one bad storm here about 89 and everyone was loving it! I dont think you will ever hear one Az'n say that they hate the rain! if they do, then they have either been through a tragic flood somewhere, or they just dont like to get wet.

My brother and family moved to AZ some 25 years ago. when they came back to KS for a visit they would complain about the humidity and you don't feel the heat in AZ cause it's a dry heat---(yeah just like being in an oven, LOL) I hear Huston really has the humidity but never been there, hubby has.

They say they have to get up really early in the morning before the afternoon to get things done in the summer. Yuck, but winter makes up for it.

I live laughlin,nv on the border of bullhead city, az. I can can definelty relate to that list. Here's a list you know your from nevada if

You can say 113 degrees without fainting.

You eat hot chilies to cool your mouth off.

You learn that a seat belt makes a pretty good
    branding iron.

The temperature drops below 95, you feel a
    bit chilly.

You discover that you can get a sunburn through
    your car window.

You notice the best parking place is determined
    by shade instead of distance.

Hot water now comes out of both taps.

It's noon in July, kids are on summer vacation,
and not one person is out on the streets.

You actually burn your hand opening the car door.

You break a sweat the instant you step outside
    at 7:30 a.m. before work.

No one would dream of putting vinyl upholstery in
a car or not having air conditioning.
