wanna hear what the doc said....female things
well i got the biopsy done...not good
now i get to have a leep done...outpatient surgery where they basicly shave my cervix of a layer or two
if that does not clear up the precancerous i get to go in for laser surgery and then it gets worse from there...
i am the lucky one of 10 who gets lograde paps and ends up with a high grade risk biopsy

What is a leep?
I had some weird paps about 11 years ago. I think I was at a stage III. I had to have cyrogenic surgery done and managed to get pregnant before I had enough "good" paps. I think thats why I had so much trouble with him. I havent had any trouble since though.
I hope things work out well for you. This is a terrible thing to have to worry about, cause there is NO WAY IN HE|| you can look at it yourself and see if things are looking better or not.

a leep is where they use novacaine to numb you up (the cervix) and then thake a razor sharp thin wire and shave a layer off...that is the basic low down anyway

H2223m, I had a leep in 99, it was done in the OR because I am a big wuss when it comes to pain in that area. Its not that bad, just a few days of leakage and some good pain pills
The most it hurts is right after its done I had maybe 15 minutes of bad cramps. Then they gave me a shot and a percocet, I took the pills for 3 day and was in LALA land! I had clean paps until Oct. and now am doing colopo's every 3 months. GL with your leep.

I had a bad pap come back and had cryo and a biopsy scheduled. Well, dh got his activation orders (Kuwait) and you know what ya can't do after you have this done...something ya wanna be able to do before your dh is getting ready to leave for a year... (LOL!!)...so I put it off until dh was gone, but by then, was on Tricare INS, so I had a new Dr. I asked him to repeat the pap to be sure and sure enough, it came back fine! Nothing to do until next year's normal pap. So, if you haven't had a repeat, I'd strongly suggest it. I am so glad I did! Good Luck to you no matter how it turns out!
