Thread: Remind me not to curse at the mail carrier

So hubby and I went out to our usual breakfast place and we were out doing our normal stuff. Before we left we put a few letters out to be mailed. We got back about 45 minutes later and saw that there was mail in our mailbox but the letters had not been collected.
WTF?!
<insert several choice words here>

Oh not only that but hubby did the "I told you so" routine. He was going to put the outgoing mail on the LEFT side of the box (hard to describe, the mailboxes are on a door to a utility room so the outgoing mail is put outside the door, above the boxes) but I told him to move it to the right which is where I ALWAYS put it. As I said, we get back and see new mail but our outgoing mail still there.



An hour later, we hear a truck pull up. It was the mail carrier! She brought all our mail and took the outgoing mail. It turned out, someone else received our mail the day before and since we weren't home, the apt. manager put it inside our box. That explains why we had new mail and why the outgoing mail wasn't taken.
I take back those choice words I said about the mail carrier. That'll teach me to jump to conclusions.

You're right, Kat. That means I could still curse at him/her.

every so often it even happens to us my neighbor gets our mail
most of the time it is bills too i tell her she can keep them lol

oh yea it is hard to find good help nowadays
