I received a letter today from the ALJ saying he has secured additional evidence that he proposes to enter into the record. What the heck could that be????
Did this happen to anyone else?

That sounds like a good sign, it means he found something else that will help your case. Your usually turned down 3 times before you get it. But thats not always the case. It all depends on your situation. My daughter applied for hers (she had cancer) and was approved but her husband made to much money for her to get it. Now he's making less and they turned her down, go figure. She got a lawyer. But by
Judge telling you that, its sound pretty much in your favor,

Yes you can appeal it. As many times as it takes. And yes it could be the judge recieved more information from your doctors, But the way you stated it, that he secured additional evidence, means more evidence on your part. which I said earlier would be a plus for you. If you don't have a lawyer, and you get turned down, get a lawyer they don't charge you unless you get approved and they take their fee out of what you get back. Its not that bad really. If you are approved, you will get back pay from the time you first signed up, and depending on your case sometimes they will go back even before you signed up. Yes they will, I know this for a FACT. not hearsay.

Got a call today...
My lawyer said the judge needed additional info since he had gotten the results of my emg.
So no biggie. I just wish he would hurry up and make up his mind.
