mixed emotions, x-mas
Anyone else on a rollercoaster ride about Christmas?
One minute I am excited and ready to wrap gifts and the next I feel over whealmed and hate the idea of it being so close.
Last year I had all my shoping done by aug. and this year I have very little done, lack of money is the biggest reason, but Dh gets his x-mas bonus the 7th of Dec. and I can finish buying then, I just get down having to wait so long to buy when I am usualy done long before then, I am rambling, lol. I have money but I hoard it for rainy days or other unexpected things and could buy some gifts but then if I need it for something else I want the assurance that it is there, ya know what I mean? Kids have money to buy with saved up and I have yet to take them to go do any shoping, I am to the point where I hate to go out shoping, moving here has been a blessing and a curse, to get to the mall you are in traffic, I mean horrible traffic, which I am not use to,grrrr. Takes over half hour to get into the mall and it's less than 5 minutes away but the traffic is always backed up because all the stores are close to the mall in about a 1/2 mile stretch you have almost any store you can think of. I hate crowded roads and stores.
The longer I wait the more crowded the roads and stores will be, up/down/up/down, all around just ready to pull my hair out...
Heres to better moments anyways, cheers!
GOD BLESS THIS LAND,
UNITED WE STAND!

Sounds like here. We live 5 min from the mall and the quickest I have gotten there is 15 min. And now Cal Trans isn't helping any since they are working on the road it is backed up and takes about 3-4 red lights just to get through one signal.

I know how you feel......I usually love the holidays, the Christmas music, the decorations, but this year I dread it all. I am so broke it isn't funny, and the only thing on my mind is the lack of money I have to buy gifts. I know Christmas isn't about getting and giving a bunch of presents, but I want my children to have a nice holiday.
Hang in there.....Try and be positive (I know I'll try...lol)!

Well, I found that if you have to go shopping, go to the mall on Monday morning. That is what I have been doing. I went last week and it really was not that bad. Now, if you work full time, that could be a problem, but, go during the week, not on the weekend.
Keep your spirits up. I understand about the $$ thing. I am getting alot of my gifts from the dollar stores this year. My husband does not get a bonus this year. We barely have enough to get groceries every week, Oh well this is what happens when the hubby has a sales job!! Hope things go well for you!
I don't know if this helps or not, but, I try to remember that x-mas is really Christmas with the emphasis is Christ. I am not trying to be preachy, but, Christmas is really all about Christ and what He did for us. Have a wonderful Christmas!!
