Okay, I found some sheets, now....

...anyone know anything about making those vintage-looking toss pillows, the ones with the beading on them or the beads around the edges? Looking to make some...I think...

Thanks you guys! I'm thinking I can buy some fabric that matches Sarah's room scheme and the pillow forms. Surely a fabric shop will sell various beaded edging by the yard...right?

GAH! I haven't sewn in years. But certainly I can still sew a straight edge, right?

Couldn't talk her into that cute bed in a bag Winnie the Pooh set for anything!

Found them (new in package) on Ebay. Do a search for 'satin sheets.'

BUT, at the last second, I lost TWO bids. The full set went for $37, plus $8.50 shipping. Still cheaper than anywhere I've found them online. I can't win a bloody bid at Ebay to save my life lately. Less than 1 minute left on the auction, I get up to go P, and BAM, gone when I get back..**** someone else. I HATE that.

Anyway, ernie, try Ebay. They have a lot listed...like 3 pages.

Ya ya ya. That's what we all say...

Actually, I didn't look at anything else this time. No pewter, no old books, no vintage stuff for Sarah's apartments, no digital cameras...JUST sheets.

I know the twitch will go away eventually...

At JoAnn's I get beaded fringe for my dot's jeans (she likes the bottoms of her jeans to be fancy) They sell it by the yard at JoAnns, they usually have a good selection and have even more at Halloween. Also, check the bridal section. It looks like fabric tape with the beads hanging off of it, you just sew the fabric part into the pillow seams.

    Good luck, sounds really pretty!

Hmmm...I've heard of Joann's...I don't know if we still have any around here...I'll have to do some checking. I know there's a Hancock Fabric out on Manchester Rd...not sure if any of the Jackman's are still open. Need to start checking around, promised her I'd work on it this week (now that she's decided on a color - we think! - she's a little 'eager') I have another sewing project to finish first--I'm doing some quilting for a friend and I have a deadline! In fact, 10 minutes to quilting time!
