Re: BBS OWN Stop Smoking SUPPORT thread:)
ok if its not too late i really really have been thinking hard about wanting to quit, I am 24 years old and I have smoked since I was 11 years old. Everytime I try it is jus soooooooo hard!! I don't wanna smell like it, I don't want the tired feeling anymore, and frankley I am tired of paying 4.75 a pack. I smoke around 1 1/2 packs a day, so in a week I spend pretty close to 50.00. Thats new clothes for my kids or CHRISTMAS MONEY!! So if I knew I had a place to go to or even someone I could count on when I really really needed a cig I think I could do it. let me know if I can join this thread and become smoke free?????? thanks ;0)

Way to go DBack! Each day you will feel better! Just don't cave to the crave and take it one day at a time. I had a good quit going, but I ruined it. It would be so much easier if my dh didn't smoke. My quit date is tomorrow. Gonna do it this time!!

Ok! HELPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! Smoked for 25 years now! Quit several times before.
Before I found this great thread, I have seen my doctor. Have the Wellbutrin XL. So I am ready to try! I have signed up at the Habitrol site and the i-quit-smoking site. My name @ both is rogerslmc.
The Habitrol site took me to smokefreeprogram.com. So I hope I did all of it right. It assigned me a quit date of 6/9/05. I can handle that, I think!
I truly hate smoking. But it is so hard to quit.
TIA!
OOOOH! Just realized this is a 3 year old post!
Is there still a good support group going?
