Thanks ya'll for the words of support...I made it through the day yesterday only smoking 2 cigarettes and a couple puffs on a 3rd...Now if only I could sleep later...I have been up today since 3:30am....I am determined that I am gonna make it through this...I am going to volunteer today at the thrift store to try to keep my mind distracted so maybe that will help....I do have a question though....I keep thinking about what I am gonna do since I don't smoke anymore...I mean smoking was like a hobby to me and I feel like I will get bored without smoking...

You're doin great Angelinwaiting,,,,,KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!! As for a hobby, I have no clue.
Everyone is going really well! Great job everyone! It's been 1yr, 8mos for me. I have to admit I've cheated a few times this past year, but everytime now it makes me sick, so that's good. It's still a struggle at times, but nowhere near how hard it was the first few months. My house, hair & clothing all smell so much better. My teeth are whiter too!

    Keep it up all!!!!

Way to go angelinwaiting! Keep it up! I hope that your husband quits too. Quitting with someone else is such a tremendous help! Be careful with withdrawal it can really bring out the beast in you. In a few months, you will notice how much easier it is to breathe. It'll be a year for me on October 7. Now it doesn't even bother me when someone is smoking around me. If the Habitrol doesn'r work, try the Nicotrol inhaler. I used it, especially in my most stressful times. Once you've hit that 1 month mark, celebrate and tell everybody you know that you've quit. Their pride in you really helps with kicking the habit. If your husband is quitting too either tear up any packs of cigarettes you have or give them away. You will notice a big difference in your pocketbook too.

I Could Really Use Your Support!

I stopped smoking on July 21, after 20 years, with the help of hypnosis. I was doing so good. I was so proud of myself. I began to tell people I had not smoked. People sent me cards. It was a great feeling being a non-smoker again.

Then came Frances and 6 weeks to the day that I had stopped smoking, I bought my first pack of cigarettes. I was a nervous wreck because of the hurricane. I am on the east coast, pretty close to where the eye made landfall. On Wednesday morn it was a category 4 and it was supposed to be here Friday. I was freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's now been nine days with cigarettes and I am down to the last one in the pack. I want to wake up tomorrow and begin my smoke-free life again. I most certainly know all the reasons why I shouldn't smoke and, honestly, I don't want to be a smoker.

Wish me luck and perserverance. I know I can do it. I did it! I just have to stick with it and sever all ties to this realtionship.

I would appreciate any support I can get. Please email me at choices817@hotmail.com

    Thanks,
    Judi

day 4 and it hasn't been good...we still are smoke free but the cravings has been major today...I think it is stress related since that hurricane is headed our way and we are very worried about that...I know it is all worth it though...I don't have any im...sorry...I will be checking in every day that I can...they are predicting Ivan to hit here on Thursday so our electricity will most likely be off for a while...when Opal hit back in 95, it was off for almost 3 weeks...so don't worry if I don't post after Thursday...I am determined NOT to smoke....Thanks so much for the support....Here is my stats...I added my hubby's amount to mine so that is why its huge..anyway, here it is...
