I wish I could quit...too much stress!
Hey everyone!!!
I last posted under the name of "angelinwaiting" and now my new name is fan4jesus but I wanted to post on here and update everyone on my smoke status:
This past September 9 marked 4 years of being smoke free for both me and my hubby!!! I love, love, love being smoke free!!!!! Just the smell of stinky cig smoke makes me sick..I never knew how bad the smell was til I quit..We both feel so much better and I can take a very deep breath without hurting and that is something that I have not been able to do in a loooong time! My skin, hair, teeth, car, home, clothes, breath look and smell soooo much better!!!!
I just wanted to say thanks for this thread because it helped me so much those 1st few weeks!!!
BTW, I smoked for almost 20 years so I know if I can quit, anyone can!!!:itsme:
Today is day 20 for me without a cig! I am on the Chantix pill yet at this time but I am allowing myself to skip a pill every now & then! What a disgusting habit I had & it lasted for 36 years!
You've been free of cigarettes for 1369 days, 17 hours, 35 minutes & 29 seconds. You have not smoked 61,638 cigarettes since then, and you have saved a total of $10,909.93. I truly do not miss smoking at all. I am so over it.
FYI no cigarettes since this last post on here:) Look how long its been since I quit...I was a 5-8 pack a DAY
Folks, I am STILL a quitter and never went back thankfully! Hard to believe its been this long....are there any out there wanting and/or needing to quit that just need some basic support and love?
Officially, I quit in April 2012. I would occasionally have a cigarette, but less and less often. I am still using nicotine gum because I still get the urge to smoke. Sometimes I make the hand gesture and breath pattern as if I am inhaling and exhaling smoke, and that does seem to ease the urge. I am glad that I quit, though I wasn't a heavy smoker (half a pack or less a day for less than 15 years) - it's still a habit I'm glad to let go.
I am SUPER proud of you Kay!!!!
