14 days and still going strong...I heard on the news that cigs are going up again and the government are gonna try to raise the price to $10-$15 a pack  Thank God that hubby and I have both quit :D The other good thing is my weight loss class that I had been taking...We met today and I was so worried after having been quit smoking for 2 weeks that I had probably put on some pounds...I had only gained a half a pound in 2 weeks :p I feel so good :D
Re: BBS OWN Stop Smoking SUPPORT thread:)
My 1 year was October 7! My stats said (on that day) that I had saved $645 and had not smoked 5,492 cigarrettes! Most of all, I've saved 2 weeks of my life! How is it going angelinwaiting? Keep going and don't look back! Just remember that it is worth it and just think of the extra cash you'll have for Christmas gifts!
Re: BBS OWN Stop Smoking SUPPORT thread:)
Congradulations to all of you that have quit smoking or are in the process, heck if you are only THINKING about it, that really is a step in the right direction. My mom quit smoking a month ago after being a one to two pack a day smoker for 21 years, my grandma quit after 40, yea 40! They did it by going to a support group that was at our local hospital quit told turkey, I was so proud of them both and still am! I now notice how clean and fresh everything smells in our house and how nasty cigarette smokes smells when I am around a smoker, much imporved. So good luck!

Re: BBS OWN Stop Smoking SUPPORT thread:)
Ok, if there are some of ya'll wondering about me and if I am still a non-smoker?? The answer is:
Yes I am still a non-smoker!! November 9th marked the 2 month mark for both me and my hubby...The stress that I have been under (a hurricane in September and my brother passed away in October) since quitting has almost been unbearable but I made it through and I am NEVER going back to smoking..NOT EVER!!!!!We feel better, look better, and smell better and we have lots more money too! My kids also feel, look, and smell better....After the 1st week of not smoking, it got so much easier....I am giving up soft drinks too...I will be having my last one December 31....I am still exercising so my weight is not too bad....it is so worth it to quit smoking though...
Congrats to all the others who have quit or is gonna quit... :D
Re: BBS OWN Stop Smoking SUPPORT thread:)
Congrats to all that have quit or trying to quit. I know it isn't the easiest thing to do but stick with it. If your trying and having a hard time then keep trying to quit.
I smoked my last cigarette on March 25, 1990, over 14 years ago. Yes, even to this day if I am under alot of stress I will want a cigarette. But it does get easier as time goes by.
So everyone keep up the good work that has quit. To the ones trying to quit don't give up.
