Running from a cop isn't illegal (at least in the U.S.), however, a cop has the authority to detain you if you run from them for any reason (or without reason at all).

I don't like any jokes about food, not since my cousin put a ton of salt on my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Yuck
The city my sister lives in lost their Dillons stores and most people were sad to see them go. On April Fools the paper printed that Dillons was coming back. My BIL was at an appointment and one woman read that and was telling everyone about it and happy. He had to tell her it was a joke and she got mad. He told her to look at the date on the paper.
They still don't have a Dillons store but they do have a lot of other grocery stores, more than our city does.
