Chocolate Scented Playdough
Flour
Cocoa powder
Salt
Cream of tartar
Cooking oil
Boiling water
Mix 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 cup salt, 1/2
Tablespoon cream of tartar. Add 1 1/2 Tablespoons cooking oil, 1 cup
boiling water.
Stir quickly, mix well. Cook over low heat until dough forms a ball.
When cool, mix with your hands. Store in airtight container.
[i]It smells good enough to eat but tastes awful so kids won't (more than a taste...) ! ;)

BANANA SPICE BREAD
Makes 1 (9-by-5-inch loaf) pan.
Nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper
¾ cup chopped pecans
½ cup brewed coffee, warm or cold
2¾ cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed dark or light brown sugar
½ cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 medium-size ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
½ cup buttermilk
To prepare oven, pan: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray pan with cooking spray or line bottom of pan with piece of parchment paper cut to fit. Spray again with cooking spray. Set aside.
To prepare pecans: Toast pecans in dry skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until fragrant. Set aside to cool.
To make bread: Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice. Set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat together granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla for 2 minutes, or until light and creamy. Add dry ingredients, beating just to blend. Add coffee, bananas and buttermilk all at once. Beat just until blended. Stir in pecans.
To bake bread: Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour, or until done. (Test with toothpick inserted into center of loaf.) Cool for 10 minutes on rack before removing from pan. Cool completely before slicing.

BROWN SUGAR ZUCCHINI BREAD
Makes 1 (9-by-5-inch) loaf pan.
Nonstick cooking spray
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
½ cup packed light- or dark-brown sugar
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground mace or nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup old-fashioned oats
¾ cup vegetable oil or ½ cup vegetable oil plus ¼ cup walnut oil
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups grated zucchini (about 2 medium zucchini)
½ cup golden raisins
1 tablespoon turbinado sugar or other crystallized brown sugar
To prepare oven, pan: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray loaf pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
To make bread: In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, ginger, mace or nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder and salt. When combined, mix in oats. Make a well in center of dry ingredients. Measure oil in measuring cup. Add eggs and vanilla. Pour into center of dry ingredients and combine lightly. Stir in zucchini and raisins.
To bake bread: Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour, or until done. (Test with toothpick inserted into center of loaf.) Cool in pan for 10 minutes before unmolding onto rack. Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
