Earlier in the year I read an article about how the Pepsi Company is using aborted fetal tissue in their products for flavor enhancing research. http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/oba...inary-business

On Feb 28th, President Obama’s Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) ruled that PepsiCo’s use of cells derived from aborted fetal remains in their research and development agreement with Senomyx to produce flavor enhancers falls under “ordinary business operations.”

The letter signed by Attorney Brian Pitko of the SEC Office of Chief Counsel was sent in response to a 36-page document submitted by PepsiCo attorneys in January, 2012. In that filing, PepsiCo pleaded with the SEC to reject the Shareholder’s Resolution filed in October 2011 that the company “adopt a corporate policy that recognizes human rights and employs ethical standards which do not involve using the remains of aborted human beings in both private and collaborative research and development agreements.”
PepsiCo lead attorney George A. Schieren noted that the resolution should be excluded because it “deals with matters related to the company’s ordinary business operations” and that “certain tasks are so fundamental to run a company on a day-to-day basis that they could not be subject to stockholder oversight.”

Being pro-life, I was saddened and disgusted by this news.

I just can not figure out why this world puts such little value on the life of our precious babies, but that is just my pro-life opinion.

Now yesterday I read another article that brought this all back fresh to me.

Fetal tissue has been used for transplants and in vaccines for quite a while now but medical community is getting a little too excited and is claiming unlimited potential for fetal tissue technology. It is really just so disturbing.

Researchers say the timing of the abortion is important because a more matured fetus produces better fetal tissue. Most abortions take place between the sixth and eleventh week of pregnancy, but researchers are saying that fetuses that are fourteen to sixteens weeks are better and more valuable.

Again, this disgusts me.

PepsiCo's statement about all of this?

They say 'this will produce great tasting, lower-calorie beverages.'

LARGO, FL, March 5, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Pepsi Company, which is set to release the new product Pepsi Next in the coming weeks, is facing a more robust boycott as pro-life activists protest the company use of cells derived from an aborted fetus in flavor-enhancing research. But Pepsi has succeeded, with help from the Obama Administration, in keeping its controversial operations from consideration by its shareholders.

In a decision delivered Feb 28th, President Obama’s Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) ruled that PepsiCo’s use of cells derived from aborted fetal remains in their research and development agreement with Senomyx to produce flavor enhancers falls under “ordinary business operations.”

Debi Vinnedge, Executive Director of Children of God for Life, the organization that exposed the PepsiCo-Senomyx collaboration last year was “appalled by the apathy and insensitivity” of both PepsiCo executives and the Obama administration.

“We’re not talking about what kind of pencils PepsiCo wants to use – we are talking about exploiting the remains of an aborted child for profit,” she said. “Using human embryonic kidney (HEK-293) to produce flavor enhancers for their beverages is a far cry from routine operations!”

PepsiCo also requested the resolution be excluded because it “probed too deeply into matters of a complex nature upon which shareholders cannot make an informed judgment.”

“In other words, PepsiCo thinks its stockholders are too stupid to understand what they are doing with the remains of aborted children,” Vinnedge stated. “Well they are about to find out just how smart the public really is when they turn up the heat on the world-wide boycott!”

Oklahoma Senator Ralph Shortey has proposed a bill SB1418 banning the sale of products that are developed with or contain aborted fetal remains. In the case of Pepsi products, the cells derived from the aborted fetus do not end up in the final product.

“We commend the Senator for his courageous move,” noted Vinnedge. “The public is already saying no thanks to all Pepsi beverages and Pepsi Next is just that – the “next” product to avoid!”

To date, the world-wide boycott has expanded to include Canada, Germany, Poland, UK, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, Australia and New Zealand.

First of all, "derived" is misspelled in the title of this article, therefore ruining all credibility in my opinion.

Secondly, Pepsi is not aborting the fetuses nor are they condoning abortion or added cells from aborted fetuses to their products.
The cells were harvested from aborted fetuses many years ago. This is not an ongoing practice. HEK293 cells are special in that they can divide without dying and can be kept alive in labs. Here. I will repeat that the cells were harvested some 50 years ago. These same cells have been used to research cures and treatments for diseases, (both hereditary and environmental) and for cancer research.

This article was written to fire up people who are ignorant and too lazy to check facts..

Be smart. Research and educate yourselves before following the piper and walking off a cliff.

Most of your protest seems to be based on the past usage of animals, which I assume you do not condone.If I was made aware of a company, product, etc. that was using animals in a cruel way I too would protest...but Jenny, animals do not have souls... thats what I believe. I am to try and take care of them, but I have been given permission to eat them and wear their skins by their Creator.

People, however, are made in the image of God, and that sets us apart. We have been instructed not to kill each other unless in self defense, and I hardly think most abortions are actually performed due to danger.Once mankind is considered an "animal" that merely rose to the top of the food chain by chance, laws to govern really can become a free for all, because one's value is not God given, but relative.

Those exercises in school, where you are supposed to pick the last survivor in a boat....sacrificing the old for the young, etc...those were all for a purpose.Sometimes the justification of choices made seem unavoidable, righteous, and of value...because one feels they chose the best scenario.Man becomes his own god...( talk about pompous!) and these "mores" are some of the results coming at us like a freight train.

If you don't believe abortion is right, then say so.

Many opposing viewpoints have been raised on the morality of using consumer products which are cultivated on aborted fetal cell lines. Regardless of your position on abortion, the fact that there is an entire industry around the manufacture of foods, beverages and medical products which routinely utilize aborted fetal tissue should be a cause for great concern.

There has always been a great deal of excitement within the medical community regarding the use of fetal tissue for transplantation and for the manufacture of vaccines.

Fetal tissue technology has evolved tremendously in the two decades especially in the area of treating various neural and endocrinal diseases.

However, serious ethical questions are being raised as to the source and procurement of the necessary tissue. While some experts in the medical community forecast unlimited potential for fetal tissue technology, others have expressed deep concern as to the limits to the ethical and moral dynamics of the issue. Where is the line drawn?

The Economic Drive of Abortion

The world of economics runs on the basis of supply and demand. And this is perhaps the largest fear to approving fetal tissue research and transplants from elective aborted fetuses. While it is claimed that supply is sufficient to meet current demand - which is a tragedy in itself - what is to happen when researchers discover that the fetal tissue products can effectively treat a broader assortment of disease and illnesses? What happens when there is still not enough supply? While these questions may seem overstated, we should not underestimate the advances of medical technology or the moral corruption of modern society. Several proposals were brought to the National Institutes of Health Panel to protect babies from being procured for the motive of profit. Yet with an estimated annual income of six billion dollars, the potential for abuse in fetal tissue industry would be substantial, not to mention very difficult to regulate and enforce.

'With the anticipated profitability of the industry once the technology can alleviate a larger number of diseases, there will be increasing pressures to "share the wealth" produced by these transplants.' (Scott Rae, ibid)

Related to the supply of the fetus, is the supply of fresh and more mature fetuses. The timing of abortion becomes an important consideration to the researchers and medical community who benefit from a more matured and developed fetus. The majority of abortions procedures are performed between the sixth and eleventh weeks of pregnancy, however delaying until the fourteen to sixteenth weeks will yield fetal tissue that is usable in pancreatic transplants. Simply put, the older the fetus the more valuable! A subsequent concern of delaying the abortion procedures until the 'ripe' time period, is the emotional effects this will have for the mother. Aborting the unborn baby at four months old (as opposed to 6-11 weeks old) will compound the emotional impact on the mother resulting in a significant increase in post abortion trauma.

Avoiding Foods, Beverages and Vaccines Containing Aborted Fetal Cells

As recently as May, Pepsi ignored concerns and criticism from dozens of pro-life groups and tens of thousands of pro-life people who voiced their opposition to PepsiCo contracting with biotech company Senomyx even after it was found to be testing their food additives using fetal cells from abortions.

"The company's key flavor programs focus on the discovery and development of savory, sweet and salt flavor ingredients that are intended to allow for the reduction of MSG, sugar and salt in food and beverage products," the Senomyx web site says. "Using isolated human taste receptors, we created proprietary taste receptor-based assay systems that provide a biochemical or electronic readout when a flavor ingredient interacts with the receptor."

Debi Vinnedge, of the pro-life group Children of God for Life, explained,

"What they don't tell the public is that they are using HEK 293 -- human embryonic kidney cells taken from an electively aborted baby to produce those receptors. They could have easily chosen animal, insect, or other morally obtained human cells expressing the G protein for taste receptors."

In August 2010, PepsiCo entered into a four-year agreement with Senomyx for the development of artificial high-potency sweeteners for PepsiCo beverages. Under the contract, PepsiCo is paying $30 million to Senomyx for the research and future royalties on PepsiCo products sold using Senomyx technology. When the prolife group wrote both companies requesting they use one of several non-objectionable, viable cell lines listed in their patents, Senomyx did not respond. PepsiCo did reply however and insisted that its use of the research from Senomyx would produce "great tasting, lower-calorie beverages."

Debate with the Danielle’s: Vaccines

ABORTED FETAL TISSUE is an ingredient in vaccines and I do not agree with this at all. Not only do I not agree with abortion, I also do not agree with injecting this in our bodies.

What You Didn’t Know About the Aborted Baby Parts in Your Vaccines

Surely by now you’ve seen at least one of the many Planned Parenthood videos making the rounds. You know, the videos that discussed in painful detail how babies are ripped from their mothers, hacked up, and sold to the highest bidder? The videos where professionals (over lunch no less) laughingly talked about changing their procedures – putting women at greater risk of complication – to obtain perfect specimens, in the name of the Lamborghini and all. The video where a live baby with a beating heart was killed for a brain?

I wish I was making this stuff up, but I’m not. The truth is, abortions are a for-profit industry and dead baby parts are big business. But what do you expect from an organization whose founder believed that one race was superior to another and strategically placed her abortion clinics in poor, black communities to weed out black americans or believed that the greatest gift a large family could give an unborn child was to kill them?



What do you expect from a medical and scientific community that claims that science cannot advance without aborted babies, or a government that views aborted baby specimens as their own property and mandates that parents inject their kids with vaccines containing aborted fetal cells, DNA, and protein?



Many of the same legislators demanding that Planned Parenthood be defunded to prevent them from selling aborted baby parts, are hypocritically supporting mandates that would force parents to inject their children with them. It’s the equivalent of saying, let’s ban sugar while mandating that parents feed their children sugar cookies and pretending that the sugar cookies don’t contain sugar. It makes absolutely zero sense.





Many of the same parents holding up a pro-life sign on Sunday, are leading the charge against others for not vaccinating their children with vaccines containing aborted baby ingredients on well-check baby Monday. In fact, some of the biggest Christian organizations and magazine publications have promoted vaccines containing aborted baby ingredients and have given platforms to atheists bashing the religious reasons for opting out, while demanding that we stand up against abortion. Hello? Hypocrisy anyone?





No wonder people are confused. You’ve got the church telling you to vaccinate your kid, the state shoving it down your throat, religious leaders preaching all things pro-life, and the vaccine enthusiasts pretending the entire issue doesn’t exist.

So which is it? Do vaccine contain aborted fetal ingredients or not? If so, is it true that this was just a one-time shadeal? Is this some sort of conspiracy because it sounds like a play out of the worst sci-fi novel ever written. I wish.


Aborted Baby Parts Are in Your Child’s Vaccines

You’ve probably heard that there are no aborted fetal ingredients in vaccines, right? Or maybe you heard that even though aborted babies are used for vaccine manufacturing, there’s not really anything in the vaccine by the time it gets to you or your child. Pseudoscience Quacktivists might call it “homeopathy,” but I think we should call it what it is…a lie.



Have you read the chicken pox vaccine package insert? You know, the one the doctor doesn’t go over with you when you take your kid in to get vaccinated. It says right on the label that there are aborted fetal ingredients in this vaccine.

This product also contains residual components of MRC-5 cells including DNA and protein. – Varivax insert, pages 6-7. (In case you are wondering, MCR 5 is code for the 14 week-old baby boy who had the pleasure of supplying tissue from his lungs for your child’s vaccines.)

Have you read the CDC’s vaccine ingredient list? Why would they list aborted baby parts as ingredients if they weren’t actually in vaccines? Just because there’s only a little baking soda in a cake doesn’t mean it’s not in there. In fact, a little baking soda can have quite the effect on a cake and the person eating it. If it’s on the label, it’s in the vaccine.

At least 27 vaccines contain aborted baby cells, cellular debris, protein, and DNA from aborted babies including (but not limited to), Adenovirus, Polio, Dtap/Polio/HiB Combo, Hep A, Hep A/Hep B Combo, MMR, MMRV Pro Quad, Rabies, Varicella, Shingles vaccines, Ebola, HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, and influenza vaccines. There are hundreds of other vaccines in the pipeline and you can bet your life savings there are aborted baby ingredients in those too.



This Wasn’t Just a One-Night Stand

You might have also heard that only two babies were used and it was a really long time ago, which justifies the continued use of shooting up live babies with dead babies. This just simply isn’t true and if you think it is, watch one of the many Planned Parenthood videos. These people are harvesting baby parts for a reason.

Aborted baby is supposedly some sort of magic that makes vaccines more effective (albeit safely untested and could contribute to conditions like autism and cancer). In fact, an article in the Associated Press just a few weeks ago said aborted baby parts are essential to vaccine science. Now why are aborted babies essential if new specimens are no longer used in the testing or manufacture of vaccines? I’ll tell you why, because they’re still being used and this wasn’t just a one-night stand.

Sure, ultimately there may be only one cell line that makes it into each of these vaccines (let’s all pretend that makes a difference), but do you have any idea how many aborted baby specimens are used until the right one is perfected for each vaccine? Does it make a difference to your pro-life conscience whether the aborted fetus is 50 years-old (and obtained illegally) or a few years old and obtained from a hatchet factory?
