Obama to Introduce New Rules to Desegregate Neighborhoods

    Wednesday, 08 Jul 2015 09:07 AM

The Obama administration on Wednesday will announce new rules requiring cities to look for racial bias in housing practices in order to promote racially integrated neighborhoods, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

The rules would further the work of the landmark 1968 Fair Housing Act, which made it illegal to refuse to sell or rent a home to a person based on race, religion, gender or national origin.

The Post said cities and towns now would be required to look for patterns of racial bias in local housing, report the results every three to five years and set goals on how to reduce segregation in housing.

Julio Castro, secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, will announce the new rules on Wednesday in Chicago, the Post said.

"This is the most serious effort that HUD has ever undertaken to do that," the Post quoted Castro as saying. "I believe that it's historic."

The newspaper said the rules, sought by civil rights organizations, will show when communities flout housing law and will allow HUD to withhold federal funding in flagrant cases.

In June the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling that supported the Fair Housing Act by saying discrimination in housing cases cannot be limited to questions of intent

When President Barack Obama said he was planning to "fundamentally change America.", he meant it and is now slowly churning our "Constitutional Republic" into a Socialist Despotic State with a "Vengeance".

His latest foray into dismantling America deals with a perverted interpretation of the 1968 Fair Housing Law by which he intends to tunnel down to every local suburban community by using this new Federal Regulation to force the re-engineering of neighborhood makeups.

Can you imagine the Federal Government coming into your local neighborhood and arbitrarily selecting your neighbor?

This is another wakeup call to all patriots to once again challenge Obama's unconstitutional use of his "Executive Branch" to usurp yet another of our "natural rights" and to place another nail in the coffin of Liberty.

Not new here...new developments are required to have a certain percentage of low income/affordable housing in order to build.

President Obama Announces Plan To Implement Fair Housing, But Some Are Already Pushing Back
By Chris Enloe and Katie LaPotin 23 hours ago

President Obama said on Saturday that he plans to use the clout of the federal government to pressure local communities to integrate low-income and minority families into wealthy neighborhoods across the country.

Obama, using his weekly address, said that his administration will implement a new rule that requires communities to frequently review the racial and socio-economic makeup of local neighborhoods. The findings will be reported to the federal government on a regular basis.

Obama, using his weekly address, said that his administration will implement a new rule that requires communities to frequently review the racial and socio-economic makeup of local neighborhoods. The findings will be reported to the federal government on a regular basis.

    He said: https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press...h-fair-housing

“In some cities, kids living just blocks apart lead incredibly different lives. They go to different schools, play in different parks, shop in different stores and walk down different streets.

“And often, the quality of those schools and the safety of those parks and streets are far from equal — which means those kids aren’t getting an equal shot in life.”

These policy changes follow a late-June Supreme Court ruling on the Fair Housing Act, which said that segregating minorities into poor neighborhoods is against the law.

    President Obama continued:

“The court recognized what many people know to be true from their own lives. That too often, where people lives determines what opportunities they have in life.
The Fair Housing Act was originally passed in 1968 as part of the Civil Rights Act, and it aimed to dramatically reduce poverty and “housing discrimination.”

According to The Washington Times, the new rule would override the current zoning laws of 1,200 local governments.

Obama said that his administration will be using gathered data to help identify individual areas in each city that needs the most assistance: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...fluent-commun/

“If you want a bus stop added near your home, or more affordable housing nearby, now you’ll have the data you need to make your case.”
As may be expected, an effort to thwart President Obama’s plan is already in the works.

Arizona Representative Paul Gosar (R) has already introduced several pieces of legislation aimed at preventing Obama from implementing his new regulations. Gosar told the Washington Examiner: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/ob...rticle/2568077

“This overreaching new regulation is an attempt to extort communities into giving up control of local zoning decisions and reengineer the makeup of our neighborhoods…

Just as the president has used the DOJ, IRS and DHS as a political weapon, he has now expanded his arsenal to include HUD as a way of punishing neighborhoods that don’t fall in line with his liberal agenda.”

Does he realize that the cost of living is going to be more, in these neighborhoods?? I seriously doubt that a neighborhood of million dollar houses, is going to be located right next to a Wal Mart or Piggly Wiggly! How are these people suppose to afford food, gas, clothes, etc??

How is this suppose to work anyhow? Are minorities going to be offered huge discounts to better housing.........or are neighborhoods going to have trailers (no offense to anyone who owns one), built next to McMansions??
