Thread: Man arrested for killing San Francisco woman is an ILLEGAL who had been DEPORTED FIVE TIMES

The man suspected of gunning down a young woman at random at a popular San Francisco tourist spot on Wednesday has been “deported to Mexico several times,” according to a report by the local ABC News affiliate.

The woman, 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle (“Kate”), was struck in the chest with a bullet while visiting Pier 14 on the Embarcadero with her family. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors were unable to save her, as she died in her parents’ arms a few hours later.

The suspect, Francisco Sanchez, was identified as being in his mid-40s and on probation from Texas due to previous, undisclosed crimes. He was arrested after tips from passers-by. Officials said that the killing appeared to be random. Police believe they have recovered the murder weapon from the waters of the San Francisco Bay near the pier, where the suspect allegedly tossed it.

On Thursday, two news crews filming live at Pier 14 were mugged at the scene, and one cameraman was pistol-whipped.

“She fought for her life,” [Liz] Sullivan said, adding that her daughter’s heart had stopped two times, and was restarted, in the ambulance.

“It was a battle, but she just didn’t make it,” she said. “It was horrific, but we knew the minute they came to talk to us, it wasn’t good. But it was so nice to go in and be with her.”

Sullivan said that in their final moments together, she softly touched her daughter’s face — a face she used to paint when the young woman was a little girl.

White House blames GOP for Kathryn Steinle’s slaying, rise in gun violence

The White House blamed congressional Republicans Monday for the death of a San Francisco woman allegedly shot by a repeat offender illegal immigrant, and for a spate of gun violence last weekend in President Obama’s hometown of Chicago.

Referring to the shooting death last week of Kathryn Steinle, allegedly shot by a Mexican man who has been deported five times, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said the U.S. would be safer if Republican lawmakers had approved comprehensive immigration reform backed by the president. “The president has done everything within his power to make sure that we’re focusing our law enforcement resources on criminals and those who pose a threat to public safety,” Mr. Earnest said. “It’s because of the political efforts of Republicans that we have not been able to make the kind of investment that we would like to make in securing our border and keeping our communities safe.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, Virginia Republican, said Sunday that the Obama administration shares responsibility with San Francisco authorities for the release of the illegal immigrant, Francisco Sanchez, who has an extensive criminal record.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which had Lopez-Sanchez in its custody in March after his release from federal prison, turned him over to San Francisco deputies on a drug warrant and requested an immigration detainer, asking that the agency be notified before he was released.

But San Francisco is a “sanctuary” city that doesn’t honor such immigration detainer requests. The sheriff’s department released him.

Ms. Steinle was shot at random as she walked on a busy pier with her father last Wednesday.

“The federal government and San Francisco are wrong here,” Mr. Goodlatte told ABC’s “This Week.” “There’s fault to be borne by both. Why did they ever turn him over to (San Francisco) when they could have deported him?”

Mr. Earnest, who declined to comment on the specifics of the San Francisco case, chastised “people [who] want to play politics with this.”

“Those critics are individuals who opposed legislation that would have actually made a historic investment in border security,” Mr. Earnest said.

On the shootings in Chicago, where 10 people were killed over the Independence Day holiday weekend, the White House said gun-control measures opposed by Republicans would help to stem such violence.

“Eventually, it’s going to require the American people speaking up and speaking out, and making clear to Congress this is an issue that they’re going to cast a vote on,” Mr. Earnest said. “There are common sense steps that Congress can take that would — that would make our streets safer; make it harder for criminals and those who shouldn’t have guns from getting their hands on them.”

Chicago has some of the toughest gun restrictions in the nation. In 2013, the Senate rejected an effort to require background checks on all gun purchases.

Francisco Sanchez admits shooting woman, knew San Francisco would not detain him

Francisco Sanchez had been deported to Mexico five times before he says he shot and killed a woman last week on Pier 14, but he knew San Francisco was a sanctuary city where immigration authorities would not detain him.

In a jailhouse interview Sunday with KGO-TV, Sanchez admitted that he shot 32-year-old Kate Steinle, but said it was an accident. He said he found the gun on the ground wrapped in a T-shirt and that it went off three times as he unwrapped it.

Sanchez, 56, who spoke in limited, heavily accented English and also through a translator, said he kicked the gun into the bay and didn’t realize he had shot someone until he was picked up later that day by police.

He said he has been living in San Francisco for about four months. He kept crossing the border illegally to seek jobs in the restaurant and construction industry, and that he had searched for work in California as well as Oregon.

Sanchez also said that he didn’t remember the shooting because he was taking sleeping pills. At first he appeared to say that he had no regrets, but then said that he “feels sorry for everybody” about it.

He was asked about reports that he was shooting at sea lions, but said he didn’t remember.

The San Francisco sheriff’s office released Sanchez in March after prosecutors declined to charge him in relation to a marijuana arrest, but never told Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities, even though they had requested notification prior to his release.

San Francisco, which has one of the most lenient “sanctuary city” policies in the nation, does not hold those identified as illegal immigrants by ICE without a judicial determination or arrest warrant.

“We followed both the city ordinance and our policy, which is that we don’t honor ICE detainers — which are a request, not a legal basis,” Freya Horne, spokeswoman for the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, told the San Francisco Chronicle.

Grieving Mom Pens Open Letter UNLEASHING on Obama for Who He Hosted at White House

Sabine Durden knows all about immigration. She did, after all, immigrate from Germany to America for a better life.

Unfortunately, Durden also knows all about illegal immigration. Her only son, Dominic, was killed by an illegal alien who America refused to deport even after multiple criminal violations.

Now, the grieving mother has asked why the president has invited illegal aliens into the White House. She did it in a scathing open letter that quickly went viral.

Durden lost her son Dominic when he was hit by a drunk driver from Guatemala. The illegal alien had a long criminal record, including armed robbery and two DUIs.

Dominic Durden, meanwhile, worked as a dispatcher for police. His father was African American, yet his story hasn’t been covered by the White House under the aegis of the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

While the White House hasn’t extended an invitation to the Durdens, one person he did extend an invitation to was Jennicet Gutierrez, a transgender illegal immigrant who heckled the president during a speech he gave at the White House to members of the gay community.

“I decided to write to the president because it is highly upsetting that he continues to invite illegals to the White House, but never spoke to any of us who lost so dearly,” Sabine Durden said.

“Dominic (30 years old) my only child and my best friend was killed (7-12-12) by a guy from Guatemala that was in the USA illegally for many years and had committed many crimes, including a felony armed robbery and 2 DUI’s,” Durden’s letter read.

“He never followed our laws (no license, no insurance or car registration) but expected our laws to protect him when he was arrested,” she explained. “It took me 1.5 years and many letters and trips to the immigration detention center to finally get a little justice and have him deported in March of 2014.”

Durden also drew upon her experience as an immigrant in the letter (H/T Breitbart).

“I am all for immigration and people finding a better way of life, but it has to be done the legal and right way,” Durden wrote. “Too many American citizens lose loved ones because of this issue.”

We wholeheartedly agree, and we encourage President Barack Obama to meet with Sabine Durden and families like hers. After all, if he has time for illegal immigrants like Jennicet Gutierrez, he certainly has time to meet with citizens who are legally in this country.

I ask all american taxpayers to call their governors whose states have sanctuary cities to demand that all money to these cities be stopped. also call your Congressional house members (they hold the purse strings) and also demand that no money should be given to these sanctuary cities. these sanctuary cities are protecting some people who might steal, kill, rape etc Americans and get away with it! we should not be a victim of a government that does not uphold the laws of our country.

You see, if Kate was black, killed by a white, then Obama and all the mainstream left wing liberal media would be all over this. But it was only a white woman killed by an illegal alien from Mexico who had been deported multiple times and admitted to beating his wife to death with a hammer. No biggie.

Oh, I almost forgot....only black lives matter.... when they fit the Liberal Agenda. Over 100 homicides in New Orleans; over 80 in Baton Rouge... the majority are black on black crime.... don't fit the narrative, so they go unreported and unadvertised by the MSM.

Question: What do Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Freddie Gray have in common? Their deaths all brought about responses from Obama and his team. Obama spoke out during the Trayvon Martin proceedings, saying Martin "looked like him." As it turned out, Trayvon Martin was the one to blame for his own death. Obama stoked the racial fires in Ferguson, Missouri regarding Michael Brown, yet no charges were filed against the police officer that Brown attacked.

But what about Kate Steinle. As Megan Kelly points out: "For Kate Steinle, not a single Obama administration figure attended her funeral and not one has contacted her family."
