I Was a Police Officer

    by BFH • 12/27/2014

Today, I will not answer the radio call that your boyfriend has come home drunk and is beating you again.

Today I will not answer the radio call that your 16 year old daughter, who is very responsible, is four hours late coming home from school.

    pol

Today I will not answer the radio call that your store has been robbed or your house has been burglarized.

Today I will not stop a drunk driver from killing someone.

Today I will not catch a rapist or a murderer or a car thief.

Today I will not answer the radio call that a man has a gun or tried to abduct a child or that someone has been stabbed or has been in a terrible accident.

Today I will not save your child that you locked in a car or the child you were to busy to watch who went outside and fell into the swimming pool, but that I revived.

No, today I will not do that.

    Why?

Because Today I was killed by a drunk driver while I was helping push a disabled car off the highway.

Today I was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop to simply tell someone that they had a taillight out.

Today I was killed in a traffic accident rushing to help a citizen.

Today I was shot and killed serving a warrant on a known drug dealer.

Today I was killed by a man when I came by to do a welfare check because his family was to busy.

Today I was killed trying to stop a bank robbery or a grocery store robbery.

Today I was killed doing my job.

A chaplain and an officer will go to a house and tell a mom and dad or a wife or husband or a child that their son or daughter or husband or wife or father or mother won’t be coming home today.

The flags at many police stations were flown at half-mast today but most people won’t know why.

There will be a funeral and my fellow officers will come, a twenty-one-gun salute will be given, and taps will be played as I am laid to rest.

My name will be put on a plaque, on a wall, in a building, in a city somewhere.

A folded flag will be placed on a mantel or a bookcase in a home somewhere and a family will mourn.

There will be no cries for justice.

There will be no riots in the streets.

There will be no officers marching, screaming “no justice, no peace.”

No citizens will scream that something must be done.

No windows will be smashed, no cars burned, no stones thrown, no names called.

Only someone crying themselves to sleep tonight will be the only sign that I was cared about.

    I was a police officer.

    You Were An Anti-Police Protestor

    by BFH • 04/19/2015

Today you will not call the police about your boyfriend who’s come home drunk and is threatening to beat you.

Today you will not call the police about your 16 year-old daughter, who is very responsible, to say she is four hours late coming home from school.

Today you will not call about your home being invaded.

Today you will not call about the drunk driver who is weaving around the highway.

Today you will not call about the man looking in your window, or the strange noises you hear outside.

Today you will not call about the man who has a gun or is loitering around the children.

No, today you will not do that.

    Why?

    Because F**K THE POLICE.

Regardless, today I arrested a man for breaking his restraining order.

    Today I found a runaway.

Today I stopped a home invasion.

Today I arrested a drunk driver.

Today I caught a known rapist peeping in a bedroom window.

Today I stopped a man shooting a gun in the street.

Today I caught a child molester.

It’s because I was doing my job a chaplain and an officer won’t be going to a house to tell a mom and dad or a wife or husband or a child that their son or daughter or husband or wife or father or mother won’t be coming home today.

One person, however, will be crying themselves to sleep tonight. The person who never called about the abuser, the runaway, the burglar, the home invader, the drunk driver, the rapist, the murderer, the molester, because

    F**K THE POLICE!

The dirty little secret no one wants to admit about Baltimore

Written by Allen West on April 29, 2015

The population of Baltimore is 622,000 and 63 percent of its population is black. The mayor, state’s attorney, police chief and city council president are black, as is 48 percent of the police force. But as 36-year-old Robert Stokes says, “You look around and see unemployment. Filling out job applications and being turned down because of where you live and your demographic. It’s so much bigger than the police department.”

Everyone wants to have an honest conversation about race, so let’s us endeavor to do just that. Now, of course, when you speak the hard truth about race issues in America – and not just the liberal progressive talking points – and you’re white, you’ll be branded a racist. And if you’re black, well, y’all just watch the comments below and see the denigrating drivel.

As posted on Breitbart.com by John Nolte, “Contrary to the emotional blackmail some leftists are attempting to peddle, Baltimore is not America’s problem or shame. That failed city is solely and completely a Democrat problem.” http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...ricas-problem/

“Like many failed cities, Detroit comes to mind, and every city besieged recently by rioting, Democrats and their union pals have had carte blanche to inflict their ideas and policies on Baltimore since 1967, the last time there was a Republican Mayor. In 2012, after four years of his own failed policies, President Obama won a whopping 87.4% of the Baltimore city vote. Democrats run the city of Baltimore, the unions, the schools, and, yes, the police force. Since 1969, there have only been only been two Republican governors of the State of Maryland. Elijah Cummings has represented Baltimore in the U.S. Congress for more than thirty years.”

As I write this, despite his objectively disastrous reign, the Democrat-infested mainstream media is treating the Democrat like a local folk hero, not the obvious and glaring failure he really is. Every single member of the Baltimore city council is a Democrat. Liberalism and all the toxic government dependence and cronyism and union corruption and failed schools that comes along with it, has run amok in Baltimore for a half-century, and that is Baltimore’s problem. It is the free people of Baltimore who elect and then re-elect those who institute policies that have so spectacularly failed that once-great city. It is the free people of Baltimore who elected Mayor “Space-to-Destroy”.
Mr. Nolte is white and we all know the invectives which will be hurled his way — but he is absolutely correct.

I was watching the news reports from Baltimore and hearing all the condemnations from some about being kept down and the lack of jobs, opportunity, good schools — then why do these blacks keep voting for the same people? And this isn’t a phenomenon isolated to Baltimore.

Every single major urban center in America is run by Democrats — more specifically, liberal progressives, black or white. The morass that became Detroit. The killing fields of Chicago. The depravity of Washington DC. The shame of South Dallas. And yes, even the place that was once my home, Atlanta — even with all the successful black entertainers.

Now, I remember the first black mayor of Atlanta, Maynard Jackson. That guy was a leader and even spoke at my high school Baccalaureate. But today, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has done such a bang-up job that the Atlanta Braves are moving to Cobb County!

Just do the assessment yourselves, who are the elected officials heading up the urban centers? And where does one find the most dire socio-economic statistics?

Yet we hear these rioters blame whites — well, they need to make sure they’re specifically blaming the correct whites — those on the left. Blacks have been herded into these inner city clusters, a new economic plantation and in this 50th year of President Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society — well, the unintended, or maybe intended, consequences are deplorable.

But Mr. Nolte does bring up an interesting comparative analysis. He writes

Poverty has nothing to do with it. This madness and chaos and anarchy is a Democrat-driven culture that starts at the top with a racially-divisive White House heartbreakingly effective at ginning up hate and violence. Where I currently reside here in Watauga County, North Carolina, the poverty level is 31.3%. Median income is only $34,293. In both of those areas we are much worse off than Baltimore, that has a poverty rate of only 23.8% and a median income of $41,385. Despite all that, we don’t riot here in Watauga County. Thankfully, we have not been poisoned by the same left-wing culture that is rotting Baltimore, and so many other cities like it, from the inside out. We get along remarkably well. We are neighbors. We are people who help out one another. We take pride in our community, and are grateful for what we do have. We are far from perfect, but we work out our many differences in civilized ways. Solutions are our goal, not cronyism, narcissistic victimhood, and the blaming of others.”
The truth is that it is a culture of dependency as promulgated by the race baiters and new plantation overseers of the inner city that has created what we’re seeing play out in Baltimore. There is where the blame lies, but there are very few who are willing to admit just that.

Remember what ESPN sports commentator Stephen A. Smith said? He wished that for one voting cycle, the black community would vote Republican. Heck, they could do no worse — and look, even the people of the state of Maryland decided to try something different and elected a Republican governor. Who, when finally asked, immediately activated the National Guard to quell the violence and chaos which the Democrat Mayor of Baltimore failed to comprehend, and control. Perhaps what we’re witnessing in Baltimore is the pure definition of insanity — continuing to do the same thing and expect different results.

Yes, the dirty little secret that no one wants to admit is that Baltimore, and so many other urban areas and inner city communities in America are a reflection of the abject failure of liberal progressive socialist policies as advanced by the Democrat party.

The preeminent question is whether or not those in Baltimore and other places will recognize who is truly responsible for their plight. Or will they continue to be manipulated and propagandized by the liberal progressive media and the poverty pimps like the one supposedly heading down from New York City.

John Nolte’s piece was spot on and this is not about an American failure, it is about a Democrat failure. And ask yourself, who were the ones who developed the concept of urban economic empowerment zones — as opposed to the ones who have produced urban depraved enslavement zones?

Leftist lunacy: 1) The same leftists who say you should rely on First Responders and not be able to defend yourself--despite leftist incubated savages rampaging through the streets--are the same people who say that cops are out of control murderers. 2) The same leftists who claim 12 year old girls should be able to decide whether or not they should have an abortion, without parental input, are the same leftists who think 12 year olds can't decide what to eat and their parents aren't smart enough to know what to feed them.

Baltimore Councilman Absolutely Loses It On CNN & Obama for Calling Rioters ‘Thugs': ‘Just Call Them N*****s’
    By Larry O'Connor - 3 hours ago

Things got heated on CNN during Tuesday’s episode of “Erin Burnett OutFront” when Erin Burnett interviewed Baltimore City Councilman Carl Stokes. Burnett raised the recent controversy over Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s characterization of rioters as “thugs”:

Baltimore Mayor: "Too many people have spent generations building up this city to have it destroyed by thugs."
When Burnett pointed out that President Obama had also called the rioters “thugs,” Stokes blew up live on the air and dropped a racial epithet to make his point:

BURNETT: Councilman, it’s interesting because the mayor of Baltimore, who has come under a lot of criticism, scathing criticism for her handling of this, referred to the people doing this last night as thugs, and she got a lot of criticism for that. There were people on Twitter saying why would you call them thugs? Then they’re not going to listen to you. President Obama also called protestors in his words today “criminals and thugs.” He also carefully chose to use that word. Isn’t it the right word?

STOKES: No, of course it’s not the right word to call our children thugs. These are children who have been set aside, marginalized, who have not been engaged by us. No, we don’t have to call them thugs.

BURNETT: How does that justify what they did? That’s a sense of right from wrong. They know it’s wrong to steal and burn down a CVS and an old persons home. I mean, come on.

STOKES: Come on? So calling them thugs, just call them n***ers, just call them n***ers, no. We don’t have to call them by names such as that. We don’t have to do that. That is exactly what we have set them to. Now, when you say come on, come on what? You wouldn’t call your child a thug if they should do something that would not be what you would expect them to do.

Burnett reacted to Stokes’ outburst by telling him, “I would hope I would call my son a thug if he ever did such a thing,” and that she respected the Councilman’s point of view: http://t.co/ZJkkLL4Uyd

Baltimore City Council President Bernard “Jack” Young used the word “thugs” to refer to the rioters as well, but later apologized. http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/mar...428-story.html

The shocking statistic about Baltimore EVERYONE is afraid to mention
Written by Michele Hickford, Editor-in-Chief on April 29, 2015

As we’ve all been glued to the television, watching the events unfold in Baltimore, there is one statistic about this mob violence you will probably never hear.

    This is nothing new.

    It happens all the time.

All around the nation … it’s just not reported.

In his new book, Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry, Colin Flaherty uses more than a THOUSAND examples to document the widespread black crime and violence, often directed at white people, that has been occurring across this nation for years. His book also shows how the media ignore, condone and deny it – and of course, how politicians, including the president, are willing partners in the deception.

In his introduction, Flaherty writes, “Black people are the relentless victims of relentless white violence and racism, often at the end of a badge – for No Reason What So Ever.”

“That was the biggest news story of 2014 and it was easy to find in the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, Spike Lee, Oprah, USA Today and lots of other places.”

But Flaherty says, “That is the biggest lie of our generation. Because just the opposite is true. Black crime and violence against whites, gays, women, seniors, young people and lots of others is astronomically out of proportion. It just won’t quit. Neither will the excuses. Or the denials. Or the black on white hostility. Or those who encourage it.”

Flaherty documents hundreds and hundreds of incidents that were never widely reported. Or suppressed, or with key details modified or eliminated.

He says, “You did not know Kansas City and other places in the heartland of Middle America – like Peoria, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Indianapolis and even Green Bay – are now centers of frequent, intense and dangerous black mob violence? But smaller towns, too. Peoria, Springfield, Greensboro, Jersey City, Dover, Monroe, Harrisburg, Charlottesville, Norwalk, New Haven, Utica, Dayton, Tuscaloosa, Texas City, Grand Terrace.”

The title of Flaherty’s book came from a particular incident in Kansas City.

For the last five years, black mobs have rampaged and beaten and destroyed and threatened and defied police dozens – DOZENS – of times at the upscale Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. They tried everything to fight it. New mayor. New police chief. They begged parents. Pleaded with perpetrators.

“What do you want?” community activists asked the members of the violent mobs. "We want to be left alone"
    , they said.

Finally they tried to curfew – against the advice of former Mayor and now Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, who told them, “All we are going to do is make a lot of black kids angry.”

And he was right. Racial violence continued. Much of it on video.
What we’ve just watched unfold in Baltimore has been duplicated in communities all across the nation – and it had nothing to do with the tragic death of a young man.

As the police stand by and do nothing, as the media attempts to characterize the “protestors” as “peaceful” – or tries to shift blame and make the perpetrators the victims of racial prejudice, when even the mayor of a city can declare citizens must allow “the space to destroy,” is it any wonder this sort of behavior is only on the rise?

Clearly the reasons for this epidemic of violence are varied and complex – today Col. West put the blame squarely on the liberal progressive policies that have destroyed so many urban centers.

But the very first step that must be taken is to acknowledge this is not an isolated, justifiable incident. It is a symptom of a much greater cultural disease, and ignoring it will not make it go away.

Read Flaherty’s book. And be certain to share it with some of your liberal friends.

Baltimore Woman Loses Home And Job In Riots
By Jordan Smith, Wed, April 29, 2015

Katrice Gardner, a resident of the west Baltimore neighborhood hit hardest by the riots following the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody, was left without a home or a job after violence on April 28.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Gardner explained how rioters fire-bombed her home, and burned down the CVS drugstore where she worked.

“I was yelling at them, pleading at them not to burn my house," Gardner, 30, said outside her boarded-up rowhouse. “They had set the houses around me on fire. They were throwing stuff into the house. They were throwing Molotovs and very flammable stuff. All I could do was beg them not to burn my house."

While angered by Gray's death, Gardner had little sympathy for those involved in the violence that has gripped the neighborhood over recent days.

“These guys aren't from here, they go from place to place causing trouble,” she said. “This doesn't accomplish anything. This is our neighborhood."

Not everyone takes this view. West Baltimore is an area that has reportedly been neglected for decades, leaving many of its residents with nothing.

Tony Banks, 48, felt the riots were an expression of longer-term processes.

“This isn't just about Freddie Gray,” he said. “There have been a lot of Freddie Grays in this neighborhood. It's been going on for years. You have to look past Freddie Gray. Past last week. You need to look back 10 years."

A report in the Los Angeles Times pointed out that urban development had been abandoned for decades, with some residents believing that the community never really recovered following the riots of 1968 triggered by the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

Under these bleak conditions, hostility is mounting between police and local residents. The LA Times reported that some view them as occupiers rather than public servants.

”People feel these officers never get indicted,” Banks said. “The police do a lot and get away with it."

Yet for those, like Gardner, who have been worst affected by the violence, their problems have only been deepened.

“I can't live in my house while it gets renovated and the place where I work got burned down,” she said. “I don't have a home and a place to work. This is a lot of calamity."

Hillary Clinton weighs in on Baltimore riots at New York donor event
By Gabriel Debenedetti - 4/28/15 9:03 PM EDT
Hillary Clinton on Tuesday offered her most extensive comments yet on the unrest in Baltimore, saying “Baltimore is burning” while she spoke at a campaign fundraising event in Manhattan.

“It is heartbreaking,” Clinton said, one night after rioting and looting hit the city, leading to dozens of arrests and at least 20 injured police officers. “The tragic death of another young African-American man. The injuries to police officers. The burning of peoples’ homes and small businesses. We have to restore order and security. But then we have to take a hard look as to what we need to do to reform our system.”

The former secretary of state’s remarks came less than 24 hours after she tweeted that she was “praying for peace & safety for all in Baltimore, & for Freddie Gray’s family — his death is a tragedy that demands answers.” They also came just a day before she will urge that the country “end the era of mass incarceration,” and will call for every police department in the country to have body cameras, in a speech at Columbia University.
