Folks, here’s what I find VERY ODD about what happened with Iran and our Navy yesterday…
Written by Allen West on January 13, 2016

There are so many moving pieces surrounding this Riverine Assault boat seizure incident and the capture of 10 U.S. sailors. The pictures of our sailors on their knees, hands over their heads, is being displayed all over the world, and paraded about by our enemies. http://www.allenbwest.com/2016/01/hu...what-we-found/

This is an utterly embarrassing moment and is not in keeping with the great traditions of John Paul Jones and Stephen Decatur. But I thought it important to take the time to provide an analysis of what we do know.
    
This incident reminds me of when three American soldiers were captured by the Yugoslavian army back in Bosnia, 1999. As CNN reported:

Three U.S. army soldiers were held captive by the Yugoslav Army Thursday after it said the three men “were captured on Serb territory” and “resisted arrest.”

Serb television showed pictures of the three men dressed in camouflage military fatigues. One of the men had several cuts on his face; another had a cut on his nose.

Serb television identified the men as James Stone, Andrew Ramirez and Steven Gonzales. The names could also be seen on their camouflage uniforms. NATO spokesman Jamie Shea said the three were part of the peacekeeping mission in Macedonia and were on a routine vehicle patrol “in fairly rugged terrain near Kumanovo when they reported they had come under fire.”

“This morning we have seen the TV pictures indicating that these three soldiers had been captured by Yugoslav forces,” he said.”
I was still on active duty and was a Major assigned as the Executive Officer of an air assault artillery Battalion at Ft. Bragg. Our immediate question was, how were these soldiers apprehended without firing a shot? As well, we pondered why were these three operating isolated from support and when did they call in for a reaction force? If you remember, Jesse Jackson was dispatched and they were released to him — and they sang “free at last” — how cute. It was an embarrassing moment. There were rumors all over the place; one was that these three were taken while stopping off at a local eating establishment. One thing is for certain, they were taken without firing a shot.

That brings me to this current incident with the Iranians. First of all, I find it odd that these Riverine craft were operating on an excursion from Kuwait to Bahrain. Why were they not hugging close to the coast line? Now, I also find it perplexing to be told that the engines of the boats malfunctioned. If that were the case, an immediate call should have been made and at least, aerial surveillance and support should have been dispatched. The next thing would have been immediate dispatching of a recovery vessel to support these two boats. Regardless of one or two boat engines malfunctioning, what should have happened after a distress call was all hands manning the boat weapons. They should have been in an immediate defensive posture to secure themselves until recovery was complete — or they were back underway.

I find it rather disturbing that any Iranian watercraft were able to approach these two heavily armored assault boats. My question would be, was the on-board radar equipment operable? If so, then the approaching enemy craft would have been detected. That being the case, the officer in charge should have reported contact, verified that they were not friendly, and taken action to defend his position, his boats. That means warning shots should have been fired, if not heeded, and then the full power of these assault boats levied against the enemy watercraft — with situation reports being sent to higher command. We need to know why exactly those actions were not taken — and if the young officer in charge was told to not take any action. And if so, by whom.

The result of two U.S. Navy vessels being boarded and seized by an enemy — which is what the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Navy is — is disturbing. The images and video they took depicting our sailors on their knees in the position of surrender is damning. This, folks, is an act of war, and our sailors were captured. Let’s not try and use “nuanced” language.

Now, I’m sure there are those progressive socialist detractors who would say, Col. West, you would have started a war. And that is the exact example of cowardice from which the Iranians are now benefitting.

Let me share with you the Code of Conduct for members of the United States Armed Forces:

    I. I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

II. I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

III. If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

IV. If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.

    V. When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

VI. I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.

I did not make this up, and this is the code by which I lived for my 22 years in service — and would still do today. This whole episode is not in keeping with the Code of Conduct. But before we go and demonize a young naval officer, we need ask, did he take orders from someone else? There can be no doubt, after watching the video and the words spoken, there were countless violations of this code. Our honor calls upon us to fight, to resist, not surrender. The ramifications of not doing so means our honor is now being mocked and we’re seen as nothing more than cowards on our knees. Say what you wish, but that’s the perception in the Middle East, especially to our enemies.

Iran has been emboldened. And I must ask, were our weapons returned or were these sailors set back upon the open waters defenseless? How much of our riverine assault craft technology and comms equipment had been compromised?

This is not as John Kerry, a former naval officer, stated. We showed no strength in our ability to negotiate. Our strength should have been in reporting that Iranian naval vessels attempted to seize two U.S. naval vessels, were engaged and then sunk. Our sailors recovered several Iranians from the sea who are being held. That is the message that should have been sent.

Instead the message is that the Americans surrendered and we also got $150B from them — ain’t that a daisy!

I pray this is not the result of the neutered Navy under the auspices of SecNav Ray Mabus, who’s more concerned about gender neutral duty positions. One thing for certain, there is one word to describe all of this.

    FUBAR!

Defense Secretary Slips Up, Reveals Obama Admin LED IRAN Straight to Our Sailors

It doesn’t matter if “the 3 a.m. phone call” comes in the middle of the day. Not only will the Obama administration not answer it, but they’ll aid our enemies instead.

First came the fact that President Barack Obama refused to address the arrest of 10 of our sailors by the Iranian military after their boats had mechanical trouble at sea. Then came news that the Obama administration had offered the Iranians an apology for the release of the sailors.

Now comes the disturbing revelation, apparently delivered by Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, that the Obama administration tipped off the Iranians that our soldiers were lost at sea and requested their aid.

The news came from Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, during an interview on TheBlaze’s Dana Loesch shortly after Iran’s arrest of the sailors had come to light. http://conservativetribune.com/obama...tured-sailors/

“I understand that (Secretary of State) John Kerry has indicated, look, when he got word, he and Ash Carter called the Iranians to help take care of our Navy guys, because they had some mechanical problems,” Gohmert said.
I’ll give you a second to pick your jaw off the floor.

“When our Navy ships have problems, we don’t call Iran. We call the rest of the Navy. We can call the Air Force, the Army, the Marines, Coast Guard. We don’t call Iran,” Gohmert said.

He also took a swipe at Kerry’s closeness with Iranian officials, noting how the former Democrat presidential nominee had the son of Iran’s foreign minister as the best man at his daughter’s wedding.

“But I guess, you know, if you have relatives that have weddings that involve the people that are in charge in Iran, well, maybe you feel that comfortable,” Gohmert said. “But you know, Dana, there are secrets on every military ship we have … that has no business being in the hands of the Iranians.”

But, hey — the Obama administration has given the Iranians everything else via the Iran deal, why not give them Navy secrets, as well?

This shows just how derelict the Obama administration was in its duty. Not only did they apologize to the Iranians, they actively delivered our sailors into the clutches of their military.

This rot starts at the top — and if Barack Obama can apologize to Iran, he can also apologize to the American people.

right now the US government is having trouble keeping their stories straight...no apology, yes apology BUT the outcome is the same. Iran has shown that they have america under their thumb and they control how america treats them. kerry puffs out his chest and says that because of his 3 yrs of negotiations and his contact, those 10 americans were released. what negotiations? the one where america gives in to the demands of iran? the one where iran can do their own inspections? what about those missiles, one which came very close to a US carrier....missiles which are not allowed per the UN and the US? what about those sanctions that the US was going to hand out to those iranians but changed their mind? and most importantly what about those 4- 5 americans held in the iranian prison to be tortured daily that kerry and obama said could not be included in that agreement ...the same agreement that iran was able to add conditions to?

    Iran Releases 4 American Prisoners,
But Here’s What the Media Won’t Tell You…

Written by Allen West on January 16, 2016

It is, of course, great news to hear that Americans held hostage by Iran– and that’s what they were, held hostage — are being released to come home.

As the New York Times and several other news outlets are reporting: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/17/wo...3&ref=headline
Iran announced Saturday that its judiciary had freed four Iranian-American nationals as part of a prisoner swap with the United States. Iranian media reports said the Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian was among those freed.

It was not immediately clear who else was released or who among Iranian prisoners in the United States had been released in exchange.

The announcement was timed to coincide with the expected lifting of some Western sanctions on Iran, the most important stage of the nuclear agreement reached in July between Iran and major powers including the United States.
But just as with the “release” of Bowe Bergdahl, there’s always the “rest of the story.”

As The Washington Post reports, hostages still remain in the hands of the Iranians: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...18d_story.html

Not included in the deal was Siamak Namazi, a Dubai-based oil company executive who had promoted closer U.S.-Iranian ties. He was arrested in October while visiting a friend in Tehran. In addition, the fate of former FBI agent Robert Levinson, who disappeared in March 2007 during a visit to Iran’s Kish Island, remains unknown.

At least three of the four Americans released — Amir Hekmati, Pastor Saeed Abedini, Jason Rezaian — were illegally held on trumped-up charges by the militant Islamic regime of Iran. (Less is known yet about the fourth released today, Nosratollah Khosavi-Roodsari, whose detention was not previously publicized.) They were, in essence, used as bargaining chips. There are reports emanating from sources such as Reuters that America is releasing some six to seven Iranians guilty of crimes — not the insidious charges of espionage Iran used against our citizens.
Furthermore, one just has to ask, how did the recent episode with our Sailors, who were publicly humiliated by the Iranians, come into play here? What can be surmised by all of this is Iran is about to be portrayed as a regional hegemony that has brought America to its knees. And in the meantime, also receiving tens of billions of dollars in unfrozen assets. All of this is occurring as Iran looks to flood the international market with its oil resources, adding to the plunging oil prices that are having an adverse effect on our industry and market.

Just to put this all into a broader strategic perspective, the Obama administration has recently released some 13 unlawful enemy combatants from GITMO. Part of that release was the shipping of weapons systems, such as TOW II missiles, to Oman. Quite sure we may be on the receiving end of those missiles in the future.

And we know Iran’s belligerence to our Sailors was dismissed by John Kerry, who stated Iran doesn’t have to abide by the Geneva Convention since they are “not at war” with us. Depends on what your definition of is, is. Then again, what difference at this point does it make?

There is one good thing, at least we are not getting back a deserter.

Obama Administration Allegedly Blocking Release Of Details Surrounding 10 Sailors Detained By Iran

    Andrew Mark Miller
    January 16, 2016

While questioning White House spokesman Josh Earnest about the 10 American sailors who were captured by Iran after allegedly drifting into Iranian waters, Fox reporter Doug McKelway claimed that the Pentagon told him the Obama administration is blocking information about the ordeal from getting out.

Wouldn’t be surprising that this administration is trying to cover something up considering they have already been involved in so many scandals over the past 7 years.

There is clearly no love lost between President Obama and the Pentagon and we have seen plenty of reports that Pentagon officials are furious with the president for being so timid when it comes to fighting ISIS.

It is very strange that we don’t know exactly what happened yet and the Obama administration clearly doesn’t want any facts to get out that might further embarrass them regarding the Iran situation.

US, EU lift sanctions against Iran amid landmark nuke deal

VIENNA (AP) — The U.N. nuclear agency certified Saturday that Iran has met all of its commitments under last summer's landmark nuclear deal, crowning years of U.S.-led efforts to crimp Iran's ability to make atomic weapons. For Iran, the move lifts Western economic sanctions that have been in place for years, unlocking access to $100 billion in frozen assets and unleashing new opportunities for its battered economy.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the top diplomats of Iran and the European Union hailed the accord, reached after years of setbacks and a full decade after the start of international diplomacy aimed at reducing the possibility that Tehran could turn its nuclear programs to make atomic arms. And Kerry linked the trust built between Iran and the United States over the past two years of talks to the breakthrough release by Iran Saturday of four Americans who also hold Iranian nationality.

"Today marks the day of a safer world," he declared. "This evening, we are really reminded once again of diplomacy's power to tackle significant challenges."

"Thanks to years of hard work and committed dialogue," he added, "we have made vital breakthroughs to both the nuclear negotiations and a separate long-term negotiation," that led to the freeing of the imprisoned Americans.

EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini in a statement also read in Farsi by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif, said the accord "demonstrates that with political will, perseverance, and through multilateral diplomacy, we can solve the most difficult issues and find practical solutions that are effectively implemented.

"This is an encouraging and strong message that the international community must keep in mind in our efforts to make the world a safer place," she said, declaring: "The multinational economic and financial sanctions related to Iran's nuclear program are lifted."

In Washington, U.S. President Barack Obama signed executive orders lifting economic sanctions on Iran, while Kerry who led the last years of negotiations with Zarif that culminated in the July 14 deal, confirmed that the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency could verify that "Iran has fully implemented its required commitments."

"Relations between Iran and the IAEA now enter a new phase," said IAEA director general Yukiya Amano. "It is an important day for the international community."
Progress also came Saturday on another area of Iran-U.S. tensions: U.S. and Iranian officials announced that Iran was releasing four detained Iranian-Americans in exchange for seven Iranians held or charged in the United States.

U.S. officials said the four — Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, former U.S. Marine Amir Hekmati, pastor Saeed Abedini and Nosratollah Khosravi-Roodsari — were to be flown from Iran to Switzerland on a Swiss plane and then brought to a U.S. military hospital in Landstuhl, Germany, for medical treatment.

In return, the U.S. will either pardon or drop charges against seven Iranians — six of them dual citizens — accused or convicted of violating U.S. sanctions. The U.S. will also drop Interpol "red notices" — essentially arrest warrants — on a handful of Iranian fugitives it has sought.

Rezaian is a dual Iran-U.S. citizen convicted of espionage by Iran in a closed-door trial in 2015. The Post and the U.S. government have denied the accusations, as has Rezaian.

The publisher of The Washington Post said he "couldn't be happier" to hear that Rezaian had been released from Iran's Evin Prison on Saturday. Publisher Frederick J. Ryan Jr. said more information would be available once he can confirm Rezaian has safely left Iran. Rezaian had been held more than 543 days on espionage and related charges.

U.S. officials said a fifth American detained in Iran, a student, has been released in a move unrelated to the prisoner swap between the two countries. They said the student, identified as Matthew Trevithick, was released independently of the exchange and already was on his way home.

The landmark Iran nuclear agreement, struck after decades of hostility, defused the likelihood of U.S. or Israeli military action against Iran, something Zarif alluded to.

"Our region has been freed from shadow of an unnecessary conflict that could have caused concerns for the region," he said. "Today is also a good day for the world. Today will prove that we can solve important problems through diplomacy."

But Israel warned in a statement put out by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office that Iran has not given up its nuclear ambitions. It urged world power to respond harshly to any violations of the deal by Iran.

"Without a strong response to every violation, Iran will think it can continue to develop a nuclear weapon, destabilize the region and spread terror. Israel will continue to monitor and warn of Iran's negative actions and will do everything necessary to protect its security and defend itself," the statement said.

Iran insists all of its nuclear activities are peaceful. But under the July 14 deal, it agreed to crimp programs which could be used to make nuclear weapons in return for an end to sanctions. The agreement puts Iran's various nuclear activities under IAEA watch for up to 15 years, with an option to re-impose sanctions should Tehran break its commitments.

With news of the deal's implementation breaking long after midnight in Tehran, there was no repeat of the boisterous street celebrations that met agreement in July on the accord. But social media networking sites were abuzz.

"Hello to life without sanctions," said one message. Another praised both Zarif and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, whose taking office in 2013 led to the start of serious negotiations after years of essential deadlock. "Thank you Rouhani," one said. "Thank you Zarif."

‘I prefer ISIS’: Iran’s terror infrastructure is greater threat to Israel – defense minister

Israel continues to express bitter sentiment over the diplomatic victory that secured the nuclear accord with Tehran: The country's defense minister stated that Tehran's nuclear ambitions and “terror infrastructure” are a bigger threat than Islamic State.

Speaking at the Institute for National Security Studies' (INSS) conference in Tel Aviv, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon stressed that "Iran is our main enemy,” and if he were to choose between Iran and Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in an open conflict, he would "prefer ISIS."

The logic seems simple, as IS will be eventually be defeated, while Iran continues to pose a threat with its new rapprochement with the West.

“[Tehran] is a rogue regime with designs on a regional hegemony. Hezbollah is Iran's proxy, with the ability to declare war. Iran currently has terror infrastructure in place in five continents: Asia, Africa, Europe and both in South and North America," Ya'alon explained, refuting IDF's chief's claims at the conference that new opportunities could arise as a result of the nuclear agreement reached in July 2015 between Iran and a group of world powers, the P5+1.

The historical agreement was hammered out after more than a decade of intense diplomatic bargaining. At the end, the agreement placed strict limits on Iran's nuclear ambitions in exchange for the lifting of western sanctions.

Iran agreed to a 15-year moratorium on enriching uranium beyond 3.67 percent. The enrichment would be conducted only at the Natanz facility, while the Fordo facility would not conduct any enrichment activities or store fissile material. Iran also agreed to store no more than 300 kg of low-enriched uranium. The Arak reactor would not be used to produce plutonium under the deal. The spent fuel would be handled by international mediators.

Yet despite a clear diplomatic victory, Ya'alon claimed on Tuesday that the nuclear agreement only "pushed back the clock from three months to one year” and that “if Iran feels economically secure, it can breakout and produce a bomb even faster."
Iran, he claimed is becoming a key player in the region as the country supports Damascus against a large insurgency. Ya'alon says that Iran is a key source of instability in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, and Gaza.

While acknowledging Russia's role in Syria, the defense minister praised American-led achievements in making ISIS “suffer serious defeats in Iraq and Syria."

“We believe ISIS will be eventually defeated territoriality after the blows it has been suffering, and in light of the attacks on its oil reserves,”Ya'alon said.

But a final victory over IS will only come if world powers support a ground offensive by focusing to “strengthen local forces with 'boots on the ground,' like the Kurds are doing," he added.

Americans OUTRAGED After Noticing 1 Small Detail in Photo of U.S. Sailors Captured by Iran

Many Americans are still shaking with fury after Iran captured 10 American sailors and held them for several hours after the Americans’ boat allegedly drifted into Iranian waters due to a technical malfunction.

David French wrote for the National Review that Iran actually broke international law during its detention of the U.S sailors, but of course that doesn’t mean anything to the Obama administration — it’s been busy hailing this as some sort of diplomatic victory. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner...-illegal-image http://conservativetribune.com/iran-...ck-navy-ships/

Iran released a photo of the American sailors sitting in a room during their detention, as well as video of the moment that the sailors were captured by the Iranian forces.

“This photograph violates international law. Article 13 of the Geneva Convention (III), governing the treatment of prisoners of war, requires Iran to protect prisoners against ‘insults and public curiosity,'” wrote French.

“This photograph — including a female sailor apparently forced to wear a headscarf — is a quintessential example of ‘public curiosity’ and would be interpreted as insulting throughout the Muslim world,” the article stated.
As the world’s leader state sponsor of terrorism, Iran has never much cared for the Geneva convention. It shouldn’t be a surprise that they would use the capture of 10 Americans as a propaganda coup, regardless of international law.

“The sight of members of the American military, disarmed and under Iranian control, is of enormous propaganda value in Iran’s ongoing war against the United States,” French wrote.

“To its allies in the Middle East, the photo demonstrates Iran’s strength — how many jihadist countries have had this many American servicemembers under their power? — and it demonstrates American weakness,” the article continued.

It is laughable to think that the current administration would ever be concerned about preserving America’s image in the Middle East. The Obama administration has done more to damage America’s international image than Iran could ever dream of.

This photograph violates international law. Article 13 of the Geneva Convention (III), governing the treatment of prisoners of war, requires Iran to protect prisoners against “insults and public curiosity.” This photograph — including a female sailor apparently forced to wear a headscarf – is a quintessential example of “public curiosity” and would be interpreted as insulting throughout the Muslim world. (And if you don’t think Iran is in a state of armed conflict against the United States, tell that to the families of hundreds of American soldiers who’ve lost their lives to Iranians and Iranian-backed terrorists.)

The sight of members of the American military, disarmed and under Iranian control, is of enormous propaganda value in Iran’s ongoing war against the United States. To its allies in the Middle East, the photo demonstrates Iran’s strength – how many jihadist countries have had this many American servicemembers under their power? – and it demonstrates American weakness.

    Then there’s this:

“This time, the Americans were cooperative in proving their innocence, and they quickly accepted their faults without resistance,” the analyst, Hamidreza Taraghi, said in a phone interview.

“The Marines apologized for having strayed into Iranian waters.”
Never fear, John Kerry made friends with the Iranians, and that made all the difference:
Also playing a role was the strong relationship that has developed between Mr. Kerry and the Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, during negotiations on the nuclear deal, Mr. Taraghi said.

“John Kerry and Zarif were on the phone during the past hours, and this helped the problem to be resolved quickly due to their direct contact,” he said.
Nations that take illegal propaganda photos, crow about their seizure of American boats, confiscate part of their equipment, and then point to our allegedly admitted faults aren’t “easing tensions,” they’re flexing their muscles.

I’m glad our sailors and boats are back in American hands — minus, apparently, their GPS equipment — but once again Iran has thumbed its nose at the U.S., demonstrating that it does what it wants — whether it’s testing missiles, launching rockets near U.S. warships, or taking, questioning, and photographing American sailors who (allegedly) stray into Iranian waters.

Well, at least our secretary of defense understood the gravity of Iran’s actions:

Around the world, the U.S. Navy routinely provides assistance to foreign sailors in distress, and we appreciate the timely way in which this situation was resolved.
Iran violates international law, and the United States thanks the jihadists for not doing worse. Our country is in the very best of hands.

UPDATE: Now Iran is showing surrender images on television, deliberately humiliating Americans for their home audience:

Ponder this: as part of the Iranian nuclear deal — no other way to assess this — President Obama commuted the sentences of some seven convicted dual-citizen Iranians. Now, the Obama acolytes will say they were about to be released from prison anyway. And on top of that, another 14 Iranians will not face extradition because of their crimes supporting Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

We’re all glad we got five Americans back, but in exchange for 21 criminals? Why did we not demand the release of our Americans illegally held hostage? And we still know nothing about Robert Levinson. Then recall we gave up five senior members of the Taliban for one — one — deserter. He now has been officially charged with desertion and the more serious charge of conduct unbecoming before the enemy.

And in the past week, Obama has released some 13 GITMO detainees — a batch of detainees classified as the worst of the worst. Ten are heading to Oman before returning to the Islamic terrorist hotspot of Yemen. But the most recent unlawful enemy combatant released just has to make your head spin.

As reported by the Washington Times: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...-explosives-e/
The Obama administration has released one of al Qaeda’s most skilled explosives experts, a man personally praised by Osama bin Laden and who created the shoe-bomb design that was used unsuccessfully to bring down an airliner in 2001.

The Pentagon said Thursday that Egyptian Tariq Mahmoud Ahmed al Sawah, who may have known of the original Sept. 11 plot, was transferred to the government of Bosnia. Al Sawah fought with the Bosnian army in the early 1990s and eventually made his way to Afghanistan in 2000.

Like other members of al Qaeda, al Sawah began his terrorism career as a member of the secretive Muslim Brotherhood [the group the Obama administration refuses to declare an islamic terrorist organization], which is present in the U.S.

Al Sawah’s Guantanamo file reveals a number of chronic medical problems in 2008, when a secret profile was created by Task Force Guantanamo. Now 58, he was listed as “morbidly obese,” and at the time suffered from diabetes, fatty liver disease and chronic pain from spinal cord compression. Prison doctors urged him to get more exercise.

In his terrorism career, he was close to bin Laden and taught classes in explosives at the al Qaeda leader’s Tarnak Farms training camp.

In Afghanistan al Sawah developed a mine to sink U.S. ships and the shoe-bomb prototype that Richard Reid attempted to ignite while on a flight from Paris to Miami in December 2001.
Folks, Tarnak Farms is not that far away from the Kandahar AB where I spent two years of my life. And I must ask, how much better healthcare did Al Sawah receive, as compared to our own veterans? Hmm, we built all those nice exercise facilities and soccer fields, and this guy suffered from being a lardass. It appears to me this cheeky fella has been living a very comfortable life. Wonder how many were wounded, or even killed, to capture this man? Here’s the guy responsible for us taking off our shoes at the airport to this day, and he’s free to go.

Do any of you truly believe this lifelong terrorist will somehow have a “road to Damascus” moment and repent? I read he may be obese, but quite sure his mind is functioning well. He’ll go back to doing what he knows and does best: innovative bomb training. I wouldn’t be surprised if ISIS didn’t offer him a tenured position at its Bombmaking University in Raqqa, Syria — surely Bernie Sanders would support his free tuition.

And how about the divine revelation from Secretary of State John Kerry that the billions of dollars released to Iran would go to support Islamic terrorism? As Oprah Winfrey would say, “brilliant.” I respond by saying, “Hello, McFly?” I just had to laugh when I heard Iran complaining it had to pay “bills,” so it will only actually get back $55B. And just to evidence how boneheaded we really are, we gave Iran $1.7B, which was the interest earned on their previously frozen assets — now ain’t that a daisy.

I’m quite sure there are those saying, so what, we avoided a confrontation with Iran. Hmm, I seem to remember how we used to pay the Barbary pirates tribute to leave us alone. And it only resulted in them not leaving us alone; they continued to take more Americans and ships and raised the amount of tribute. It was Thomas Jefferson — not exactly a warmongering type — who instead of paying, raised a Navy, and we defeated the Barbary States. When the enemy knows your raison d’être is centered on conflict avoidance and running away from confrontation, at any cost, it has the high ground. If a bully demands your lunch or lunch money every day and you surrender it — well, first of all, you’ll be hungry. Secondly, the bully — and perhaps others, too — will start demanding more than your lunch provisions.

So, the little fat kid with the bad haircut has decided to get in on the taking, while the taking is good.

As reported by Fox News: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/01...e-student.html

North Korea said Friday that it had arrested a University of Virginia student for allegedly committing “anti-state” acts orchestrated by the U.S. government.

In language that mirrors past North Korean claims of outside conspiracies, state media claimed Otto Frederick Warmbier entered the North as a tourist with a plot to undermine unity among the North Koreans under “manipulation” from the U.S. government.

The report from the Korean Central News Agency said Warmbier was “arrested while perpetrating a hostile act,” but didn’t say when he was detained or explain the nature of the act.

The University of Virginia’s website listed Warmbier as an undergraduate commerce student. A LinkedIn page under Warmbier’s name indicated that he was a third-year student at the university.

Warmbier had been detained on Jan. 2 on a tour provided by the China-based company Young Pioneer Tours, Reuters reported.
We’ve heard that before. Remember what the Iranians claimed about Saeed Abedini, Jason Rezaian and Amir Hekmati? So, North Korea just jumped into the Obama giveaway.

This is all Pavlovian; we continue to reward bad behavior, which means we’re going to get more bad behavior. We’re allowing the bullies of the world to take our lunch money, and we respond that, see, we didn’t get into a fight. Instead of a badge of honor, our nation has a black eye of dishonor. Recently, we suggested in a post that Barack Obama has placed a target on every American’s back. http://www.allenbwest.com/2016/01/re...eased-to-iran/ It didn’t take a week for that assertion to come to a fruition.

I’m going to say something that’ll surprise y’all, being a Tennessee Volunteer. All these folks are running for president, maybe University of Alabama Head Coach Nick Sabin should run for president. I gotta hand it to him, he knows how to win championships. He can develop winning strategies. We are losing. We need someone who’s committed to winning and despises the stench of losing.

Otto Frederick Warmbier’s unlawful arrest and detention is the result of a national policy of praising a country that shouts, “Death to America,” and captures American Sailors, making them kneel with guns pointed at them. We’re giving up our lunch money, and watching our lunch get eaten… while the Islamic terrorists are getting “morbidly obese.”
