Eric Holder Wants Gun Owners to Wear ‘Smart Bracelets’ So the Feds Can Track You with GPS (Video)

By Top Right News on April 9, 2014

Yes, that really is what he said.

Today on Capitol Hill, when he wasn’t yelling threats at GOP Congressmen, Attorney General Eric Holder requested $382 million for so-called “gun safety” programs in the Department of Justice budget, including “gun safety technologies” he would develop to “protect” us. http://dailycaller.com/2014/04/07/er...ing-bracelets/

What sort of “safety technologies” does Holder want?

Well, some ideas include requiring gun owners to wear “smart bracelets” with an RFID chip that communicates with the gun and allows it to fire. And also manufacturing GPS tracking chips into every gun. The chips would transmit location data and could be used by law enforcement to send automatic alerts if a weapon moves away from the tracker, indicating that the gun is lost or stolen.

And that data could never possibly be misused right? Can you say, N-S-A? I knew that you could.

And why would gun owners have to subjugate their rights to government monitoring and perhaps control? For the children, of course!

“It’s those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that people have the ability to enjoy their Second Amendment rights while at the same time decreasing the misuse of weapons that lead to the kinds of things we see on a daily basis, where people, kids especially, are struck down.”
Yes…Eric Holder is so concerned with your Second Amendment rights. That’s why they keep pumping out Executive Orders to try and limit them. It’s all for your own protection, you see!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E3bn...layer_embedded

Gun owners should rightly be alarmed by these developments, as Obama has shown he is willing to put nearly any kind of regulation into an Executive Order, regardless of whether it violates existing Congressional law or the Constitution.

But the most dangerous thing of all is not the data, but that this technology can enable a corrupted state to take a person’s Second Amendment rights away in the blink of a digital eye. That’s because smart chips in guns, when turned off, render the weapons inoperable:

Lowell Ponte makes the sobering point: “If you will soon be permitted to own or carry only firearms with a computer chip that turns them on, understand that those weapons can potentially be rendered inoperative at a distance in a variety of ways, such as degaussing cannons, compact electromagnetic pulse generators and other electronics-neutralizing devices.”

Irish smart gun manufacturer TriggerSmart “…has [developed] technology that would render guns inoperative if they approached electronic markers — for instance, near a school.” The Limerick-based company has also developed a mechanism that can block the function of a trigger on an “assault weapon” “…by a command sent from an aircraft, satellite, mobile-network tower or radio station.” Won’t it be comforting to find that your trigger has been blocked by your favorite radio station just as you’ve leveled your AR 15 at a pair who have broken into your home!

Though gun owners are rightly skeptical of the reliability of smart guns, their greatest fear must be the misuse by a tyrant of mechanisms designed to render their weapons inoperable.
Tyranny — for your own “protection”. It’s the Obama/Holder way.

BREAKING: Feds prep for Waco style raid of Bundy Ranch

    Published on Apr 9, 2014

    MAKE THIS VIDEO VIRAL!!!
NEVADA | In the state of Nevada, Cliven Bundy and his family are currently caught in a fight over land with the Federal government. This is over his long standing refusal to acknowledge a 1993 modification to grazing rights on the land.

Bundy claims the land has been in his family since the 1800s. On Saturday, hundreds of federal officials, helicopters, low flying aircraft and hired cowboys, began rounding up Bundy's cattle in northeastern Clark County.

Bundy stated to the media, "I have raised cattle on that land, which is public land for the people of Clark County, all my life. Why I raise cattle there and why I can raise cattle there is because I have preemptive rights... who is the trespasser here? Who is the trespasser on this land? Is the United States trespassing on Clark County, Nevada, land? Or is it Cliven Bundy who is trespassing on Clark County, Nevada, land? Who's the trespasser?"

More than 100 supporters violated a crudely taped off "First Amendment Area" to rally in support of the Bundy family. They erected two flagpoles with the words "We the People" above a flag which read, "Liberty Freedom For God We Stand". The first amendment area stood empty, with one sign nearby declaring, "1st Amendment is not an area."

The feds say the move is about enforcing the law and protecting the endangered desert tortoise, but the Bundy family says the spat represents a showdown between big government and American farmers.

The Feds claim that the removal of the cattle from the land will cost taxpayers roughly $ 3 million.

Wisconsin Sheriff Reveals the 7 Words He Would Use to Change the 2nd Amendment

By Top Right News on April 26, 2014

Sheriff David Clarke Jr. may not be a household name…yet. But he’s well on his way after his rousing speech at the 2014 NRA convention. Consider the standing ovation he received after revealing the seven words he would add to the Second Amendment: “Keep your hands off our guns, d-mmit.”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=wEiDNyUsowQ

Clarke, the outspoken gun proponent who heads the sheriff’s office in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, was easily one of the most popular speakers during the convention’s leadership forum. His comments about amending the Constitution were aimed at former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who said in his recent book that he would change the Second Amendment by adding five words in the middle: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014...ond-amendment/
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the militia shall not be infringed.”
“My reaction was, ‘What!’” Clarke said, adding, ”Just what part of ‘shall not be infringed’ does Justice Stevens not understand?”

That comment drew another standing ovation.

But he wasn’t done there, going on to say he was sick of the Second Amendment being the ”b-st-rd child of the Bill of Rights.”

“The armed citizen made America free and the armed citizen will keep America free!” Clarke said, also calling the armed citizen the “great equalizer” and giving examples of three such instances in his area.

“Those firearms in the hands of law-abiding citizens saved people’s lives,” he added, declaring he “d-mn well meant it” when he took his oath to defend the Constitution.

“We’re partners now,” he said in closing after calling on people to join pro-gun groups. He also warned them that the fight to defend the Second Amendment will be a tough, never-ending one.

    “Are you ready?”

The answer seemed to be found in a final standing ovation.

    Gun registry bill gains momentum

By Conor Higgins, Communities Digital News
    9 hours ago

WASHINGTON, May 19, 2014 — The Firearms Owner Protection Act of 1986 prohibits the maintenance of a government-held firearms registry in the United States. The same legislation which imposed the NICS background check requirement and enacted the restrictions on “machine guns” in the United States also blocks the government’s ability to collect firearms information on law-abiding citizens.

The idea behind blocking a gun registry is simple enough to understand, but a bitter pill for progressives to swallow. The prevailing argument is that government-run gun registries lead eventually to confiscation. In addition, they only track weapons owned by those who do not intend to commit crimes with them, and so registration seems to be just another form of government control. Gun registries in Canada had little impact on crime rates, and registries in the U.K. and Australia led to confiscation without stopping rising violent crime rates.

Despite that, Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., wants to eliminate the prohibition on gun registries and grant the ATF greater authority to collect information. H.R. 1728, the “Enforce Existing Gun Laws Act” was introduced to Congress by Rangel in April, and has recently gained support among Democrats.

The bill, titled the “Enforce Existing Gun Laws Act,” does anything but. It strips away restrictions placed on the FBI and ATF in creating and maintaining a national registry. There are of course already lists of stolen guns which have been used in crimes, and the records of “Out of Business” FFL holders which are supposed to be sent to the government for “safe keeping.” The act not only removes these restrictions, but it also asks for money to be able to pay for administrators and collectors to maintain the registry.

So far, 57 Democrats and one Republican have cosponsored this legislation. If passed, it would remove a vital protection American gun owners have against potential confiscation. Proponents of the bill will scoff at the notion of the government coming for their guns. They downplay dissenting opinions as paranoid. However, those same concerns probably occurred to gun owners in Australia and the U.K., countries which now have no significant civilian gun ownership.

Rational gun owners know that a gun registry will do nothing to resolve crimes. The registry would be made up of records kept through NICS background checks, which criminals avoid. A gun registry that’s supposed to prevent crime will be defeated by criminals who simply do not use it, hence there must be another reason to create it. The sponsor and cosponsors of this bill know this; should this bill be enacted, it is one step closer to increased government control over the civilian arsenal.

The bill makes some interesting claims. One claim made within the text is that by striking certain provisions of existing law, the government can “use of firearms trace data to draw broad conclusions about firearms-related crime.”

This is noteworthy for several reasons. First, Joe Biden has already made it clear that we need more gun laws because we can’t enforce the ones we have, so it is interesting to know the planned use for this information that can’t lead to any arrests. Second, criminals don’t use the NICS, so it would be a waste of money to track people who do not use guns to commit crimes. Third, it’s a scare tactic meant to give the act legitimacy. Violent crime is going down in the U.S., but the law is crafted to justify violating your rights in order to catch the bad guys who don’t use NICS to begin with.

The bill also does away with the provision mandating that all record checks be destroyed within 24 hours. This is a fundamental requirement of the existing law to safeguard the rights of gun owners against the government. It is a perfect example of legislation that restricts freedom and increases government control being compounded by new legislation, building further restrictions off of previous ones.

The NICS was an interesting idea, and its proponents had to gain support from gun rights activists by agreeing to the destruction of gun records. They may have intended that once the law was on the books, the restriction would be lifted and records kept. Those who warned of this were probably called paranoid, as well.

But that is exactly what this legislation does.

It has an uphill battle ahead of it. Not only does it challenge existing law, it directly conflicts with two new bills that would cut funding to any program that supports a gun registry, and prohibit the creation of a registry at any level of government from federal down to village management. H.R. 4380 would restrict funding for registries, and S. 2105 would prohibit them altogether.

The problem for gun owners and Republicans is that the bill which seeks to make gun registries legal has more support for it than the two that would prohibit it. Republicans have a majority in the House, and the pro-registry movements should be dead on arrival; the anti-registry proposals should pass the House easily if Congress truly believes in upholding privacy rights. But we should not hold our breath for that to happen.

H.R. 1728 represents the expansion of government intrusion into our privacy and restrictions of our rights that begins with legislation designed to limit our freedoms in the name of security. This bill did not start it, but previous legislation was put into place allowing for the further erosion of our rights under the guise of public safety. This was how the Patriot Act was passed, and NDAA compounded it. Legislation calling for temporary background check records has paved the way to make those records permanent; permanent records lead to a registry. Where registries lead should be self-evident.

The New Way the Obama Regime is Creating de Facto Gun Control
May 19, 2014 By Greg Campbell

Though legislative efforts to separate Americans from their Second Amendment rights have largely failed on a national level in recent years, the Obama Administration is not giving up. In fact, in a thoroughly despicable move, the Obama Administration is continuing their assault on law-abiding gun owners and sellers by turning up the heat on banks who do business with those in the firearms industry as a means of “backdoor gun control.”

In an astonishing move that ought to send shivers up the spines of freedom-loving Americans, the Obama Administration’s Justice Department has put pressure on the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) who put pressure on banks to weed out supposedly “high-risk” businesses.

Since 2011, the FDIC has been urging banks to more-closely scrutinize the business dealings of businesses deemed “high risk.” The list of “high-risk” industries includes drug paraphernalia shops, porn shops and gun retailers who have no history of credit issues or problems with the law, but peddle a product on which the Obama Administration has its sights set.

The Justice Department, however, has increased the pressure by implementing Operation Choke Point, a Justice Department probe that focuses on credit card fraud with regards to banks and payment processors. Though many gun shops operate within the letter of the law by maintaining the proper paperwork and business practices expected of a regulated industry, the Obama Administration’s efforts have begun to have serious consequences for gun shops.

After BankUnited canceleld the line of credit for Theodore Roosevelt Liberti, a gun shop owner in Florida, Liberti closed down for two weeks as he sought credit elsewhere for his business and demanded to know the reason he was so abruptly dropped from the bank with which he had done business for years. The bank replied, “Unfortunately your company’s line of business is not commensurate with the industries we work with.”

Peter Weinstock, a lawyer at Hunton & Williams, agrees. Weinstock claimed,

This administration has very clearly told the banking industry which customers they feel represent ‘reputational risk’ to do business with. So financial institutions are reacting to this extraordinary enforcement arsenal by being ultra-conservative in who they do business with: Any companies that engage in any margin of risk as defined by this administration are being dropped.”
In other words: banks are dropping clients out of fear of being associated with industries the Obama Administration finds intolerable.

McMillan Group owner Kelly McMillan, who saw his 12-year long relationship with Bank of America terminated in 2012, candidly stated the true intentions of the Obama Administration’s efforts:

Four generations of my family have been in this industry. This is my way to give back. This is an attempt by the federal government to keep people from buying guns and a way for them to combat the Second Amendment rights we have. It’s a covert way for them to control our right to manufacture guns and individuals to buy guns.”
Bank of America denies dropping clients on the basis of their business, but the American Banking Association has noted that this kind of industry-oriented targeting will continue to occur so long as the Obama Justice Department continues to crack down on businesses they deem as “risky.”

“We’re being threatened with a regulatory regime that attempts to foist on us the obligation to monitor all types of transactions,” Richard Riese, a senior vice president at the American Bankers Association, said in the April 28 issue of American Banker. “All of this is predicated on a notion that the banks are a choke point for all businesses.”
The actions that are choking gun retailers combines the two preferred methods of the Obama Administration for “correcting” societal behavior: regulation and threats have forced banks to decide whether they will stand up to the Obama regime and risk being targeted themselves, or simply cut off business dealings with companies the Justice Department finds unacceptable.

We need the names of the banks that have gone along with this scheme. Everyone associated with those banks need to close their accounts and move to a different bank as soon as they do something like this. The DOJ is a criminal activity in and of itself now days and needs to be investigated and people prosecuted for their criminal coercion tactics. This is no different from the IRS targeting scheme, the use of government agency's powers to target a non criminal enterprise. Hang em all!

    ..

This is why........regardless of what the republicans do wrong.........we must unseat the democrats. When freedom is taken away, and it's for sure the dem's want government to control us, nothing else will matter.

I wonder how the Dems would feel if a Republican president shut down the accounts of Microsoft, Apple. Ny times ABc, CBS, NBC etc.....

    ..

So we have Tyrants in other countries killing innocent civilians and Obama refuses to interfere with their ability to use banks to finance their murderous regimes, but instead, he interferes with FREE AMERICAN CITIZENS' ability to operate our businesses. This man is an America Hating Communist and MUST go!!

    ..

Love the irony Govt is trying to keep us safe from guns by using the banks. Who's protecting us from the big BANKS and their shortsighted, 1%-favoring policies?

“Basically, what we’re saying is, these types of programs can be, can involve high-risk activities that could create litigation risk and reputation risk for financial institutions,” he said. “So, they need to do due diligence to ensure that the folks who they’re banking are acting in a safe and sound manner.”

Michael Moore on the Santa Barbara Shooting : https://www.facebook.com/mmflint/pos...191857?fref=nf

With due respect to those who are asking me to comment on last night's tragic mass shooting at UCSB in Isla Vista, CA -- I no longer have anything to say about what is now part of normal American life. Everything I have to say about this, I said it 12 years ago: We are a people easily manipulated by fear which causes us to arm ourselves with a quarter BILLION guns in our homes that are often easily accessible to young people, burglars, the mentally ill and anyone who momentarily snaps. We are a nation founded in violence, grew our borders through violence, and allow men in power to use violence around the world to further our so-called American (corporate) "interests." The gun, not the eagle, is our true national symbol. While other countries have more violent pasts (Germany, Japan), more guns per capita in their homes (Canada [mostly hunting guns]), and the kids in most other countries watch the same violent movies and play the same violent video games that our kids play, no one even comes close to killing as many of its own citizens on a daily basis as we do -- and yet we don't seem to want to ask ourselves this simple question: "Why us? What is it about US?" Nearly all of our mass shootings are by angry or disturbed white males. None of them are committed by the majority gender, women. Hmmm, why is that? Even when 90% of the American public calls for stronger gun laws, Congress refuses -- and then we the people refuse to remove them from office. So the onus is on us, all of us. We won't pass the necessary laws, but more importantly we won't consider why this happens here all the time. When the NRA says, "Guns don't kill people -- people kill people," they've got it half-right. Except I would amend it to this: "Guns don't kill people -- Americans kill people."

Enjoy the rest of your day, and rest assured this will all happen again very soon.
