U.S. Going The Way Of Mexico On Guns?

Texas Representative Ted Poe is warning that the U.S. is headed toward a “Mexico Model” of gun control, in which only the government and criminals will possess guns.

"U.S. cities are moving toward the Mexico model. Guns are outlawed in Mexico. The citizens cannot possess guns; there is no Second Amendment. So the government has guns, and criminals have guns. Chicago and Washington, D.C., have laws that make it very difficult for a citizen to exercise the Second Amendment. All three places, Mexico, Chicago, Washington, D.C., all have a reputation of violent unsafe places.”

Demand Congress defends our Second Amendment. If we do not fight Obama’s gun control agenda, violence, crime, and tyranny will be the foundation of a new United States of America.

Logical arguments don’t work for the Left. They can’t back up gun control legislation with improved crime statistics, and they can’t say the Sandy Hook shooting wouldn’t have occurred had tough regulations been in effect—because Connecticut has some of the toughest laws in the country, and nothing else, save armed school officials, would have stopped his rampage.

And gun regulations will not regulate the lawless—as the lawless, by definition, do not follow the law. So the Left pulls out crazy theories (global warming causes gun violence) and the victim card (women are incapable of defending themselves with a gun) to distract from the real issues.

Obama has never been a fan of Second Amendment rights. He and his administration actually orchestrated an illegal gun running operation (“Fast and Furious”) in order to prove that guns are bad. And the man who supports partial birth abortions and opposed legislation in Illinois that would have required doctors to treat babies who survived an abortion trots out the little kiddies on national television as he signs his gun control executive orders, claiming his actions are about “life.”

The federal government is amassing weapons, tanks, bullets and checkpoints—for what, we don’t know. And as they do this, gun control zealots in Congress are working with the President to take away your right to own and operate a firearm.

So, yes, soon, we will be operating under the Mexico model, where the government and criminals are armed and you are not.

Every single Member of Congress needs to know that we will not compromise our Constitutional rights, and we will hold those who do accountable in 2014, 2016, and beyond. Obama has laid out his 23-point executive plan and Senator Dianne Feinstein has introduced her drastic, freedom killing legislation. The Left will continue working on legislation, whipping up silly ideas, and bullying companies behind the scenes in order to eliminate our Second Amendment. Don’t let them.

The NRA states, “Centuries of history prove that the right to arms is all that stands between tyranny and freedom, and that when human freedom is threatened, the right to arms and the passion to preserve it are what muster and mobilize “we the people” to freedom’s defense. Make no mistake: The fate of our nation hangs on what we do now.”

Once they disarm us, it’s over. Stand up for freedom, protect yourself against tyranny and demand Congress honor the rights we are guaranteed under our Constitution.

I’m disappointed but not surprised by yesterday’s congressional testimony in which ICE Director John Morton acknowledged the Obama Administration released 2,228 illegal aliens from federal custody last month.

Among those released, according to Director Morton, were at least 10 individuals classified among the highest-risk offenders. Others released included repeat drunken-driving offenders who, in addition to being in our country illegally, have exhibited behavior that places at-risk every Arizonan innocently sharing our roadways.

Today’s ICE testimony directly contradicts repeated assurances and explanations peddled by the Obama administration in the days after the mass release of illegal aliens became public knowledge. The American people were initially told there were hundreds, not thousands, of individuals released. We were assured they were low-level detainees of little public risk. As we now know, neither of these claims was accurate.

I repeat my request for the Obama administration to finally come clean with critical information pertaining to the release of these individuals. On March 1, 2013, my directors of the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Arizona Department of Homeland Security wrote ICE Director Morton in seeking: the number of illegal aliens released from federal custody into Arizona; their criminal profile; the manner of their ongoing supervision; and any information regarding further planned releases, among other information.

As of today, the State of Arizona has received no response. This has gone on long enough. It shouldn’t require a congressional subpoena to extract basic information from the Obama administration regarding actions that directly impact public safety.

Social media blitz to demand answers on DHS armored vehicles

The Examiner has learned that concerned citizens are mounting a social media blitz in order to demand answers from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) concerning its procurement of 1.2 billion rounds of hollow point ammunition, its purchase of automatic and semiautomatic weapons, and its deployment of armored landmine-proof vehicles on U.S. soil.

Answers from DHS have been few and far between, and woefully inadequate.

For example, DHS posted a message on its website last week that the vehicles are being used to deliver "high risk" warrants to citizens it deems to be dangerous.

But that explanation still does not address the issue of the need for a fleet of landmine-proof vehicles on U.S. soil. Is DHS saying that it has information that some citizens in the homeland possess landmines and are willing to use them to avoid being served warrants? If so, why is the Obama administration attempting to disarm the 99.9 percent of citizens who never used their guns to commit a crime? And why is the focus on disarming citizens of semiautomatic weapons, although criminals have these weapons and worse, and potentially possess landmines?

Is the focus on semiautomatic rifles and handguns, which are highly popular among most of the 100 million citizens who own guns, a red herring to divert attention away from the real issue -- criminals who are increasingly finding ways to get their hands on military arms such as machine guns, landmines, grenades, and grenade launchers, all of which it is already illegal for citizens to possess?

Further, it has been widely reported and confirmed that most of the so-called "gun violence" on the streets of America, in places such as Chicago, is being perpetrated by Mexican drug cartel gangs who have invaded the country due to the Obama administration's woefully inadequate enforcement of immigration laws and its failure to complete the building of the border fence which was mandated by Congress in 2005. It has further been confirmed that Muslim terrorist organizations have infiltrated the Mexican cartels, which is the reason for the many beheadings of Mexican citizens along the border.

Yet DHS chooses to focus its attention on average American citizens, intimidating them with mega-heavy duty vehicles with the words "Homeland Security" clearly painted on the side.

Citizens have decided to address this matter, first by conducting a social media blitz each Wednesday until DHS provides answers to the many questions arising from their recent activity.

Twitter messages on Wednesday should contain the hashtag #DHSmilitary. Citizens hope to make this a top trending topic on Twitter each Wednesday.

In addition, the Examiner has learned that the Chief Procurement Officer for DHS, the one who is responsible for purchases and acquisition of equipment, is Nick Nayak. His phone number at DHS is 202-551-9342.

Sources indicate that Nayak should be the initial point of contact at DHS in an attempt to get answers.

Conservatives, libertarians, and other concerned citizens who use social networking sites such as Twitter are encouraged to use the special hashtag denoted above (#DHSmilitary) each Wednesday in order to raise public awareness of the need for DHS to provide answers to citizens who are increasingly dismayed by recent actions of the department.

Are We Really This Naive?

When the Department of Homeland Security was established by then President George W. Bush after September 11, 2011, we were told it was for our own good. We were told that such an agency was necessary in order to protect our nation and its citizens from acts of terrorism. In accepting this rationale, we as Americans have found ourselves being treated as if we are the ones who are a threat to this country.

From the banning of liquids to the necessity to take of our shoes and put them through the scanner, the change in the way of life when flying started off subtly. These small changes allowed the government to push the envelope just a little bit to see how much we would accept. For seven years under the presidency of George W. Bush, DHS was a nuisance, but accepted as a ‘necessity’. When Janet Napolitano took over as the third Secretary for DHS on January 21, 2009, little did we know that the nuisance of DHS would turn into Big Sister with no sense.

Americans have been subjected to unsettling ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaigns at Wal-Mart with Big Sister Janet Napolitano creepily coming onto a screen just like a scene out of 1984. Americans’ privacy have been violated with the radiation exposing body scanners that takes pornographic pictures as we go through security. Americans have been fondled, inappropriately touched, and humiliated with pat-downs in lieu of or in addition to the body scanners. All of this was done in the name of ‘safety’. We were made to accept living in a police state as DHS conducted their security theatrics.

Tea Party groups and other groups on the right have been labeled as right wing extremists. Terrorists have been depicted in videos as white Americans. We have been encouraged to defend ourselves against a shooter with a pair of scissors, then months later learn that DHS is arming itself with 1.6 million rounds of ammo, more ammo than any department needs simultaneous with Obama’s gun grab.

After years of these egregious violations of freedom and questionable acts, we learned today that Big Sis has such little sense that she has approved the ‘trusted traveler’ program for low risk flyers to be extended to people from Saudi Arabia. THIS is political correctness run amok.

Have they forgotten that 15 of the 19 terrorists responsible for the murders of thousands of Americans on September 11, 2001 were from Saudi Arabia? Have they forgotten that these men unassumingly settled into American life, attending flight school just so that they could learn how to massacre Americans with a plane? Are they so naïve as to think that the low risk traveler program can be extended to ANY country in the Middle East other than Israel, our greatest ally?

The stupid and dangerous naivety by our government never ceases to amaze me. Their belief that if we simply extend our hand and make nice, then countries that have hated us will now love us is foolish. It reminds me of the terrorist killer Major Nidal Malik Hasan who rose through the ranks of the military despite many red flags who then entered the Solider Readiness Processing Center, the place where soldiers soon leaving for or returning from their tour go for medical processing, and opened fire. These soldiers, remember, were unarmed at the time. Political correctness allowed Hasan to remain in the military because those around him were afraid that reprimanding him would be construed as bigoted since Hasan was Muslim. (Now, I have surmised that conclusion myself, but to me it is obvious.)

After nearly a decade of existence with DHS’s antics ramped up under President Obama all in the name of ‘security over freedom’, we find out the body scanners that are supposed to be have no privacy concerns actually do, so they are being removed. We find out that these same scanners have a greater radiation output that we were told. We learn that the groups being looked at the most as a terroristic, extremist threats are ‘right-wing’ groups who simply believe in and support the Constitution. And now, we find out that citizens of a country that produced 15 of the 19 killers on 9/11 will be given a way to easily board planes.

The Department of Homeland Security which has as its first core mission to ‘prevent terrorism and enhance security’ obviously has allowed political correctness to jeopardize the one thing that should be their top priority — to protect America and her citizens.

America will be comforted to hear that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security “Global Entry Program” will soon be adding the citizens of Saudi Arabia to the list of low risk “trusted travelers” no longer requiring U.S. Customs checks. Apparently, Janet Napolitano has no fear of history repeating itself, since she has now agreed to DHS travel protocol changes— accommodating official Saudi travel requests—designed to “reaffirm our commitment to more effectively secure our two countries against threats while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.” Right.

I would like to invite Secretary Napolitano and her boss, Barrack Hussein Obama, to take a trip with me back in time to September 11, 2001. The day 19 wahhabi financed al-Qaeda operatives—15 of which were Saudi Arabian citizens living in the U.S. on expired visas—hijacked 4 airliners using box cutters, and managed to murder over 3000 people on U.S. soil. Somehow, this piece of U.S. history, the very reason for the creation of the DHS, is once again, conveniently ignored to appease the whims of Islamists who find customs inspections, offensive and inconvenient.

Presently, the DHS “Global Entry Program” serves ”known documented travelers” from the countries of Canada, Mexico, South Korea and the Netherlands only. It has been reported that Israel is still in negotiations with U.S. officials regarding Israeli citizen’s inclusion in the DHS “trusted travelers“ program.

A few weeks back, the TSA announced that it would no longer enforce past policies prohibiting the carrying of pocket knives during air travel. However, if you are planning to fly to or stop over in the land of Mecca and Medina, you may wish to consult the State Department’s website on Saudi Arabian travel and customs policies. It would appear the Saudi’s have an entirely different philosophy on convenient travel and customs law for non-Saudi born travelers.

If you are a non-Saudi born, Saudi Arabia bound traveler, there are many restrictions imposed by the Saudi Arabian government found at http://travel.state.gov//travel/cis_pa_tw/cis_1012.html. However, let me just share a few small travel infractions that can put you face to face with unbending Saudi Islamic ideology.

Saudi Arabia requires the completion of a documented medical examination prior to entry and does not allow anyone diagnosed with HIV or AIDS to enter their country.

As per the U.S. Department of State, “the U.S. Embassy and Consulate General have no standing in Saudi Courts. “ Persons found in violation of Saudi law, “even unknowingly, may be expelled, arrested, imprisoned, or even executed.” In other words, when you hit Saudi sand, you are on your own. All non-Saudi born travelers entering Saudi Arabia must pass rigorous and strict customs inspections, no exceptions. Criticism of the Royal family, or Islam, is treated as a serious crime. The Monarchy does not permit any non- Muslim religious materials or jewelry. These items will be confiscated and destroyed. Pornography—an arbitrary term that could include any issue of Sports illustrated—and alcohol possession are strictly forbidden, and drug trafficking of any kind carries the death sentence

The State Department website—previously mentioned—has also outlined the very strict and untrustworthy Saudi entry/exit visa screening/approval process that all non-Saudi born visitors must endure. Nowhere, is there an exception made for “known documented travelers” as is now the case for Saudi’s entering the United States under the DHS “Global Entry Program.”

Everyday, innocent American citizens—citizens with Constitutional rights—are required by law to wait on U.S. airport lines to be interrogated, felt up, irradiated and generally humiliated by the High School graduates working at the TSA. Combat Veterans in wheel chairs returning to U.S. soil are targeted as potential flight risks, yet the Obama Administration has determined that TSA pat downs and U.S. Customs baggage inspections are now an inconvenience for Saudi citizens wishing to visit America.

It bears mentioning; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been designated—by the bi-partisan U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom—as a “Country of Particular Concern” for its ongoing and merciless religious freedom violations. Saudi Arabia is the world’s principle financier of Islamic terrorism and an unabashed promoter of anti-western ideology. Saudi Arabia created Al Qaeda. Saudi oil money, laundered through U.S. based Islamic not-for-profit charities, paid for the 911 martyrdom operation that changed our world forever. Tens of thousands of American lives have been lost or torn apart fighting a war against a Saudi financed Islamist ideology, and contrary to the Presidents claims, they are still shooting at us, with bullets paid for, by Saudi oil profits.

President Obama and Janet Napolitano fail to understand that “legitimate” Saudi Arabian “trade” is terrorism. Facilitating its free travel in and out of the United States without adhering to the strictest of TSA and US Customs protocols is a gross dereliction of duty. This is not Benghazi. Saudi Arabia should have been cut off at the knees on September 12, 2001. All Islamic Charities and associated Sharia Compliant Banking operations in the U.S. should have been seized and liquidated. Unfortunately, neither Bush nor Obama have resolved this ongoing threat to our nation.

Why is it that our government and our President view Saudi Arabians as “trusted travelers,“ but none of us can get on a plane for a vacation or to attend a funeral without undergoing interrogation and removing our belts and shoes?

Dumb and Dangerous: America’s Fast Pass for Saudi Arabia

It’s business as usual in the post-9/11 world. Your federal government is back to pandering to wealthy travelers from Saudi Arabia. In the eyes of our massive homeland security apparatus, the comfort of Saudis is a higher priority than the safety of American citizens.

According to a new report released this week by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT), President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security plans to bestow “trusted traveler” status to travelers from Saudi Arabia. Yes, the home of 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers will soon enjoy the exclusive privilege of new entry shortcuts into the U.S.

Fox News points out: “Only an exclusive handful of countries enjoy inclusion in the Global Entry program: Canada, Mexico, South Korea and the Netherlands. Saudi suck-up Janet Napolitano, head of the Department of Homeland Security, hailed “the bond between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” and pledged to work with the government to facilitate “legitimate trade and travel.”

This foolish move is astonishing but not unprecedented. Throughout the jihadist-coddling Saudi kingdom, applicants could simply file their visa paperwork through travel agencies and courier companies for a small fee — without having to appear in person or submit to extensive background checks. The U.S. embassy in Riyadh bragged before 9/11: “Applicants will no longer have to take time off from work, no longer have to wait in long lines under the hot sun and in crowded waiting rooms, and no longer be limited by any time constraints.”

Investigative reporter Joel Mowbray obtained the shocking, shoddy applications filed by the hijackers — whose omissions about where, when and what they planned to do when they arrived in the U.S. should have raised blood-red flags. Moreover, State Department employees were banned from communicating with foreign governments about their citizens’ visa applications, making it virtually impossible to verify vital information. There is still no operational tracking system to detect and deport hundreds of thousands of visa overstayers, including untold numbers of illegal aliens from jihad-friendly Middle Eastern countries. DHS To Buy 360,000 More Rounds of Hollow Point Ammunition
Arms build-up continues as Congress demands answers

While the Department of Homeland Security continues to ignore members of Congress demanding to know why the federal agency is engaged in an apparent arms build-up, the DHS has just announced it plans to purchase another 360,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition to add to the roughly 2 billion bullets already bought over the past year.


The DHS has now purchased over 2 billion rounds of ammo.

A solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities website details the DHS’ plan to purchase 360,000 rounds of “Commercial leaded training ammo (CLTA) Pistol .40 caliber 165 grain, jacketed hollow point.” The bullets are to be delivered to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, the same destination for 240,000 hollow point rounds which were purchased only last month.

Although the DHS has attempted to explain its mammoth purchase of ammunition by claiming the bullets are being acquired in bulk to save money and that they are for training purposes only, this has been disputed by reputable voices such as former Marine Richard Mason, who told reporters with WHPTV News in Pennsylvania earlier this month, “We never trained with hollow points, we didn’t even see hollow points my entire four and a half years in the Marine Corps.”

Hollow point bullets are almost twice as expensive as full metal jackets, therefore the DHS’ explanation that it is buying huge quantities in bulk to “save money” doesn’t make sense.

As we reported yesterday, concerns about the apparent arms build-up are growing, with retired United States Army Captain Terry M. Hestilow sending a letter to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) warning that the ammo purchases represent “a bold threat of war by that agency (DHS), and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America.”

Questions from members of Congress about why the federal agency is buying up ammo, exacerbating shortages across the country, have been met with silence.

- Kansas Congressman Timothy Huelscamp said last week that threats should be made to withdraw funding from the DHS if it didn’t explain why it was purchasing so many bullets, remarking, “They have no answer for that question. They refuse to answer to answer that.”

- Earlier this month, New Jersey Congressman Leonard Lance said, “Congress has a responsibility to ask Secretary Napolitano as to exactly why these purchases have occurred,” signaling his intention to get answers.

- Californian Congressman Doug LaMalfa and 14 of his House colleagues have written a letter to the Department of Homeland Security asking if the purchases are, “being conducted in a manner that strategically denies the American people access to ammunition.”

Although members of Congress are treating the matter with the seriousness it deserves, the mainstream and leftist media have attempted to ridicule the entire issue as a conspiracy theory, with Atlantic Wire even suggesting that the story had its origins in a debunked email, a report that completely failed to even mention the admitted fact that the DHS had purchased around 2 billion bullets.

While the DHS continues to purchase bullets in large quantities, police departments have been forced to barter amongst each other in a desperate scramble to meet their ammo needs.

Dear Senator Cornyn,

It is with gravest concern that I write to you today concerning the recent appropriation of weapons by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that can only be understood as a bold threat of war by that agency, and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America. To date, DHS has been unwilling to provide to you, the elected representatives of the People, justification for recent purchases of almost 3,000 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) armored personnel carriers, 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition (with associated weapons), and other weapons systems, when, in fact, the DHS has no war mission or war making authority within the limits of the United States of America.

Significant is the fact that at the same time the Obama administration is arming his DHS for war within the limits of the United States against the People of the United States in accordance with his 2008 campaign speech claiming,

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve gotta (sic) have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded [as the United States military]”–Candidate Barack Obama, 2008.

The Obama administration is deliberately defunding, overextending, and hollowing the Department of Defense; the only legitimate agency of the U.S. government with a war mission.

This act of the Obama administration stands as a glaring threat of war against our nation’s citizens! This act of the Obama administration can only be understood as a tyrannical threat against the Constitution of the United States of America! If left unresolved, the peace loving citizens who have sworn to defend the United States Constitution “against all enemies, both foreign and domestic” are left no option except to prepare to defend themselves, and the U.S. Constitution, against this Administration’s “coup” against the People and the foundations of liberty fought for and defended for the past 238 years. We have no choice if we honor our oaths.

The only proper response to this threat against the American people is for the representatives of the People, the members of the U.S. House and Senate, to demand in clear terms that the Administration cannot ignore, that the Department of Homeland Security immediately surrender their newly appropriated weapons of war to the Department of Defense (DoD). Further, since the DHS has assumed a position in the Administration to enforce the tyrannical acts of this president against the People of the United States against the limits of the United States Constitution, it remains for the United States Congress to exercise its limiting power in the balancing of powers established by our founding fathers, to disestablish and dissolve the DHS as soon as possible. One needs only to look to the rise of Adolf Hitler, and his associated DHS organizations, the SA and the SS, of 1932-1934, to see the outcome of allowing an agency of government this kind of control over the free citizens of a nation. The people of Germany could not have imagined, until it was too late, the danger of allowing a tyrant this kind of power. We must not be so naïve as to think it will not happen to us as well if we remain passive toward this power grab by the Marxist Obama administration!

Finally, for more than two centuries the nation has lived in peace at home because of the protections of our legitimate military and the many appropriate state and federal law enforcement agencies, supported by Constitutional courts. We stand today at a cross-road. Will we allow this present Administration to overthrow our United States Constitution and its legal processes to amend injustices, or, will we honor our obligations to defend the Constitution against a “domestic” enemy? Our Constitution lays out the proper methods of resolving our differences; and it does not include its overthrow by a rogue agency of a Marxist leadership at home. You, sir, are our constitutionally elected agent to defend our Constitution at home. We are counting upon you. We remain aware, however, of this present threat and will not expose ourselves as an easy prey to the authors of the destruction of our nation.

I know that this letter demands much of you. We elected you because we, the citizens of the State of Texas, believe that you are up to the task at hand and will, against all threats, honor your oath and office. We are also writing to your fellow members of the House and Senate to stand in integrity with the Constitution and against this present threat by the Obama administration and his DHS.

We refuse to surrender our Constitution or our nation!

Local law enforcement agencies across the country are facing an ammo shortage, as gun owners concerned about new laws at the federal and state level stock up on firearms and bullets. At the same time, the Department of Homeland Security has said it wants to buy more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the next four or five years -- which could put further strain on the supply.

DHS sure are buying a whole lot of guns and bullets, after claiming they don't want you to buy guns and bullets.
