    Both Republicans & Democrats

We're "broke" and can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless, etc.?? but the millionaire Congressmen and their staff - and the White House and their staff - got a raise ??

In the last years we have provided direct cash aid to

    Hamas - 351 M,
    Libya 1.45 B,
    Egypt - 397 M,
    Mexico - 622 M,
    Russia - 380 M,
    Haiti - 1.4 B,
    Jordan - 463 M,
    Kenya - 816 M,
    Sudan - 870 M,
    Nigeria - 456 M,
    Uganda - 451 M,
    Congo - 359 M,
    Ethiopia - 981 M,
    Pakistan - 2 B,
    South Afrika - 566 M,
    Senegal - 698 M,
    Mozambique - 404 M,
    Zambia - 331 M,
    Kazakhstan - 304 M,
    Iraq - 1.08 B,
    Tanzania - 554 M

literally Billions of Dollars and they still hate us!!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour
Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without needed medication and mentally ill without treatment -etc.

They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies. YET the East Coast victims ( taxpayers )of Sandy go with out needed help. Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries.

    Sad isn't it?

99% of people won't have the guts to forward this.

    I'm one of the 1% --

Who, What, Why: Could the US get a $1tn platinum coin?
By Jon Kelly BBC News Magazine

Campaigners want to prevent the US's rising debt from bringing government spending to a halt by minting the world's most expensive coin. Could this bizarre scheme become reality?

It sounds like the plot of some whimsical comedy - the 1954 Gregory Peck film The Million Dollar Note springs to mind - but a drive to create super-valuable loose change is being taken seriously in the corridors of Washington DC.

A petition urging the creation of platinum coin worth $1tn (£624bn) has attracted nearly 7,000 signatures and the support of some heavyweight economists.

Experts say the plan would be lawful and should allow the government to keep spending if President Barack Obama fails to convince lawmakers to raise the "debt ceiling" - a cap, set by Congress, on the US government's borrowing ability.

But most believe the coin is more likely to be used as a threat than ever actually come into being. "When people first hear about it they think, 'Oh, it's a gimmick,'" says L Randall Wray, professor of economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. "But it makes you think harder about the way the government spends."

    The answer

Campaigners say minting a high-value denomination and depositing it at the Federal Reserve would allow the Treasury to keep spending if debt-ceiling talks failBut the coin is widely expected to remain a hypothetical bargaining chip

The coin owes its widely-discussed, though still hypothetical existence to the looming deadline over the debt ceiling - which, as things stand, will prevent the US government issuing new bonds and paying bills, in about two months.

Republicans, who control the US House of Representatives, have pledged to seek spending cuts before consenting to any increase in this limit. But opponents fear this brinksmanship could threaten the US's credit rating if the country's debt reaches or breaks through this ceiling.

These mostly centre-left critics, including Democratic Congressman Jerrold Nadler, have pointed to a loophole in US law that allows the Treasury Secretary to allocate any value he or she likes to a coin.

They say the Treasury could order the coin to be minted and then deposit it at the Federal Reserve, the US's central bank.

The Federal Reserve would receive a valuable new deposit under the plan
Effectively, the coin is an accounting trick, says Cullen Roche, who blogs about finance and economics at Pragmatic Capitalism.

Its real purpose, however, would be political - to neutralise the threat by Republicans in Congress that federal employees would not be paid, he adds.

"It's a loophole to replace something that's totally insane with something that's slightly less insane," he says.

The campaign has been taken seriously by such eminent people as Nobel prize-winning economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, and Philip Diehl, the former director of the United States Mint. It has also inspired the Twitter hashtag, #MintTheCoin.

But it has attracted opposition, too. Republican Congressman Greg Walden has promised to introduce a bill to ban the government from creating high-value coins to pay its debts.

Walden said he feared the practice would be "very inflationary".

Wray disagrees. "These trillion-dollar coins are held only by the Fed," he says. "There's no increase in the money supply out there."

Supporters of the scheme also say the Federal Reserve could sell bonds, which would withdraw money from circulation.

As yet, however, no such coins exist anywhere. And even those who believe the plan is perfectly feasible concede that it is likely to remain a bargaining chip in the debt-ceiling talks, rather than becoming a reality.

"I think the president will be reluctant to do it because it undermines everyone's credibility," says Roche.

Coin collectors might be advised not to hold their breath about this new denomination turning up on eBay any time soon.

Carney: Deficit reduction is not a worthy goal onto itself
    By Doug Powers • January 10, 2013 04:23 PM

During the fiscal cliff negotiations, John Boehner said President Obama told him “we don’t have a spending problem.” Judging from Jay Carney’s response to a debt ceiling question at yesterday’s press conference, that opinion is held administration-wide: http://weaselzippers.us/2013/01/10/c...a-worthy-goal/

“Most importantly because deficit reduction is not a worthy goal onto itself. This is all about making our economy stronger, making it more productive and allowing it to create even more jobs. That is the most important thing when it comes to economic policy as far as the President is concerned.”
Shorter Carney answer http://twitchy.com/2013/01/09/white-...mpaign=twitter : “Three words buddy — trillion dollar coin.” http://michellemalkin.com/2013/01/09...n-dollar-coin/

As far as deficit reduction not being a worthy goal, a few years ago we were told it was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=RGt4LYMXQpo

In 2008 we were told that a government spending far more than it was taking in was unpatriotic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEfPRs8mBiw

Now, if you don’t want your taxes to go up to cover a government spending far more than it’s taking in, you’re unpatriotic. http://www.whitehousedossier.com/201...xes-patriotic/

Carney’s statement is predicated on the ridiculous notion that reduced government spending and a growing economy are mutually exclusive, but “you have to spend money to keep from going bankrupt” is sound economic policy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHFEc...layer_embedded

There is deficit and there is debt. The deficit contributes to the debt. The debt is subject to interest being charged for that debt. The gov keeps rolling over the debt so that we only pay the interest on the debt while we increase the debt with more of the deficit, because 40 cents of every dollar spent is the deficit. There is no budget, so we don’t know by how the deficit is growing. In essence, the gov has maxed out the credit card and is now transferring the balance to a new credit card with a higher limit, with the intention of only paying the minimum payment and never working on the balance. So how much have the interest payments been? How much has been paid for interest on the interest? What Carney really means is that they have a mandate to be irresponsible. If the powers that be don’t see it as a problem, then the MSM should not be concerned with it either. And they wonder why the public is scared.

    ..

If Obama truly wanted to fix the economy, get jobs back and therefore generate more revenue…why is he doing everything he can to destroy the economy? Surely he knows by now that his policies are poison to the economy. None of it works. And by the massive regulations and shutting down our oil refineries and drilling, our economy will NOT recover. If Obama doesn’t realize that by now, he is a lot dumber than I thought. And he isn’t dumb. So…where does he think the money will come from? Confiscating 100% of everyone’s earnings? Won’t work your Majesty! We will just stop working. There is NO FIX for the kind of money Obama wants except to fix the economy so that revenues once again pour into DC. Why isn’t he doing that? I am baffled by this. What has he to gain?

    ..

We have no budget, so the money Obama spends has not been allocated. As Rambler notes,we are paying interest on the interest on the debt. Now Obama wants to eliminate any curbs on spending. What the heck is going on with him and his minions? It seems they truly are intent on wreaking havoc on our economy and there doesn’t seem to be any way to stop them. Borrowing non-existent money to give to people who are expected to spend it to improve the economy is just plain nuts!

    ..

If jobs and productivity are the top priorities of our President, wouldn’t putting money back into the public coffers, and back into taxpayer hands, accomplish just that?

Taxpayers tend to be more responsible people, and so when taxpayers get more money in an economy like the one we have, they tend to put more of it into savings or paying down debt than the more financially reckless and irresponsible people will tend to do.

It is better to take money from the responsible taxpayers and give it to irresponsible nontaxpayers, who will be more likely to spend it, and to government workers who will be more likely to give it back to Democrats in the form of campaign contributions.

Yes, Democrats really think that is good government policy.

    ..

Now, if you don’t want your taxes to go up to cover a government spending far more than it’s taking in, you’re unpatriotic.
So now all the tax dodging politicos are *bad guys* - like Kerry moving his 7.2 million dollar boat to avoid taxes ?

Jay Carney sums up the problem
    By Doug Powers • January 13, 2013 11:34 AM

Many Democrats have been urging President Obama to bypass Congress and take action to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling. http://news.yahoo.com/democratic-lea...-business.html Yesterday, while rejecting that suggestion (farewell, trillion dollar coin), Jay Carney summed up the reason we’re buried under an ever-expanding mountain of debt: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...-ceiling-move/

“There are only two options to deal with the debt limit: Congress can pay its bills, or it can fail to act and put the nation into default,” White House press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement. “Congress needs to do its job.”
“Pay its bills”? Only in DC can raising the debt ceiling to over $18 trillion (and beyond) to accommodate a refusal to rein in an insane level of deficit spending be considered “paying the bills.”

Here’s a projection of each American’s share of publicly held debt thanks to that definition of “paying the bills”: http://www.heritage.org/federalbudge...al-debt-burden

the fact is the usa will not default on it’s debt if we fail to increase the debt ceiling, but moochers will need to get jobs. our constitution puts creditors in line first, and moochers in the back of the line.

    ..

    Someone, listening to this cr@p (in the media audience);
    oughta inform sideshow barker Carney,
that his BOSS (and the Senate), are the problem.

    Something about logic:

Spending our way, to prosperity, is illogical.

    ..

Yes everyone in DC needs to do their job, but our President knows how to do it best. He’s got some great company in that regard. http://punditpete.blogspot.com/2012/...m-he-past.html

“It may be necessary to use methods other than constitutional ones.” — Robert Mugabe, President (for life) of Zimbabwe
    ...

Raising the debt ceiling is not paying bills. It’s borrowing or printing money to keep the cash flowing. By not having the money to actually pay the bills, raising the debt ceiling is permission to acquire even more unpaid bills. All the dems who voted to not raise the debt ceiling the last time should be shamed into voting against it the next time. The back room deals made to decide who will vote for something so others can appear to vote against it to preserve their seats, needs to be exposed.

    ..

We need to flush the kabuki out of the system. Step one is to stop reacting to it. We need our own narrative spoken in a language understood by ALL Americans. That is what the Tea Party is all about.

    ..

I’ve been thinking that maybe “kabuki” is not the best description for what is going on. I prefer Greek drams where scenes are separated by chanting choruses who cross the stage alternately with strophes, and antistrophes and the fianl epode to explain the plot. One script, two competing narratives but the ending is already written.

    ..

And the dominant genre of the ancient Helenistic theatre – the Greek Tragedy – where the chorus clues the audience that the actors are pursuing a course in the plot that will certainly lead to ruin and the voices of reason are silenced – usually with violence. That’s a fit.
    ..

*Still the best analogy for the debt ceiling I have heard goes as such:
**If your house is filled from the basement to 2nd floor ceiling with human waste, would you call in a contractor to raise the ceiling 2ft or so, or would you find and plug the leak and then pump out and discard the human waste?**
*Logic and common sense does the latter; Lacking both qualities, the DemoGoprogs of DC carry on with their insane death spiral!

    ...

if I suddenly only earned 60% of what I spent, cable TV would go, cell phones would go, restaraunts would go, subscriptions would go, thermostat settings would change, car usage would be slashed, etc.

Obama’s response to the problem is to give federal workers a raise.

    ..

Want to get your blood pressure up today just check out this story about the changes to veterans and other military families health care as they are being forced into more expensive plans simply based on where they live …

This is a Obama Administration Disgrace http://www.stripes.com/news/americas...prime-1.203452

New Year’s Day tax ‘massacre’ is ‘gift that keeps giving’
    1:06 AM 01/14/2013

The fiscal cliff deal cut in the wee hours of New Year’s Day was a late Christmas present, according to FreedomWorks’ Matt Kibbe, whose tea party group plans to capitalize on what he called a tax “massacre” heading into the 2014 midterm elections. “Our sense is that the New Year’s Day massacre is … unfortunately, is going to be a gift that keeps giving,” Kibbe told The Daily Caller in a phone interview.

Asked who was massacred, Kibbe said “the taxpayers … [and] fiscal responsibility are getting massacred.”

“I think, whether we like it or not, this constant budget crisis — which I think is by design — is going to continue to define the congressional debate all the way up until the 2014 election,” he continued.

“And we view each of these failures … as opportunities to educate the American public on the gross irresponsibility of the representation in Washington,” Kibbe said, describing it as “a teaching moment for America on exactly how not to do things.”

FreedomWorks, he said, will focus on educating the public about why the fiscal cliff deal was bad politics and bad policy. “Just educating people on how the budget process is supposed to work and why it is that these midnight deals behind closed doors cut between [Kentucky Republican] Senator [Mitch] McConnell and [Vice President] Joe Biden is such a fundamental corruption of honest government,” Kibbe said.

Kibbe added that he believes the process upset people almost as much as the deal’s details. “You know the tea party was born out of the way that Wall Street was bailed out behind closed doors at the last minute … as opposed to some open, transparent conversation that the American people could be part of,” Kibbe said. “Since they are the shareholders, the people who foot the bill for these things, it seems only right that they would be allowed to participate in that conversation.”

“How is it possible that again and again and again, these backroom deals are cut when the American people are paying the least possible amount of attention?” he asked. “If you had any luck, you were out on a date with your wife on New Year’s Eve, and probably too hung over to read the budget authorization language on New Year’s morning. And I think that whole system is a shakedown by design.”

As FreedomWorks prepares for the 2014 elections, Kibbe said his group will be taking a more active role in making sure the right candidates get into the races, whether that means subjecting sitting Republicans to primary challenges, or finding the right candidates to challenge incumbent Democrats.

“I think in 2014 and 2016, if we don’t see a compelling candidate that meets both our philosophical and practical criteria for what it takes to win, we’re gonna go try to convince that man or woman to get into the race,” he said. “And that didn’t happen in 2012 and we probably paid the price for that, for settling on the best available candidates instead of the right candidates.”

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

Obama: Not raising the debt ceiling would be like a dine-and-dash at a restaurant
    By Doug Powers • January 14, 2013 03:32 PM

“You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college. You prioritise. You make tough choices.” – President Obama, February 2010

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...Las-Vegas.html
    *****

President Obama held the final press conference of his first term today. “We need to pay our bills” is the latest craze to justify raising the debt ceiling (try that one on your credit card company when you hit your limit).

Here are a few quotes from a presser that revolved in part around the debt ceiling and gun control, which led to some interesting metaphor placement: http://www.businessinsider.com/obama...ference-2013-1

“I’m happy to have that conversation,” Obama said of future deficit-reduction talks. “What I will not do is have that negotiation with a gun at the head of the American people.”
That was about as subtle as Joe Biden in a Dunkin’ Donuts. Speaking of guns, what the heck is a “magazine clip”? http://twitchy.com/2013/01/14/know-n...ke-more-money/

Need more comparisons? You got ‘em: Congress, don’t dine-and-dash: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...dine-and-dash/

“You don’t go out to dinner and then eat all you want and then leave without paying the check,” Obama said.

Of course not. You make sure your dinner tab is charged to the kids and grandkids of everybody else in the restaurant, then you leave.

The press conference also featured hostage-takers: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...01-14-11-57-50
“They will not collect a ransom in exchange for not crashing the economy,” he said at the 21st and final news conference of his first term.
    And economic terrorism: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/7...ebt-limit.html

Failure to raise the debt limit would put the United States into a first-ever default, a step that Obama said could “blow up the economy.”
Top Dems urging President Obama to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling all voted against raising the ceiling in 2006 http://washingtonexaminer.com/top-de...4#.UPRYmUko4ic — including then-Senator Obama. Remember this? http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics...-debt-ceiling/

In 2006 the need to raise the debt ceiling was a sign that America can’t pay its bills. In 2013 the need to raise the debt ceiling is a critical element in allowing America to pay its bills.

Today, Major Garrett reminded Obama that “you yourself” voted against raising the debt ceiling back when Bush was president, and Obama easily side-stepped it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffKa5...layer_embedded

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” he said. “It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership.”

Oh, and Obama also announced that Janet Napolitano will remain as head of Homeland Security for the foreseeable future. America will sleep better knowing this.

"I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on Aug. 3rd if we haven't resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it," Obama told CBS's Scott Pelley in an interview set to air tonight on the CBS Evening News.

Roughly $20 billion in Social Security checks are set to be mailed out on Aug. 3--a day after the Treasury Department says the U.S. will begin defaulting on its financial obligations unless the debt ceiling is raised.

But the president cautioned that it's more than just Social Security checks that could be affected. "These are veterans' checks. These are folks on disability," Obama said, according to excerpts released by CBS News. "There are about 70 million checks that go out."

The president's comments come a day after he warned of dire financial consequences should Republicans and Democrats fail to come to an agreement on raising the debt ceiling and paying down the deficit. In a press conference yesterday, Obama said if Republicans fail to compromise on a debt deal that it could "throw millions of more people out of work."

Obama and congressional leaders are set to meet again later today as the two sides continue to bicker over the debt ceiling and how to shore up the nation's dire fiscal state. The White House is pressing for an agreement by July 22nd--a little over a week before Aug. 2, the date when Treasury officials say the U.S. will hit its debt limit.

The president said Monday he wants a large scale agreement that will tackle both the debt ceiling and deficit reduction until after the 2012 elections. He insisted he will veto any short-term, stop-gap measure aimed at continuing the debate. But Republicans have signaled they won't accept a deal that could result in a tax increase and are now pressing for either a smaller agreement, focusing just on the debt ceiling, or a measure that possibly includes the repeal of Obama's health care plan.

On Tuesday, Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell said he believes it's unlikely a deal to fix to the nation's deficit problems will be reached until Obama leaves office because the administration has expressed a "fundamental unwillingness" to agree to major spending cuts.

"After years of discussions and months of negotiations, I have little question that as long as this president is in the Oval Office, a real solution is unattainable," McConnell said in a Senate floor speech.

What does not make any sense is the fact that as of January 1st all working tax payers contribution to SS was reduced from 6.2% to 4.2% with the promise that the government will make up the difference. Really?

Cut off all foreign aid, no more presidential trips (or family trips) but don't mess with two things: Social Security benefits and military pay. Congress and the rest of this Administration can wait for theirs. Scare tactics like this don't serve a purpose. I can't believe a President would actually say something like this.

    ---

Social Security is supposed to be in a lock box. If they can't cut the checks that means they spent the money

    ---

I'm sure that all the politicians will still get paid though.

The first checks to be held up should be those for the 537 buffoons in Washington. These clowns get all the perks and pay nothing and do nothing for them. We get screwed and have to pay for that too.

    ----

I can't believe what I am reading. I actually take that as a threat to my well being. You can't get the debt straightened out so you are going to keep MY money. What part of the ransom note did I miss. I have just about had enough. Grown men playing such terrible games with individuals such as myself that depend on social security to live not just exist but to live. Like pay my mortgage, health insurance, meds or and food to eat. What has happened to this country. I worked hard all my life, 2 and even 3 jobs to support my family, pay my taxes and even put money away in a ira for retirement. Here I sit with my ira next to nothing because of the economy and now you are going to hold my social security check for ransom.

    ====

SO THEY ARE GOING TO PAY FORIGN COUNTRIES FIRST AND SCREW THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ?!?

    ---

What about foreign aid. Why don't we ever hear about immediate cuts in foreign aid (outside of humanitarian aid).

    ---

You know, as many other posters, I have paid my taxes for over thirty years and my parents for 40 before that. We've all paid into Social Security. Our parents will see part of what they paid in, but my husband and I never will. I don't see Social Security as an "entitlement" for seniors. They've paid it and should get it back. If the government would have stopped robbing Peter to pay Paul it would not be in the mess its in. If I wanted to just keep raising my debt ceiling whenever I wanted to spend more, the credit card companies and banks would laugh me out of their offices or off the phone. Why should the government be allowed to just have a limitless revolving account with our money???
AP: President Barack Obama is proposing cuts to Social Security as an attempt to compromise with Republicans on the budget. A senior administration official says the budget he will offer would reduce the deficit by $1.8 trillion over 10 years. It includes a revised inflation adjustment that would curb cost-of-living increases in Social Security and other benefit programs. http://www.wafb.com/story/21888546/o...ocial-security

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's proposed budget will call for reductions in the growth of Social Security and other benefit programs by including a proposal to lower cost-of-living adjustments to government social safety net spending, a senior administration official says.

The proposal attempts to strike a compromise with congressional Republicans on the Fiscal 2014 budget by combining the president's demand for higher taxes with GOP insistence on reductions in entitlement programs.

The official, who spoke on a condition of anonymity to describe a budget that has yet to be released, said Obama would reduce the federal government deficit by $1.8 trillion over 10 years.

A key feature of the plan Obama is proposing for the federal budget year beginning Oct. 1 is a revised inflation adjustment called "chained CPI." This new formula would effectively curb annual annual increases in a broad swath of government programs, but would have its biggest impact on Social Security.

Obama's budget proposal also calls for additional tax revenue, including a proposal to place limits on tax-preferred retirement accounts for wealthy taxpayers. Obama has also called for limits on tax deductions by the wealthy, a proposal that could generate about $580 billion in revenue over ten years.

The inflation adjustment would reduce federal spending over 10 years by about $130 billion, according to past White House estimates. Because it also affects how tax brackets are adjusted, it would also generate about $100 in higher taxes and affect even middle income taxpayers.

Obama's budget, to be released next week, comes after the Republican-controlled House and the Democratic-run Senate passed separate and markedly different budget proposals. House Republicans achieved long-term deficit reductions by targeting safety net programs; Democrats instead protected those programs and called for $1 trillion in tax increases.

Obama's budget proposal includes features from an offer he made to House Speaker John Boehner during fiscal negotiations last year. Those talks ultimately failed but Congress did agree to increase tax rates on the wealthiest Americans.

The reductions in growth of benefit programs, which would affect veterans, the poor and the older Americans, is sure to anger many Democrats. Labor groups and liberals have long been critical of Obama's offer to Boehner for including such a plan.

This was sent to me by a friend. Thanks, Susan.

I don't think 'pissed' really covers it...

Alan Simpson, the Senator from Wyoming calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared "Social Security " to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats. Here's a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana ... I think she is a little ticked off! She also tells it like it is!
"Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight!

    1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (tit) for FIFTY YEARS.

    2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

    3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud

    4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and "your ilk" pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, you and your "shill commission" are proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.

    5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now "you morons" propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because "you idiots" mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills.

    6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you "incompetent bastards" spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt.

To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "BS" to your incompetence.

Well, Captain BS, I have a few questions for YOU:

    1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?

    2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

    3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

    4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?

It is you, Captain BS, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and your fellow nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers.

And for what? Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk-headed, leech.

That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic, political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it.

And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch.

P.S. And stop calling Social Security benefits "entitlements". WHAT AN INSULT!!!!

I have been paying in to the SS system for 45 years “It's my money”-give it back to me the way the system was designed and stop patting yourself on the back like you are being generous by doling out these monthly checks .

EVERYONE!! If you agree with what a Montana citizen, Patty Myers, says, please PASS IT ON!!!!
