» Obama to West Point: You’re fighting for the New World Order, or something....

b]Let’s recall that it was President George H. W. Bush who first talked about a “new world order,” and in just about the same context — a foreign war in Southwest Asia that had failing popularity. Obama doesn’t go nearly as far as Bush did in exhorting support for international organizations in his speech today at West Point, but he goes far enough to catch the attention of the Washington Post:
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...052201586.html

President Obama on Saturday pledged to shape a new “international order” as part of a national security strategy that emphasizes his belief in global institutions and America’s role in promoting democratic values around the world.

Speaking to the graduating class at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point — the ninth wartime commencement in a row, he said — the commander in chief who is leading two foreign wars expressed his faith in cooperation and partnerships to confront the economic, military and environmental challenges of the future.

“The international order we seek is one that can resolve the challenges of our times,’” he said in prepared remarks. “Countering violent extremism and insurgency; stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and securing nuclear materials; combating a changing climate and sustaining global growth; helping countries feed themselves and care for their sick; preventing conflict and healing its wounds.”

The administration is set to officially release the president’s first national security strategy next week, and Obama’s preview on Saturday suggests it will be far different than the first one offered by his predecessor in 2002. In that prior document, President George W. Bush formally called for a policy of preemptive war and a “distinctly American internationalism.”

Obama has spoken frequently about shaping new alliances with the world, and of attempts to repair the U.S. image abroad after nearly a decade in which Bush’s approach was viewed with suspicion in many quarters. In his commencement speech to the graduates, the president emphasized his beliefs in those alliances.

“Yes, we are clear-eyed about the shortfalls of our international system. But America has not succeeded by stepping outside the currents of international cooperation,” he said. “We have succeeded by steering those currents in the direction of liberty and justice — so nations thrive by meeting their responsibilities, and face consequences when they don’t.”
Of course, Bush managed to keep terrorists from staging attack attempts in the US from the 2002 shoe-bombing attempt until he left office, a six-year run, with that “distinctly American internationalism” that Obama has spent the last 16 months changing. In the context of national security, the Obama administration has thus far had lesser success. Dennis Blair got the boot as the national intel chief just this week thanks in large part to missing three terrorist attacks in the last six months, and the wooing of Russia and abandonment of China has done nothing to move the needle on Iran, one of the most critical national-security issues we face.
No one believes that Obama will continue support for pre-emptive war, but even if he gave rhetorical support for it, Obama has shown little enthusiasm for such forward strategies — except, it should be noted, in Afghanistan. In every other instance, Obama has ceded American leadership and range of action to the notion of the supremacy of international agencies like the UN. It’s not the same as the NWO conspiracy theories floating around the Internet, but it falls squarely in the hard-Left realm of the kind of “global test” that John Kerry demanded during his presidential campaign in 2004.
Interestingly, CNN waits until its very last paragraph to mention the “international order” reference in the speech: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...id=oCT7JDtIDx6

Obama said the world’s burdens cannot just be America’s and alliances that has served the United States well must be maintained, strengthened and widened.
“The international order we seek is one that can resolve the challenges of our times – countering violent extremism and insurgency; stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and securing nuclear materials; combating a changing climate and sustaining global growth; helping countries feed themselves and care for their sick; preventing conflict and healing its wounds.”
If he finds one that could do any of the above, it would be the first. Bush 41’s idea of a “new world order” preceded the explosion of Islamist terrorism against the US, which the UN, the IAEA, and other multinationals proved inadequate or completely anachronistic to confront. The lesson from the past century is that these multinational organizations exist to maintain inertia and to hobble the democracies while giving tyrants a boost through moral relativism. In any case, telling West Point cadets that they’re fighting to establish an “international order” hardly seems like an inspirational moment.

It used to be the any reference to "a New World Order" was dismissed as crazy talk .... now .....

Obama: Speak Softly Until They Put A Big Stick Up Your Azz

There's nothing new in what the quisling punk in chief is saying here, simply a younger generation buying it, as they are unexperienced as regards the disasters Carter and Clinton brought us. Just look at Iran, North Korea, Lebanon and Venezuela, among others. What is it that decades of talking has accomplished besides stalemate, or worse, retreat and surrender? And Bush was no warmonger, as the idiots on the Left want to portray him. He employed diplomacy by default and to great resort before committing to military action, as every president should.

But at least with Bush one knew there was a big stick to be used when all the talking failed. Unfortunately, the Left and the media did everything they could to defeat both Bush and our military almost from the time war broke out. Obama is simply Act II of that treasonous and tragic anti-American travesty of the Democrat Party.

The only big stick Obama carries around is the one up his azz, which, if nothing else, at least prepares the way for the ones the enemies of freedom have in store for their useful idiot in the WH. Unfortunately, it's the rest of America, including her men and women at arms, who will feel the real pain when they deploy their sticks. Unlike Obama's, theirs come with points on them. He's a pretender as an American leader and an appeasement monkey. And I'm sick of him, as I suspect most Americans are. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/23/us...s/23obama.html

Eight years after President George W. Bush came to the United States Military Academy here to set a new course for American security in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks, Mr. Obama used the same setting to offer a revised doctrine, one that vowed no retreat against enemies while seeking “national renewal and global leadership.”

“Yes, we are clear-eyed about the shortfalls of our international system,” the president told graduating cadets. “But America has not succeeded by stepping outside the currents of international cooperation. We have succeeded by steering those currents in the direction of liberty and justice, so nations thrive by meeting their responsibilities, and face consequences when they don’t.”

Mr. Obama said the United States “will be steadfast in strengthening those old alliances that have served us so well” while also trying to “build new partnerships and shape stronger international standards and institutions.” He added: “This engagement is not an end in itself. The international order we seek is one that can resolve the challenges of our times.”

What a load of horse manure. Bush never acted unilaterally--we had the support of Britain, Australia, and many other allies. It is an insult to them and the sacrifices they have made in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere to ignore their contribution. And this is just another signal of weakness to our enemies. Don't worry, America will not protect her interests unless we get the permission of the "international community."

    ---

The real issue, the real question for Americans is: Do we want to be flooded with half of Mexico’s (and Central America’s) population? Much less, half the world? Do we really need unending immigration, especially with perpetual 10% unemployment expected?

This “replacement of the US population” by the political class of course, favors politicians, as poor, lowly educated foreigners, are tailor made for the social programs that politicians create (think Obamacare). They are also much more likely to become liberal Democratic voters if and when they become citizens.

But once again, the real issue is, do you want to be a bi-lingual, bi-cultural nation, with much of the Western US being almost exclusively Latino (Mexico North)?

    ----

What the hell is he talking about...?

Mr. Obama said the United States “will be steadfast in strengthening those old alliances that have served us so well” while also trying to “build new partnerships and shape stronger international standards and institutions.”

If we have made any new allies or strengthened old ones then I am not aware of it. Obama has managed to offend just about everybody and things are so bad I almost expect Aruba to invade the U.S. because we look like such a ***** now.

    ---

The 4,000 plus Americans who died in vain, in a war sold on lies and ego, seems a small price to the hard right apparatchiks here and elsewhere but it seems their world view is dwindling to such a small band of dead-enders and has been so thoroughly discredited that one can only pity the delusional.

    Speaking of war...

    By Greyhawk

    News from West Point: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/23/us...s/23obama.html

Mr. Obama all but declared victory in Iraq, crediting the military but not Mr. Bush, who sent more troops in 2007. "A lesser Army might have seen its spirit broken," Mr. Obama said. "But the American military is more resilient than that. Our troops adapted, they persisted, they partnered with coalition and Iraqi counterparts, and through their competence and creativity and courage, we are poised to end our combat mission in Iraq this summer."
Speaking for myself only, you're welcome. Ignoring who - besides the troops - does or doesn't get the credit, it absolutely was a ***** to fight an enemy overseas while a lot of ****bags in our own Congress kept saying they had won. http://www.mudvillegazette.com/033676.html

Obama lifts Bush joke to use at West Point commencement

    Jeannie DeAngelis

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/..._to_use_a.html

Obama has done a lot of astonishing things. In fact everyday is more shocking than the day prior. However, bootlegging jokes takes outrageous to a whole new level. Comparing Obama's remarks at the 2010 West Point graduation with G. W. Bush's commencement address in 2002 reveals Barry may have lifted a gag line from George.

To be fair, Barack can't be held fully responsible, after all Obama is the first full-fledged teleprompter President adept only at reading words from a digitized screen like a mind-numbed robot. However, unless the tradition to "excuse minor conduct offenses" at a West Point commencement also includes a specific funny punch line, Barack Obama knowingly or unknowingly plagiarized George W. Bush.

In 2002 George W. was warmly received at West Point as the commencement keynote speaker. The former president, who has a naturally relaxed sense of humor, said the following:

West Point is guided by tradition, and in honor of the "Golden Children of the Corps," (applause) I will observe one of the traditions you cherish most. As the Commander-in-Chief, I hereby grant amnesty to all cadets who are on restriction for minor conduct offenses. (Applause.) Those of you in the end zone might have cheered a little early. (Laughter.)

Because, you see, I'm going to let General Lennox define exactly what "minor" means. (Laughter.)
Based on two applauses and two laughter responses, in four sentences, George's statements and tag line genuinely amused the cadets. When President Bush spoke, the West Point graduates response did not appear to be a demonstration of just "Duty, Honor and Country." The former president's leadership love and respect for the cadets, both then and now, was indisputably appreciated the US military.

However, Barack Hussein Obama received quite a different response. Love to lord over Barak's original statement included an awkward reminder to United States cadets, lest they forget, that as Commander-in-Chief, "there are some areas where [his] power is absolute." After which, the global community organizer attempted to do stand up comedy and it appears he did so by stealing a gag from George W. Bush's 2002 address.

Donning a slapstick stance, Obama said the following,

To the United States Corps of Cadets, and most of all, the Class of 2010 - it is an honor to serve as your Commander-in-Chief. Under our constitutional system, my power as President is wisely limited. But there are some areas where my power is absolute. And so, as your Commander-in-Chief, I hereby absolve all cadets who are on restriction for minor conduct offenses.

That's a lot of cheering. So I'll leave the definition of "minor" to those who know better.
Due to lack of cheering, Obama supposedly skipped over, "That's a lot of cheering," but left Bush's joke about leaving "the definition of ‘minor' to those who know better." Obama's remark was reportedly met with a tepid response.

Obama usually gleans laughs from liberals by mocking GW, not by lifting comedic verbiage from Bush commencement addresses. Barack's comments revealed two very important things. First, Obama has no idea where the words on the teleprompter come from.

And second, there is no need for pilfering, President Obama is more than able to come up with jokes on his own. For example Barry said, "Under our constitutional system, my power as President is wisely limited."

Now if Obama really expects graduating cadets, or any living-breathing creature on the planet to believe he believes the Constitution was wise in limiting presidential power, then Barry did out perform George W. Bush, at least in the jest department, by delivering the most hilarious joke in decades.

You will NOT believe the threat Obama just gave to the military
Written by Allen West on May 21, 2015

Ok, so you’ve gone through four tough years at an American Service Academy and you find out that the Commander-in-Chief is your commencement speaker. You sit there awaiting some inspiring address on leadership and how you as a young Second Lieutenant/Ensign will face the challenges as an American leader to protect our nation — to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. Your parents, family, and friends are there to see your transition from Cadet or Midshipman into the legacy of leadership. You’re on pins and needles as the Commander-in-Chief steps to the microphone and your heart is racing as your battle-tested former military president utters the first words — and then you snap back to reality and realize it was all a dream.

You look up and see in actual fact it’s President Barack Obama and he tells you that climate change is the biggest threat to the nation — and folks, that is not a dream. It really did happen.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...n_of_duty.html

    Video http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...e_9y5aVTlbHSgG

As reported by Real Clear Politics, http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...n_of_duty.html

“President Obama delivered the keynote address at the United States Coast Guard Academy commencement Wednesday in New London, Connecticut. In his commencement speech, Obama warned graduates climate change is one of the largest threats they will have to face as they defend the United States and our nation’s interests abroad.”

“In his speech, Obama said denying climate change or refusing to deal with it is negligence and “dereliction of duty.”“If you see storm clouds gathering or dangerous shoals ahead you don’t just sit back and do nothing,” President Obama said Wednesday. “You take action to protect your ship, to keep your crew safe. Anything less is negligence. It is a dereliction of duty. So too with climate change.” “Denying it or refusing to deal with it endangers our national security,” Obama also said. “It undermines the readiness of our forces.”

I know, you just cannot believe it. Well, here are his exact words:

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Climate change is one of those most severe threats. This is not just a problem for countries on the coasts or for certain regions of the world. Climate change will impact every country on the planet. No nation is immune. So I am here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security. And make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. So we need to act and we need to act now.

After all, isn’t that the true hallmark of leadership? When you’re on deck, standing your watch, you stay vigilant, you plan for every contingency. If you see storm clouds gathering or dangerous shoals ahead you don’t just sit back and do nothing. You take action to protect your ship, to keep your crew safe. Anything less is negligence. It is a dereliction of duty. So to with climate change. Denying it or refusing to deal with it endangers our national security. It undermines the readiness of our forces.
So now according to President Obama, if you’re a young military leader who doesn’t agree with the religion of the liberal progressive socialists, you are negligent and derelict in your duties.

Next week, five senior members of the Taliban will be free to depart Qatar and return to Afghanistan — to the battlefield. That decision was made by Obama, that is dereliction of duty. ISIS has stormed and taken several major cities in Iraq. It is the reconstituted savage version 2.0 of the once defeated al-Qaida in Iraq. The decision to withdraw all U.S. forces from Iraq was made by Obama — that is negligence and dereliction of duty. What kind of person stands before these young future leaders who will be called upon to patrol and protect the coastal borders of the United States and issues such a blatant threat if they do no acquiesce to a political agenda?

The national debt of the United States was $10.67 trillion in January 2009. Today under the Obama reign it has exploded to $18.5 trillion. That is clearly negligence to the highest degree and truly threatening to the economic and national security of this nation. I hate to say this but it seems that President Barack Obama has a delusional perspective on national security threats — especially as we watch the proliferation of the global islamic jihadists threat. It was just the previous day where our cousins to the north captured ten young men attempting to deploy and fight for ISIS — that is a preeminent national security threat. http://www.albawaba.com/news/ten-sus...-canada-697276

So how it is that our young military leaders are supposed to fight the weather?

And is it possible that Obama will emplace political officers into military units seeking out those who are “climate change deniers?” We are already seeing the persecution of Christians in the military — the most recent being an Air Force Major General who gave a speech attributing the success of his career to God. Our good friend Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation strikes again.

As the Daily Mail reported, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ies-group.html

“An Air Force general who recently spoke about how God has guided his career should be court-martialed, a civil liberties group has claimed. Major General Craig Olson used a speech at the National Day of Prayer Task Force event on May 7, to credit God for his accomplishments in the military, referring to himself as a ‘redeemed believer in Christ.’ The address prompted the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) to launch a vitriolic attack of Maj Gen Olson, calling for the two-star general to be court-martialed and ‘aggressively and very visibly brought to justice for his unforgivable crimes and transgressions.”
President Obama is demanding that military leaders submit to his religion — or be considered negligent and derelict in their duties. And when a military leader speaks of his faith and belief, the call goes out for his punishment for “unforgivable crimes and transgressions.”

This is the world of the militant progressive socialist and secular humanists and atheists. I truly find little that separates this rhetoric from the Islamo-fascists who use fear, intimidation, and coercion to force submission to their political-theocratic ideology. But to have this abhorrent vile behavior aimed towards our valiant warriors and military is disconcerting to say the least. I can truly state that I know God directed every part of my military career and it was into His hands I placed my life each time I deployed into combat or even when I conducted my countless airborne training operations. Now it seems that some, like Weinstein, believe that to be a crime, a transgression.

I pray for the day when our men and women in uniform, those young leaders graduating from our service academies can actually have a Commander-in-Chief who will give an inspiring message of leadership from personal experience of having served. I pray that our young men and women can have a leader who will not be a afraid to give honor and Glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray for a leader who will impart the words of the Prophet Isaiah 54:17 (NIV), “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me.”

Fear God and dread not young warriors, and do not succumb to the politicized threats from the progressive socialists and the militant secular humanists — the liberal leftists. Remember, your oath is to support and defend the Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic — and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same.

Now that ISIS controls one half of Syria and most of Iraq and growing. How long do you think before they consume the US? This is very alarming and seems our admin is so lax about what is going on. ISIS is a very fast growing and lethal cancer. I would bet that Hilliary will get re-elected (because of the brain dead liberals) and that would be the end of us - ISIS here they come.

A convoy of that size moving under a panoply of black flags would have a life expectancy of minutes if our Air Force was allowed to do it's job. I saw the video on TV and couldn't believe what I was seeing. This idiot Administration was complaining about TV news stations using old B-Roll of ISIS on the march.
“One Toyota speeding down the road by itself at night with its headlights off,” would be a more accurate image, said Pentagon spokesman Col. Steven Warren on ISIS. Bagdad Bob couldn't do better himself.

Nets Ignore as Obama Blames Rise of Terrorism on Climate Change
    By Scott Whitlock | May 21, 2015 | 11:52 AM EDT

All three networks on Thursday again skipped Barack Obama lecturing the Coast Guard Academy that ignoring the "serious threat" of climate change is a "dereliction of duty." http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...uard/27628313/ The President somehow blamed the rise of Boko Haram on global warming. http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...-war-in-syria/ He did this on the same week that the terrorist group ISIS claimed the city of Ramadi. By ignoring this controversial address, ABC, NBC and CBS thus rendered it uncontroversial.

Good Morning America, Today and CBS This Morning have a combined eight hours of air-time. What important topics did they cover instead? Today offered four minutes and 17 seconds on how to redesign your living room. GMA devoted two minutes to The Bachelorette and CBS This Morning recapped David Letterman's last appearance on Late Night for four minutes and 37 seconds.

Addressing the Coast Guard Academy's graduation, Obama insisted, "Climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security." He lectured the men and women in front of him:

BARACK OBAMA: Understand, climate change did not cause the conflicts we see around the world, yet what we also know is that severe drought helped to create the instability in Nigeria that was exploited by the terrorist group Boko Haram.

    ...

OBAMA: It’s now believed that drought, crop failures, and high food prices helped fuel the early unrest in Syria, which descended into civil war in the heart of the Middle East.
On his nationally syndicated radio show, Wednesday, a disgusted Mark Levin responded, "Climate change enabled Boko Haram to exploit the situation? Notice he doesn't talk about the Islamo-Nazis themselves. Notice he doesn't talk about Sharia law. Notice he doesn't get into the real cause of the problem."

    Levin continued:

MARK LEVIN: Severe drought? There's been severe drought since before the beginning of man. Is this the dumbest mythology? And it's being spouted by the President of the United States. Severe drought, you see, is caused by climate change. Floods are caused by climate change.
On Wednesday, the networks also avoided Obama's controversial speech. Get a load of how HYPOCRITICAL Obama’s trip to Florida is..

Ah, President Obama, I have to admit it: sometimes I really do appreciate you. Those times when your hypocrisy goes so far as to stand on its own as satire and provide a much-needed chuckle in the midst of so much angst.

    As the Washington Examiner reports:

President Obama’s decision to take his Earth Day speech attacking climate change “deniers” to Florida, home of two GOP presidential candidates, cost taxpayers $866,615.40 just for the flight of Air Force One.

Taxpayer watchdog Judicial Watch revealed Wednesday that the Air Force provided documents showing the flight expenses of flying the jumbo jet 4.2 hours to Miami. He was then helicoptered 20 minutes to the Florida Everglades for his speech.

Other costs, such as security, communications and staff were not provided, but would put the speech price at way over $1 million.
Yeah, you might mistakenly assume you were just reading an excerpt from The Onion poking fun at the exorbitant fuel costs our dear president incurred flying his private jet in the name of Earth Day.

    But wait, there’s more.

According to the New York Times, aides hoped the setting would put pressure on Bush and Rubio. The paper’s reporters wrote,
“White House officials believe that using the muggy backdrop of the Everglades to demand action will help put pressure on Mr. Bush, who is likely to run for president, and Mr. Rubio, who has declared his candidacy, to address the issue.”
Judicial Watch told Secrets that the exact costs provided by the Air Force put the flight hour expenses at $206,377 per hour to operate.

“The irony of using Air Force One for an unnecessary jaunt to discuss global warming aside, these documents show that taxpayers are being gouged for President Obama’s abuse of the perks of office,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Taxpayers should not be forced to foot the bill for his continual savaging of political opponents,” he added.
Yep, that’s our president — never missing an opportunity to use our taxpayer dollars to further his own political agenda.

While most of the time Obama makes me want to cry, sometimes I just gotta laugh.
