See that is what i mean. It seems like its not even spreading the money out statewide first off. Plus it really isn't solving any problems. Think about it. You just know they money will get (by a few) mispent,misused etc. Plus these are mainly all state, county or city jobs. Also what happens whens the money is gone and the projects are done. Back to layoffs? Or another stimulus?
They are not fixing anything with this. Its not helping factories, stores (big and small) restaraunts etc. who are laying off or shuting down because they can't afford to stay open. And Is paying you an extra $13 in your check gonna make you run out and buy something you can't afford now?

Yes, it will help business, they need to buy the supplies for these projects somewhere. Also the people they don't have to lay off and the new ones they hire will be spending more money in those business also.

This stimulus package reminds me sooo much of the episode of Married with Children where Peg was selling Avonlike products. She was making all kinds of money. At the end of the show, you find out she's been buying them from herself. It is funny when she was that stupid in a TV show,

not so much when our gov is that stupid in reality

OMG!!!! I am so embarrassed for my state.
This stimulus is a JOKE. We had 9 pages of crap. A water upgrade for a golf course? And the country club WTF?
I am so sick to my stomach right now. Thank God I don't have to work tomorrow LOL. The next person that asks me when they are getting the next stimulus is not going to be a happy customer. :getyou

My state has specific addresses requested. No info, just an address. What the heck is that???

Oklahoma will be getting $1,746,435,951. They will split it up between 6 cities. Now to our credit they seem to be using it wisely however I would have liked to see it split up between more cities.

Wow! My son's school is being replaced! wonder when they were gonna tell US??

I agree---all just a temporary fix, then what. Where is the jobs that will stay around for a long time? Build a nature trail? How does that help the economy? Just puts some people to work for a little while---and those kind of jobs do not attract long term people who want to stay in the community for a long time.

Invest in small business., give small loans for factories & call centers, so the have incentive to move back to the US.
There are ways to solve this problem., but all the GOVERNMENT PIECES OF CRAP from BOTH PARTIES, only wants whats good for them & what they think will get them more votes.

I couldn't agree more!! The only thing is this time Rep. did NOT want this one passed. Democrats are just running rapid at thowing money around for a quick fix.
I would like to see them figure out how to help save factories (big and small), little business, shops, stores etc. You can't just produce goverment jobs.
Like so many of us had stated if they would have gave tax payers a portion (each) we could have used the money we got to get the economy moving again by buying cars, paying cc's, paying mortages, shopping for products at all kinds of stores, going out to eat etc. And In return the states would see more sales tax etc from all of those things to help in the repairs etc. Its a circle effect.
