Not sure how much you guys you've been following this:

Charlie Rangel, D-NY, head of House Ways & Means committee, which writes the tax laws for this country, "forgot" to pay taxes on his rental property in the Dominic Republic claiming "The 78-year-old Rangel maintained that over the course of two decades, he simply did not know the details of his mortgage on the beach property, how much rent he received from it or that the rent should have been reported." You & I should try that with the IRS.

Then, in the Senate you have Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), who got a 10,000 sft addition to his house for $2,000 (OK, I'm making some of that up). What really happened was he got $250,000 in construction from an oil contractor working on his house for a very reduced price. First of, what's an oil contractor doing home construction for? I smell BS.

Then, more locally, you have Vince Fumo, (D-Philly, state senate)

"Vince Fumo was very smart and very ruthless," Maranto said. For example, Maranto noted the indictment alleges Fumo for years kept a private detective on the Senate payroll to investigate girlfriends, his ex-wife and political opponents. "You knew if you ran afoul of him, you would have trouble getting things for your district."

Here's just what he did for one friend:

Citizens' Alliance employees spent two weeks installing hardwood floors at a property owned by DiCicco and his son.

A contractor paid by the state Senate videotaped a man distributing anti-DiCicco flyers at City Hall.

Citizens' Alliance paid for polls to measure support for DiCicco and candidates challenging Fumo rivals in three other districts.

Why do we continue to re-elect these people? They show total and utter disregard for the law or the citizens of this country and state, and they just don't care!

Everything above this sentence was written by a friend of mine, everything below are some of my thoughts on the whole political party that we are forced to endure these days.

If there is one thing that this crisis brings to this nation, I hope it will be a civil war so we, the people, can take back our nation & rid ourselves from all these losers like I used in the examples above.
