Multiplying scandals to hide the one scandal that could sink Obama
    June 16, 2013

(Info Wars) – Realize, first of all, that the normal attention span of elite media is about three days. If you can jam your version of data down their throats for that length of time, you’re golden.

Then you’re facing another three days. You start all over again.

"You" being the White House PR flack machine. The overall effect you’re looking for is: here today, gone tomorrow (or in three days). Nothing sticks. Therefore, the public, or that part of it that can still think and reflect at all, is yanked from one fragmentary story to another. Sooner or later, surrender comes.

“Do me. Give me your stories. I’ll buy them. Then I’ll forget them. Then I’ll buy the new ones.”

In this climate, there is no process that can be called reasoning. It doesn’t exist. It’s all about "What’s New".

Fast&Furious? Old hat. Benghazi? He said-he said. Who cares? The Feds spying on AP reporters? A yawner.

No traction. That’s the goal of every modern White House press corps.

Of course, along come stories that can’t be slid out of the pan and tossed in the garbage. A war. A mass shooting in a school or a theater.

In that case, the White House quickly develops a message. The theme. The takeaway.

“What’s our agenda here? What do we want to leave people with?”

“Mental health. This Lanza kid was a nutjob. Therefore, America needs a better mental health system. The president will announce a new program to install community mental-health centers across the land.”

“And guns. The kid had access to his mother’s guns. Feeds into taking all the guns away. From everybody.”

White House PR flacks spread these messages to the press and enlist the help of Congresspeople to make supporting statements.

They invent reality for the masses.

Once in a while, a truly ugly scandal rears its head. If it isn’t cut off at the pass, it could damage the White House and take the president into a place he doesn’t want to inhabit. Benghazi, for example.

“Obama stood by and did nothing while Americans were murdered.” That story line has to be stopped.

So he-said he-said gets a heavy workout. Accusations and denials. The pile of nonsense that goes nowhere.

Then there is the suggestion of blame that should go elsewhere. The State Department. The CIA. Put them front and center and deflect responsibility away from the president. Try a presidential “I didn’t know what was going on.”

If all that doesn’t work, it’s a crisis. It might be time to introduce (leak) new scandals. A few of them. A traffic jam.

If this seems improbable and shocking, take a breath and consider that it’s in the age-old war playbook. Sacrifice a battle to win the war.

“We lose here to win there.”

Politicians who gain significant power don’t think like “good people.” They aren’t operating as the PR-fed media tells you they’re operating. They think like Sun Tzu and von Clausewitz.

“Pretend inferiority.” “All war is based on deception.” “When we are able to attack, we must seem unable.” “War is such a dangerous business that mistakes that come from kindness are the very worst.”

Presidents are at war. They’re at war from the moment they step into power. If they’re not, the people behind the curtain, who put the president into office, take up the slack and protect them.

Benghazi could torpedo Obama? Could take him down? The scandal is widening? It’s getting harder to contain? It’s rising to a roar?

Okay. Do the one thing that will appear to be completely counter-intuitive. Leak new scandals. Let a few dupes take the fall. Who cares?

Obscure Benghazi with new shocks. The AP scandal. The IRS scandal. The NSA-Snowden scandal. In each of those, Obama himself can survive. The damage he incurs is far less than what would happen if the Benghazi op explodes.

Aside from Americans being murdered at Benghazi, which is the emotional spark that could ignite the public, there is the matter of the White House and the Pentagon and the CIA arming the very terrorists who killed Christopher Stevens and the Seals. Arming them to make them into “heroic rebels” fighting against the Assad government in Syria.

Rahm Emanuel says, “Never let a crisis go to waste.” The spin off of that is: Expose new crises if you need them.

The media are ready, willing, and able to publicize the new crises. They live for them. Big stories. Commands don’t have to come down from the penthouse to editors and reporters. It’s an easy slam-dunk. Leak a new scandal, and the wolves of the press come to feed.

As you sit here reading this, do you know or remember exactly who first leaked the IRS and AP scandals to the press? And if you’re in the vast minority of people who think they remember, are you correct? Do you really know how the initial leak occurred and who it came from?

In the Snowden/NSA case, we presume it was Snowden himself who did the leaking, because, as an independent voice, he wanted to. He chose the moment to tell The Guardian and the Washington Post to move ahead and blow the whistle.

But, as I’ve argued in prior articles, it’s far more likely Snowden is an agent of forces who want to blast a hole in the NSA for their own un-altruistic reasons. Therefore, the timing of the NSA scandal, as a media story, would have been a choice Snowden’s handlers made.

In the Watergate myth, two rookie reporters for the Washington Post, following up on the Watergate break-in, caught a break. Woodward did. He “knew a guy.” The guy was standing in the shadows of a parking garage. He said, “This story is bigger than the break-in.” And Woodward and Bernstein were off and running.

Someone wanted that story to become a scandal, to take down Nixon. Deep Throat in the garage was fulfilling a higher purpose. I’ve written about this several times. Basically, David Rockefeller, who owned Nixon, was horrified that the president was laying tariffs on goods imported into the US.

It went directly against David’s prime Globalist strategy: “free trade.”

Rockefeller was the real leaker. He was the man who gave the green light to take down the crook, Nixon.

Take a president down. Protect a president. Either way, in times of crisis, the people in power do what’s necessary. They don’t care about Nice or Kind or Moral or Just. That’s fiction. That’s fairy tale.

The job of elite media is to believe and promote the idea that Nice and Kind and Moral and Just are the rule in political life, and scandal is the exception. That’s the myth for the kiddies.

The truth goes like this. “Okay, guys, we’re in the war room. We’ve got Benghazi. This is a bad one. Obama is exposed. His flank is unprotected. If we let this scandal play out, it’s going to drown the president. We can time a few new scandals so people will forget about Benghazi. Let’s bring them into play, one after the other. Hit them hard. Obama will weather the storm. Memory is short…”

Here’s what the National Journal reported on June 13:

“Obama’s job-approval ratings in the Gallup Poll have averaged between 47 percent and 51 percent each week since mid-February. This past week, June 3-9, his approval rating was 48 percent and his disapproval rating was 45 percent. All of the other major polls except for Fox News’s show essentially no change in his standing from a couple of months ago, before renewed attention to Benghazi, the Internal Revenue Service revelations, the Associated Press phone-records flap, and the recent leaks about the National Security Agency’s electronic-surveillance system.”

The president is, in fact, surviving the recent scandals. At least, that’s how the press and the pollsters are presenting it.

    The op is working.

Is Obama taking hits? Of course. Has his credibility diminished? Yes. Will the recent scandals affect his ability to “get things done” in his second term? Yes.

But so far, the larger threat, Benghazi, has been deflected.

And the weakening of the dollar, the increasing of government debt, the economic devastation of the country, the true unemployment rate, the continuing war in Afghanistan, the stepping up of the Surveillance State, the militarization of police forces, the corporatizing of agriculture…and all the other crucial indicators of the decline of America as a modern Roman Empire are on track.

    On track to what?

    A Globalist planet.

A kingdom of controlled Earth, where all nations, including America, are brought down to a level of power that can managed from above.

Obama, like all recent Globalist presidents, is doing his assigned job. His number-one job. He’s winning the war as he sees it and as his controllers see it.

How Liberal Bias Shapes the MSM - and Our Views

I think this is probably one of the most disturbing things I have read in awhile. I knew the press protected Obama.. believed his every word.. but this level of 'worship' gets into the dangerous 'red alert' category. http://neoneocon.com/2013/06/22/mich...and-the-swoon/

Michael Hastings, Obama, and the swoon

Journalist Michael Hastings, 33, died last Tuesday in a fiery LA automobile crash that has the internet buzzing with theories about governmental murder plots.

I know people just love, love, love conspiracy theories, but this one seems fairly weak. There were witnesses, and Hastings’ car was going close to 100 miles an hour in a suburban zone at 4 AM. He was also a habitual abuser of alcohol, which figures in some of his writing. Contrary to the idea that conflagrations such as the one that engulfed his car, and powertrain ejections such as occurred right before the fire, could never happen to a well-built Mercedes that hits a tree broadside at 100 mph (as Hastings’ car appears to have done), they can and they do, although it’s not common (see many of the comments here if you don’t take my word for it). There are also much easier ways to kill someone and hide it if the government wanted to do so, and more pressing targets than Hastings as well.

Although I’ve criticized Hastings’s writing in the past http://neoneocon.com/?s=mcchrystal that’s not really what this post is about. I extend deep sympathy to his family and consider his death tragic at such a young age. I’m writing this post, though, not to talk about his death, but because I am fascinated by something I came across that I’d missed earlier, which appeared in a book he wrote about the 2012 Obama campaign.

The book might even be an interesting one; I don’t know, because I haven’t read it. It’s called Panic 2012: The Sublime and Terrifying Inside Story of Obama’s Final Campaign, and you can read more about it here, including the quote that grabbed my attention: http://www.amazon.com/Panic-2012-Ter.../dp/B00AR48WB8

One of those off-the-record moments [with the press during the 2012 campaign] was an event where President Obama joined reporters for drinks while the campaign was in Orlando, Fla., an event that Hastings partially details in the book.

“The behavior of the assembled press corps was telling. Everyone, myself included, swooned. Swooned! Head over heels. One or two might have even lost their minds,” Hastings writes, as each reporter had a chance to speak personally with the president. “We were all, on some level, deeply obsessed with Obama, crushing hard, still a little love there. This was nerd heaven, a politico’s paradise, the subject himself moving among us — shaking our hands, slapping our shoulders!”
It’s not as though we didn’t already know about this sort of thing. After all, haven’t we joked for years about “tingles” Chris Matthews of MSNBC and “pants crease” David Brooks of the NY Times? But there’s something about the above quote that still sent a shiver of horror down my spine: the blatant, bizarre, hyper-emotionality and near-eroticism (Hastings, by the way, was not gay) of the attraction.

I can think of no equivalent in modern politics in America. I certainly can in other countries, but would risk invoking Godwin’s Law if I did. The best example in this country I can think of would be JFK, and even then, although the press liked and respected Kennedy (and even loved him, in a sense), the emotion seemed to be more about Kennedy’s wit and humor than anything else.

I simply cannot imagine what it is about Obama that gets people going this way (and yes, I understand there’s a racial element of attraction to a cool black guy, but that doesn’t really explain the depth and weirdness of it, IMHO), except to say that it’s clearly something non-verbal. I believe it has been operating with Obama for virtually his entire life and has worked to his very great advantage. Quite a few people have always reacted to him as though his mere presence were almost supernaturally attractive, as if he exuded a kind of force field that made them—as Hastings so well put it—practically swoon.

It’s a dangerous phenomenon. I believe that Obama understands it and cultivates it, too. And no, I don’t think it’s actually hypnosis, although it works in some powerfully suggestive manner. It also takes advantage of the fact that so many journalists today are very young writers (like Hastings) who have done almost nothing else for a living, and so they seem especially susceptible. In the mid-20th century, reporters for major publications used to be uniformly older and to have had more varied prior experience in life and the world—more hard-boiled and hard-nosed, and less susceptible to swooning hero worship, although they were hardly immune to respect and liking.

    More:

Hastings reveals that [one evening] the president spent “over an hour” with reporters who later stayed up late buzz[ing] over every detail of the evening.

“Did this inform our reporting, did seeing the man in the flesh, in a somewhat staged and casual setting, provide new, deep, and lasting insights?” asks a reflective Hastings in his book. “Yes, I would say, but again, I’m not at liberty to share.”

Later, Hastings detailed campaign journalists’ jealous protection over the details, as members quickly reminded him that the event was “off-the-record.”

Much to the ire of his fellow reporters, Hastings revealed that the event occurred – a month later.

Even though the event itself was off-the-record, Hastings argued, the press corps had a duty to report that the event occurred, adding that the behavior of his fellow reporters, wasn’t necessarily off the record either.

Naturally, Hastings was chastised by many of his campaign colleagues for revealing some of the precious details of the event.

“The fear was that the White House would collectively punish all of us by revoking the already limited access or, worse, Obama might never come down and hang out with us again,” Hastings writes.

Campaign spokesperson Jen Psaki, Hastings notes, was furious and angrily phoned his editor Ben Smith for publishing details of the event. In response, the Obama campaign banished him from the campaign plane for a week.
That’s the way this White House works on the press: engender hero worship bordering on the hysterical, and then use the threat of withdrawal of the chance to be in the loved one’s presence to compel compliance.

Sick. Dangerous. And it explains quite a bit, doesn’t it?

[NOTE: It reminds me of the title of Bernard Goldberg's 2009 book A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (And Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media. I haven't read the book so I don't know the content, but from the description at Amazon Goldberg appears to be describing the media's liberal/left bias that caused reporters to lean so heavily in Obama's direction in 2008, fail to report on his many flaws and his sordid history, and therefore enable his election.

But while this is all true, and important, I'm talking about something else---something more emotional and deep, something that interacted synergistically with the liberal biases Goldberg describes and accentuated them immensely. We are all reaping what was sowed.]

    comments

A fascinating post. It turned my stomach a little. What’s even more disturbing than the advent of this cipher Obama is the Obama-shaped hole that stood ready to receive a figure like him.

I’ve always been struck by the way that Obama-mania originated in the media and continues to be most intense there. He isn’t as charismatic to the public at large, I think, as he is to them, and since the public’s perception of him is filtered through them, he has remained safe despite all his neglect of office and abuse of power. But he isn’t loved by the public.

Another thing that got me thinking: there’s a lot of gossip about Obama being gay. I don’t have an opinion on this, but Neo points out the strong homoerotic element in the media’s response to him. It’s not so much that’s he’s gay as that he draws on the gay longings of straight men. I don’t see him being quite so magnetic to women in the media, but I’m not sure about this.

    ..

I highly recommend Bernard Goldberg’s books. Goldberg is an old-school member of the mainstream media — at least he *was*. He was — and still is, as far as I can discern — an old-school liberal. That means that while he will *respectfully* disagree with many of us neo denizens here, he and we do share some fundamental values. We could enjoy intelligent conversations, given the opportunity.

Goldberg has skewered the mainstreamers in at least two other books: “Biased” and “Arrogant” [I *think*; from memory here]. Again, very highly recommended.

    ..

I’ve never understood the appeal of the messiah, although it was easy to see that millions of others were fascinated with the image created by Obama himself and the MSM. During the 2008 campaign and the first 2 years he was in office I was reminded of the frenzy among young girls over the Fab 4. Mindless, tinged with eroticism, and delirious.

At least the Beatles made fun, even great pop music.

    ...

The behavior looks like a ‘daddy issues’ infatuation or, a related phenomenon, the zealousness of the converted.

I also wonder if the Obama worship is the flip side of the same phenomenon of the media’s exaggerated antipathy toward Bush. As much as they spun for Obama on issues that would have buried other politicians, the media spun against Bush on issues that were conventional.

Journalist Michael Hastings, 33, died last Tuesday in a fiery LA automobile crash that has the internet buzzing with theories about governmental murder plots.

Evidence Indicates Michael Hastings Was Assassinated

The revelation that Rolling Stone journalist Michael Hastings was working on a story about the CIA before his death and had contacted a Wikileaks lawyer about being under investigation by the FBI hours before his car exploded into flames has bolstered increasingly valid claims that the 33-year-old was assassinated.

Hastings died early Tuesday morning in Hollywood when his car allegedly hit a tree at high speed. The Los Angeles Coroner’s office has not yet been able to officially identify the body as Hastings because it is so badly burned.

Skeptics of the official narrative have highlighted eyewitness accounts which state that Hastings’ Mercedes “exploded”.

Images of the vehicle appear to show more damage to the rear, around the area of the fuel tank, than the front, leading to speculation that a car bomb which ignited the fuel could have been responsible for the incident.

“No matter how you slice this particular pie, a Mercedes is not just going to explode into flames without a little assistance,” writes freelance journalist Jim Stone. “Car fires in new cars happen for three main reasons — running the engine out of oil, or running the engine out of coolant, or after an absolutely huge car mangling accident, having the hot side of the battery short out against the frame before it reaches the fuse panel. And for all 3 of those normal reasons, which account for virtually all car fires in modern cars, the fire would have started in the engine compartment, progressed slowly, and scorched the hell out of the paint before ever reaching the gas tank. That clean paint is the be all tell all, Michael Hastings was murdered, and the rest is detail.”

Stone also questions why a white sheet has been draped over the vehicle in the image below.

The questions surrounding the precise nature of the “accident” that killed Hastings are given more weight by the fact that the journalist had made enemies within both the FBI and the CIA.

“Michael Hastings contacted WikiLeaks lawyer Jennifer Robinson just a few hours before he died, saying that the FBI was investigating him,” the official Wikileaks Twitter account announced yesterday.

Hastings “had the Central Intelligence Agency in his sights” and was set to release an article exposing the agency, according to L.A. Weekly.

The Obama administration and the Justice Department have openly claimed the authority to assassinate American citizens anywhere in the world if they are deemed a national security threat. A number of American citizens have already been killed as a result of this policy. Is it really that crazy to suggest that Michael Hastings was merely the latest victim of this doctrine?

The New York Daily News highlights the fact that Hastings had received multiple death threats before his demise.

Following his role in bringing down Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, Hastings was told by a McChrystal staffer, “We’ll hunt you down and kill you if we don’t like what you write.”

“Whenever I’d been reporting around groups of dudes whose job it was to kill people, one of them would usually mention that they were going to kill me,” said Hastings.

Hastings was renowned for being “only interested in writing stories someone didn’t want him to write — often his subjects,” according to Buzzflash editor Ben Smith, adding, “He knew that there are certain truths that nobody has an interest in speaking, ones that will make you both your subjects and their enemies uncomfortable. They’re stories that don’t get told because nobody in power has much of an interest in telling them.”

The fact that Hastings had made a plethora of enemies as a result of his hard-hitting investigative journalism has prompted a deluge of online comment speculating that the writer’s “car crash” was no accident.

“Hastings’ wreck might make sense on the freeway, but I doubt he’d be dumb enough to go 100 mph on Highland. He’s not some dumb college kid,” said one commenter on a local news site.

“A warning to other journalists to not dig too deep,” another Reddit user wrote. “Stick with the party line if you want a long, happy life.”

If this was an isolated incident then there wouldn’t be so many questions swirling about Hastings’ death. However, he’s certainly not the first individual to go up against the military-industrial complex and wind up in a coffin.

Other journalists who have proven to be a thorn in the side of the establishment have met the same fate, from Andrew Breitbart who was about to release damaging pre-election information about Barack Obama before he collapsed and died in strange circumstances, to Gary Webb, the Pullitzer prize-winning author who exposed the CIA’s involvement in the drug trade and subsequently committed “suicide” after apparently shooting himself in the head – twice.

More recently, Ibragim Todashev, friend of accused Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnev, was shot in the head six times by the FBI, who initially claimed Todashev was armed but later had to admit this was a lie. Speculation has raged that Todashev was assassinated because he had knowledge about the Boston bombings which the feds didn’t want to see the light of public scrutiny.

Despite his actions, the murder of Christopher Dorner, who was burned to death by LAPD officers while hiding inside a cabin, shows that authorities will not hesitate to resort to such methods.

It’s virtually inevitable that the true cause of Michael Hastings death will never be known and that the mainstream media will demonize anyone who questions the official narrative as a conspiracy theorist. Meanwhile, journalists and others who pose a threat to the military-industrial complex will continue to die in bizarre “accidents” that stink of foul play.

Two Christians Beheaded in New Jersey By Muslim Man: Media, Silent!
    Apr 6th, 2013 @ 10:19 pm
    by Steve Foley

While the national media covers the Oscar Pistorius murder case wall to wall, the gruesome murder and beheading of two Coptic Christians by a Muslim has been virtually blacked out.

This despite the fact that the story was broken by an ABC television local affiliate in Jersey City two weeks ago

MUSLIM ACCUSED OF BEHEADING 2 CHRISTIANS IN U.S.
Torture, persecution of faithful no longer reserved for Islamic nations

    by BOB UNRUH

Authorities in New Jersey allege a Muslim man beheaded two Coptic Christians, burying their bodies and heads and hands in separate graves near Philadelphia, bringing the horror of the persecution of Christians in Islamic nations to the United States.

According to New York’s WABC-TV, the Muslim was identified as Yusuf Ibrahim, 28. He was taken into custody after the bodies were found.

The report said investigators alleged Ibrahim killed the victims then severed their heads and hands, and buried the remains in the back yard of a home in Buena Vista, N.J. The report said the victims were from the Coptic Christian community in the area. One of the victims had come from Egypt not many years ago.

While the report said police did not indicate a motive, friends of the victims wondered if it was something to do with religion.

WABC reporter Jeff Pegues wrote: “To members of the close knit Coptic Orthodox church the pain is real.”

“It’s a shock, something like this doesn’t happen to people like that,” one resident told him.

The report said police described the suspect as “ruthless” and “calculating” and said he belongs behind bars.

Pamela Geller, who blogs about Islam at Atlas Shrugs, said it “appear have been a ritual killing, religious in nature.”

“The victims were Coptic Christians and the murderer was Muslim (and we are painfully aware of the status and treatment of Coptic Christians under Muslim rule in Egypt),” she wrote.

“The killing evokes this passage in the Quran: ‘When thy Lord was revealing to the angels, ‘I am with you; so confirm the believers. I shall cast into the unbelievers’ hearts terror; so smite above the necks, and smite every finger of them!” – Quran 8:12.”

Samy Hohareb, a friend of the victims, said, “I leave it for the police and the investigation.”

The New York Daily News reported Ibrahim was nabbed by detectives on Sunday after the bodies were found.

Authorities said the suspect was found driving a white Mercedes Benz that belonged to one of the victims.

Ibrahim was being held at the Atlantic County jail on charges of murder and desecration of human remains.

WND reported in September a jihadi writer who has praised the murderer of a Dutch filmmaker suggested beheading as a way of curbing criticism of Islam. The report came from the Muhib Ru’yat al-Rahman, a senior writer of a leading jihadi forum called Shumoukh al-Islam, suggested that Muslims living in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the U.S. kill Westerners who criticize Islam and display their decapitated heads along roads, according to the Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor, a unit of the Middle East Media Research Center.

“While expressing respect for those calling to boycott European and American products over the release of the film ‘Innocence of Muslims,’ which negatively depicts Muhammad, Muhib insists that the best way to deter people from insulting Muhammad and his wives is to implement his proposal,” the report said.

The writer praised Dutch-Moroccan Muslim Muhammad Bouyeri, who killed Dutch film-maker Theo Van Gogh in 2004 over the production of “Submission,” a film criticizing Islam’s treatment of women. Dozens of forum members praised the post, expressing their agreement with the writer’s suggestions, the report said.

Geller summarized the report: “More tolerance and respect from savages demanding tolerance, respect and submission.”

SF : I say lets report on every soldier that has died in Iraq & Afghanistan since those 2 wars started. Repubs don't want to talk about that either do they now?

    ...

    DH : Yep!!!

LST : interesting that you bring up the subject of soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan; during the Bush Administration the MSM made it a nightly "Body Count" ... something that has stopped since BO stepped into the Oval Office although the actual Body Count has risen considerably due to the changes in the "Rules of Engagement" mandated by BO.

LST : These were not "single encounter events" -- both the Fort Hood attack and the Boston Bombing were high body count terrorist attacks on American Soil. So - yeah - I think they should get more coverage then a isolated - although tragic - incident between two people.
    continues ....

SF : Well the murder of a black teen coverage seems unimportant to most, yet all the pics of non news worthy murders above are white people.

That pisses a lot of conservatives off.

I don't remember much coverage on very many terrorists trials under Bush bc he captured only Saddam & hung him.

LST : Saddam was tried by the Iraqi Special Tribunal and hung in Iraq by the Iraqi's. The ad nauseum coverage by the MSM of the Zimmerman Trial was deemed "racist" by people like Sharpton and Jackson and the rest of the race baiters. I wish the beating and murder of my friend Tyler had gotten on tenth the coverage ... but it was a black teen killed by other black teens. So that did fit the narrative they wanted to hear. Interesting - we didn't have many terrorist attacks on American Soil after 9/11/01 ... until after BO was in office. I think the mass killing of innocent people merits more coverage.... sorry that you can't see that. When the Boston Bombers set their bombs - they didn't check the "ethnicity" of the crowd - they just wanted to kill as many AMERICANS as they could. I also think you need to look a little closer at the victims of the Fort Hood shooter....

Something the MSM won't cover ...

The son of a member of George H.W. Bush's security detail was diagnosed with Leukemia.

To show support, Bush and his entire security detail shaved their heads in solidarity http://bit.ly/18DpEBC

“Our little guy received some high-powered support this week when President George Bush 41 volunteered to shave his head to show his support for Patrick and Patrick’s Pals,” read a statement on the Patrick’s Pals website. “Members of his Secret Service detail have also been shaving their heads this week in solidarity.”

    Media reports: Rolling Stones & Rihanna boycotting Florida;
Rolling Stones & Rihanna: We are?

    By Doug Powers • July 24, 2013 11:08 AM

Did you know that the Rolling Stones, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake were joining Stevie Wonder in boycotting Florida over the state’s “stand your ground” law? Neither did they: http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefi...ott-of-florida

The American Urban Radio Network’s April Ryan reported Monday that a source close to Wonder told her that top artists, including Usher, Timberlake, Jay Z and Kanye West, were joining the legendary singer-songwriter in boycotting the state following the George Zimmerman verdict.

Other acts reportedly boycotting the state included the Rolling Stones, Rihanna, and Madonna.
    [...]
Mother Jones reached out to representatives for some of the artists, who reported that they were unaware of the reported boycott movement.

A source with knowledge of the situation told the magazine that Rihanna was not joining the reported boycott, and a spokesperson for the Rolling Stones said “nobody’s heard anything about this.”

And organizers of an Aug. 16 concert in Miami say that Jay Z and Justin Timberlake both still plan to perform, according to a television station there.
As long as Florida’s money spends the same as it does everywhere else, we’re unlikely to see this boycott spread too far in the entertainment community.

It's now beyond controversy that for too many black folks in America, being black means never having to say "I'm guilty." We live in a Lewis Carroll fantasy-world where multi-multi-multi-millionaire black folks, who make a TON OF MONEY off of white fans, btw, run around complaining about "the system" and systemic racism against black people that keeps us "down." They glorify thug behavior and then act shocked when people take it seriously. It is insanity. Enough is ENOUGH.

This is not what MLK et al were marching for. Somewhere along the line the "Civil Rights" movement turned sick and pathological. I completely disassociate myself from the likes of Sharpton and Jackson. They don't represent me or my family in even the remotest sense. The only thing I share with them is skin color and (barely) citizenship. I'm through.

    ...

You;ve said well, LtCol. Some of the conservative people I hang with (who just happen to be black) have said exactly what you just did. I remember one expression I never forgot. "...these race hustlers stood with MLK, but they never heard or understood a word he said."

    ..

And we should care what they are boycotting? They can knock themselves out. FL might enjoy not having the air head entourage in the state. Celebs all have quite the inflated sense of self.

And as long as Florida has some of the better tax policies - they'll all have homes there.
