We’re so sad to see Marie Harf go! Between bouts of pulling our hair out at the hare-brained foreign policy of the Obama administration, she provided much-needed entertainment. Late yesterday there was an announcement that Harf would be a moving on to a “new role” as senior adviser for strategic communications to Secretary of State John Kerry – in other words shuffled off the main stage to some back room where she and her trendy blue nail polish are kept away from the microphones.

June 3, 2014: In response to questioning by Fox News at the briefing, Harf downplayed criticism of the recently
announced trade of five Taliban fighters for Bergdahl.

She downplayed “conflicting reports” and “rumor” when asked about accounts from Bergdahl’s platoon-mates that he walked off base.

“There’s a lot of rumor and telephone game that’s being played here,” she said.

After continued questioning, she said: “It happened five years ago.”

Bergdahl would later be charged with desertion.

Sept. 25, 2014: Harf was asked, in an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, to respond to a warning that the U.S. would lose if President Obama did not approve ground troops to fight the Islamic State in Iraq.

“I’m not exactly sure what ‘lose’ means,” Harf said, arguing the solution is “targeted military action.” She said the prior U.S. engagement in Iraq, with tens of thousands of U.S. troops on the ground, couldn’t prevent terrorism.

Feb. 16, 2015: Speaking on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Harf suggested that jobs programs are needed to help take on the Islamic State.

“We’re killing a lot of them, and we’re going to keep killing more of them. … But we cannot win this war by killing them,” she said. “We need … to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs, whether –”

Harf was interrupted by host Chris Matthews, who pointed out, “There’s always going to be poor people. There’s always going to be poor Muslims.” She acknowledged there’s “no easy solution” and said the U.S. would still take out ISIS leaders. But Harf said: “If we can help countries work at the root causes of this — what makes these 17-year-old kids pick up an AK-47 instead of trying to start a business?”

Feb. 17, 2015: Responding to critics of her remarks on helping fight terror by creating jobs, Harf said her statements were just “too nuanced” for her critics.

“Longer term, we cannot kill every terrorist around the world, nor should we try,” Harf said on CNN. “How do you get at the root causes of this? Look, it might be too nuanced an argument for some, like I’ve seen over the past 24 hours some of the commentary out there, but it’s really the smart way that Democrats, Republicans, military commanders, our partners in the Arab world think we need to combat this.” Harf went on to say the approach doesn’t fit “into a sound bite.”

March 6, 2015: Fielding questions at the briefing about ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of private email, Harf was asked if the department would release a 2011 cable — obtained by Fox News — showing her office told employees not to use personal email for security reasons.

“I think everyone can read it at FoxNews.com,” she quipped.

She then assured, “That was in no way an endorsement,” before adding: “I don’t mean to be flip about it.”

I am stunned, though I shouldn't be. Dems convene committees to POLITICALLY investigate & destroy repubs for made up allegations, like the supposed trip of Bush 41 to Iran to "delay" the release of the hostages in order to benefit Reagan, or the lie that Clarence Thomas harassed the lunatic groupie Anita Hill, who followed her alleged abuser from job to job.

The left was literally cheering with glee, blaming conservatives before the bodies were even cold, as they thought they had a new reason to vilify anyone opposing Planned Butcherhood, after a 57-year-old madman, Robert Lewis Dear, was arrested following the murder of three people, including a police officer (a pro-life co-pastor at a local church). Nine more were injured, including multiple police officers, according to various news reports. The other, perhaps even more powerful and inconvenient truth for the left is the fact that none of the people killed or injured were Planned Parenthood workers or patients, a strong indication that the abortion factory was not the target of the murderer.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to concur that if Planned Parenthood was the target of Dear, and since he had locked himself up inside of a Planned Parenthood facility, he would have been shooting at the employees and/or customers, instead of, or in addition to, the police. “We don’t have any information on this individual’s mentality, or his ideas or ideology,” Colorado Springs police Lt. Catherine Buckley said, according to the Associated Press. Moreover, Robert Lewis Dear is mysteriously listed as an “unaffiliated female” on his voter registration records, indicating either an error by the State of Colorado or a confusion with Dear’s sexuality. It’s also difficult for anti-life Democrats to blame the shooting on Republicans since Robert Lewis Dear wasn’t one.

Shamefully, while the five-hour standoff was occurring, the greedy vultures at Planned Parenthood were already using the tragedy to raise money, even though they pick-pocket American taxpayers to the tune of over $500 million per year. Over the past few months, several undercover investigative videos by the Center for Medical Progress have exposed Planned Parenthood for illegally trafficking baby body parts from the babies they murdered, and nonchalantly negotiating prices in order to maximize their profit. The Washington Post, hardly conservative, reported that Dear was a recluse who had a long history of problems with the law dating back to 1997 including arrests for cruelty to animals and for being a “peeping Tom.” He was not convicted in either case, The Post reported, while revealing that Colleton County police released reports of at least seven other episodes with Dear.

Heck, I’m starting to believe there’s absolutely nothing which is beneath President Barack Obama and his administration. And if there was a single reason to preclude any other liberal progressive socialist from occupying the White House it’s not necessary. Just knowing that this current Democrat Party of Obama and the complicit media enables such abhorrent behavior is reason enough.

We now know the National Security Agency under Barack Obama has no parameters. We are all indeed candidates for surveillance as potential enemies of the Obama State. This, ladies and gents, is right up there with the former East German agency known as the Stasi.

“A House panel on Wednesday announced it is seeking information from the Obama administration on U.S. intelligence collection that may have swept up members of Congress.

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence’s announcement comes after a Wall Street Journal report that the U.S. collected information on private exchanges between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of Congress during ongoing negotiations for a nuclear deal with Iran.

“The House Intelligence Committee is looking into allegations in the Wall Street Journal regarding possible Intelligence Community (IC) collection of communications between Israeli government officials and members of Congress,” Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said in a statement.

“The Committee has requested additional information from the IC to determine which, if any, of these allegations are true, and whether the IC followed all applicable laws, rules, and procedures.”


According to the Journal, U.S. officials said Obama insisted that keeping an eye on Netanyahu served a “compelling national security purpose.” White House officials thought the information it uncovered could potentially be used to counter Netanyahu’s campaign against the nuclear accord but ultimately decided not to formally ask the National Security Agency to keep tabs on the Israeli premier’s maneuverings on Capitol Hill.

The White House also gave the NSA the authority to determine what it would and wouldn’t do with the information, U.S. officials said. “We didn’t say, ‘Do it,’” one senior U.S. official recalled in an interview with the Journal. “We didn’t say, ‘Don’t do it.’”

Now ain’t that just a daisy? The NSA is supposed to collect intelligence that ensures our national security.

And for the Obama administration to view any opposition to his Iranian nuclear deal as a “compelling national security purpose” should send a chill down your back. This demagogue used the NSA for a blatant political purpose. What does it take America? President Richard Nixon stepped down over a breaking and entering fiasco centered on politics. You tell me that this nefarious belligerence should go unpunished and I will tell you you are nothing more than a kool-aid drinking partisan.

Just ask yourself if this was a Republican president and the NSA had done such an action. The calls from the liberal progressive media would be screeching. This would be the number one news story and front page of the New York Times and elsewhere.

But what is the real story — and utterly disturbing — is that Barack Obama will do anything and everything to aid and abet, as well as provide material comfort and support to the number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism — the militant regime of Iran. How many Americans are being held by Iran? How many provocations has Iran committed since this agreement was given Obama’s blessing?

Let me remind you of the most recent. Our deployed aircraft carrier (CV) USS Harry Truman had a series of Iranian missiles fired just 1500 yards away from its position. Of course the Obama apologists will say our vessel was warned and the projectiles were fired away from the ship. They fail to get the point, Iran just sent a message: we are a power and will stand in defiance to America. Why isn’t the NSA spying on Iran and finding out exactly where our hostages are being held?

Furthermore, I find it unconscionable that under Obama and the liberal progressive leftists, any mention of surveillance of mosques and potential Islamists in our midst is met with anger and derision. So I suppose for the left, it’s just fine to use the NSA to spy ad conduct surveillance on Prime Minister Netanyahu and Members of the U.S. Congress as long as it is in keeping with the political agenda of one Barack Obama.

This is inexplicable and wrong on so many levels.

President Obama responded to the biggest Islamic terrorist attack since 9-11 by seeking to disarm the American people. Ask yourself as we close out 2015 and head into Obama’s last year — on whose side as these folks?

We will be told there’s nothing here, and since this is being revealed right before New Years, it will be lost in the seasonal activities.

Let me warn y’all, this cannot be forgotten or “blown off. It’s time someone subpoenaed Barack Obama to appear before a Congressional inquiry committee — unless you feel he is above the law.

Former Michigan Rep. Pete Hoekstra, who chaired the House intelligence panel from 2004 to 2007, called for a probe late Tuesday, remarking that the Obama administration had exhibited an “unprecedented abuse of power” if the allegations are true. “WSJ report that [National Security Agency] spied on Congress and Israel communications very disturbing. Actually outrageous,” he tweeted. “Maybe unprecedented abuse of power“NSA and Obama officials need to be investigated and prosecuted if any truth to WSJ reports,” he continued. “NSA loses all credibility. Scary.”

This isn’t scary, it’s deplorable, disgusting, and despicable. I for one do not care if this is Obama’s last year, it ain’t guaranteed to be so with this type of dictatorial maniacal behavior. This is highly disturbing to know we have a “president” who cherishes Iran more than America and its citizens.

He is Edward “Ed” Mezvinsky, born January 17, 1937.

Well, he is a former Democrat congressman who represented Iowa’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977. He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon. He was outspoken saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be impeached. He and the Clintons were friends and very politically intertwined for many years.

Ed Mezvinsky had an affair with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his wife divorced him. In 1993, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, then a freshman Democrat in Congress, cast the deciding vote that got President Bill Clinton’s controversial tax package through the House of Representatives.

In March 2001, Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams.
He was found guilty and sentenced to 80 months in federal prison.

After serving less than five years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008 and remains on federal probation.

To this day, he still owes $9.4 million in restitution to his victims.

Why did the mass murder of 19 disabled people in Japan barely rate?

A week ago today in Japan, 26 year old Satoshi Uematsu stabbed 19 people to death, and injured a further 26 in the quiet town of Sagamihara. The attack was on disabled people in a residential care home, where Uematsu previously worked.

After the slaughter, the Uematsu tweeted: "I hope for world peace. Beautiful Japan!!!!!!"

He then handed himself into the police. The Guardian reported he told police: "It is better that disabled people disappear."

Uematsu had written to the Japanese government in February this year, outlining his intent to kill. He was hospitalised involuntarily for two weeks, and released without charge. Part of his chilling letter read:

My reasoning is that I may be able to revitalise the world economy and I thought it may be possible to prevent World War III.

I envision a world where a person with multiple disabilities can be euthanised, with an agreement from the guardians, when it is difficult for the person to carry out household and social activities.

I believe there is still no answer about the way of life for individuals with multiple disabilities. The disabled can only create misery. I think now is the time to carry out a revolution and to make the inevitable but tough decision for the sake of all mankind. Let Japan take the first big step.

This massacre is Japan's biggest mass killing since World War II. Yet coming as it did amidst a series of ISIS-related terror attacks and unrest around the world, the media has been relatively quiet about this shocking attack. While I acknowledge the existence of compassion fatigue, I couldn't help noticing there was little social media solidarity - unlike for Paris, Nice, Orlando, Kabul, Baghdad. There was no hashtag. No public outcry. Not even prayers. When I posted about it on Facebook, people told me they hadn't heard about it.

In this age of algorithmic curation, it's no wonder this hasn't been popping up all over our newsfeed: barely anyone is talking about it. Very few people are talking about the targeted massacre of 19 disabled people.

Disability activist Sam Connor noticed, too. "In the wake of other mass murders and hate crimes, there were outpourings of public grief, rallying of communities, shows of solidarity. After Japan - perhaps the only mass hate crime where the killer had clearly signalled his intention to 'euthanise' hundreds of disabled people prior to the event - there was nothing," she said.

"Nobody is speculating whether views like those of Peter Singer, who advocates for infanticide against disabled babies and the killing of disabled people, have contributed to this tragedy and whether this is the inevitable conclusion of expressing views about disability genocide."

Connor also speculates on the way the victims have not been mentioned - perhaps because in Japan, disability is considered as shameful.

"It's almost worse that nobody is speaking about it. No names, no mass laying of flowers. It's disability erasure. Those victims, it is like they never existed", she said.

The idea that the lives of disabled people are worthless is not a new one. The media may be tempted to portray this attack as a random incident; something that, unlike the lone wolf inspired by ISIS, is not part of a broader ideology or pattern. Not something we need to worry about. But this is not true.

People with disability are at greater risk of violence than the general population, in Australia and internationally. Most of my friends with disabilities have been told we should kill ourselves at some point of my life. I've even been told this on a date. Others are told this by strangers.

Disabled people are scared. And we have every reason to be.

A 2015 Senate inquiry into violence against people with disabilities heard more than 70 per cent of women with disabilities are victims of violent sexual encounters, and a massive 90 per cent of women with an intellectual disability have been sexually abused, more than two-thirds of which before they turn 18.

In addition to this, people with disability are exposed to practices that qualify as torture or ill treatment, as well as multiple forms and varying degrees of 'deprivation of liberty', and are subjected to "unregulated or under-regulated restrictive interventions and practices, often imposed as a means of coercion, discipline, convenience, or retaliation by staff, family members or others providing support".

It's no coincidence that media coverage of the murders of disabled people is often sympathetic to the killer, particularly in domestic cases. The high profile 2014 murder-suicide by 44-year-old Lockhart man Geoff Hunt of his disabled wife and their three children is a case in point. The killer was described as "a well respected and much loved farmer" who had felt the strain of caring for his wife, who was painted as a burden with an acquired brain injury.

Bonnie Millen, Acting President of People with Disabilities Australia, also believes those who kill disabled people are given more sympathy than deserved.

"Mercy killings are well-known to be conducted at the hands of parents or carers of children and adults with severe disabilities, and one has to question what supports they had in place leading up to their decision to murder in the terms of 'mercy', 'compassionate euthanasia' or even 'compassionate homicide'.

The silence around the Sagamihara murders over the past week suggests to me people think these disabled lives are worth less. That their deaths are indeed a burden relieved from society. Or perhaps mainstream society is simply able to distance itself from the fear such an act evokes in those of us with disabilities.

Tragically, other Japanese people with disabilities are now living in fear since last week's massacre. It's been reported those in care facilities are scared they'll be killed too.

"When a mass murder conducted in a care home in Japan, a country known for its peaceful nature and world-class care of individuals, the subject is ignored rather than questioned," Millen says. "Yet murder has been splashed everywhere this year."

She continues: "Maybe it is too hard to look people with disabilities in the eye and recognise them as a person. That is horrible, sad and twisted."

It's time disabled people are valued while we are alive - so that people don't look away when we've been killed.
