Now HERE Is A Dumb Christmas Ad ...

Now HERE Is A Dumb Christmas Ad

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzBvQ9EeF3k

My God - Hillary's campaign is crazy! She injects, not just politics directly into Christmas, but herself. As freaking Santa Claus? If I wanted Santa for President, I'd move to the North Pole and vote. This is nuts.

I can't get over this. So, she's going to take your tax dollars and give them back to you,or, more likely, someone or something else, and that's giving???

Only if you have a huge government mindset. Maybe it's my Hillary bias, but this doesn't work for me at all. It ticks me off. How presumptuous. Clue Hillary - without the taxpayers, you don't have anything to give. Why should we feel grateful for getting some *back* from the goverment ? It's NOT yours, to give, or anything else.

What a sense of entitlement this woman brings to government.

This is how socialists think. She is promoting only social programs in this ad. They do not believe in God, and the government bestows rights onto people.

If you think this is nuts, Sweetness & Light has a post about Hillary Clinton's condom Christmas tree from the first time she was in the White House.

She sure knows how to mock a religious holiday:

Isn't it nice of her to wrap up our money and give it back to us? LOL I would rather keep it in my bank account so it will earn more interest and then I can give to the charities I want to receive it.

At 5:40 PM ET on the Situation Room, anchor Suzanne Malveaux asked congressional correspondent Jessica Yellin what she was seeing out on the Dem campaign trail in Iowa that the TV cameras might be missing.

    View video here. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-fi...celebrated-cnn

JESSICA YELLIN: [Iowa voters] really take this process as a legitimate experience and feel entitled to ask "how are you going to fix my life?"
Yellin said she found the approach "refreshing."

I'd say that asking Hillary Clinton -- or any politician for that matter -- to "fix my life" is foolhardy . . . and sad.

This is what many citizens have come to expect from government....what are you going to do for me???

Jeez, look at Hillary Clinton's Christmas ad...all the "presents" she's going to give the American people..uiversal pre-K, universal health care...oh, AND a tax break (that's if she doesn't do a "Bill" and whine that she worked on that harder than anything else in her life, but couldn't do it!). That's the name of the game...who's got the most goodies.

Years ago, Sir Keith Joseph, a British gentleman, commented that Britain was becoming a "pocket money society."

The money quote. from a speech by Liam Fox, MP:

First, the Labour Government was appropriating more and more of
people's take home pay. It was turning adults' earnings into little more than children's allowances.

Second, as well as leaving people with less and less of their own money, Labour was taking out of their hands the important decisions that affected them and their families. From the education of their children to saving for retirement, the big decisions increasingly became the function of a so-called benevolent state. Like pocket money, people's earnings were there to be spent on the trivialities of life; not the serious stuff.
    Sound familiar?

I wish I had access to the audio from the local radio ad for John Edwards. It features a guy who lost his job when a factory closed. The guy says we need Edwards in Washington to stand up for the little guy. Obviously business owes its workers jobs, and if they close a plant, the only conclusion you can draw is that they're screwing the little guy.

    I don't find that refreshing.

I find that manipulative and cruel. It gives people false hope.

It also means there are people who don't understand that it's up to them to take care of themselves. Unfortunately, people lose jobs. Sometimes it's unjust, but most of the time it's just life. No one in Washington can guarantee that it won't happen to you or me or anyone else.

You might think about it Adam---

What is universal pre-K? Will you need to put your kids into a government care center when you would rather not? That sounds more like communism to me where the state takes over the family completely.

    1. My children will be out of pre-k long before this is instituted.
    2. My wife would be considered a government employee with better benefits than we have now.
    3. Some families can benefit from pre-k....they just can't afford it.

There is a town that neighbors the town my wife works in that offers free pre-k for it's residence. It's paid for through the town tax dollars.

    Pretty bad...huh?

MOST of the time, kids who miss Pre-K will usually repeat Kindergarden because they're not socially ready.

I'm glad you said 'most' of the time, lol! My DD didn't go to pre-K, or kindergarten. She started in 1st grade and does just fine socially. But when I taught her at home, I did make sure she went to playgroups etc. and wasn't isolated from other children.

Then you have children like Micheal - who went to a pre-school and Headstart Pre-K and is still repeating Kindergarten due to his disabilities.

In my opinion, its best to keep them back while they're young anyways. Its easier to repeat such a young grade then when they're older.

Around here, the pre-school is for socializing more or less. Last year (Ds's second year in Kindergarden) there were 2 kids who hadnt been to pre-school previously and you could tell, they're both repeating kindergarden because they're not SOCIALLY advanced enough.

*(My DS started kindergarden, went to preschool for the second half of the year, then went back to kindergarden the following year and this year is in first grade)*
