Cheese that was in gift baskets is bein recalled!
An East Tennessee company is recalling cheese distributed nationwide in gift baskets that could be contaminated with dangerous bacteria.
Sweetwater Valley Farms says its Southern Cheddar Jack Volunteer Special Cheese was distributed in 7, 10, 15-ounce and 5-pound blocks sold in retail stores in Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland and Alabama.
The cheese from lot number 539 was distributed between September 19th and November 18th. It was also potentially distributed across the continental U.S. in gift baskets sold on the company's Website.
Another Tennessee-based wholesaler, Le Gourmet Connection of Lebanon, said it sold 10-ounce blocks of the cheese through Jungle Jim's International Market in Fairfield, Ohio, between August 28th and November 19th.
No illnesses have been reported.

Cincinnati shoppers should check their refrigerators following the recall of a cheese sold at Jungle Jim's International Market.
It is a jack cheese is from "Le Gourmet Connection," and was sold in the Fairfield store between Aug. 28, 2007 and Nov. 19, 2007.
The contaminated cheese is thought to contain the Listeria monocytongenes bacteria, which causes deadly infections in young children and the elderly.
If you have any of this cheese in your home, you are encouraged to throw it away or return it to Jungle Jims for a full refund.
