Stick that in your shorts mr Wash dc judge!!!!!!!

In Washington Monday, a man suing his dry cleaners over a pair of pants lost his case.

Roy Pearson, a Washington, D.C. judge, sued his dry cleaners after they lost his favorite pair of pants.

Signs in the cleaners’ window guaranteed satisfaction and Pearson wasn’t satisfied. Even when the Chungs, who own the Custom Cleaners, reportedly offered to settle for $12,000, Pearson said “no deal”.

Unable to resolve their differences, Pearson took them to court seeking an unbelievable $54 million.

Bill Schultz, who is with the American Trial Lawyer’s Association, says, “It’s outrageous and...

...shameful and it’s a waste of everyone’s time to pursue this.”

After a two day trial earlier this month, a judge ruled in favor of the Chung family on Monday, saying they had not violated the city’s consumer protection law when they failed to live up to Pearson’s expectations.

The Chungs’ attorney, Christopher Manning, said, “Today [Monday] is a credit to the Chungs for the character that they have in persevering through what was such an aggressive and such a completely unreasonable act taken by Mr. Pearson.”

The ruling judge said there was no reasonable person that would expect the promise ofguaranteed satisfaction to include satisfying a customer’s unreasonable demands.

Now, Pearson will have to pay court costs totaling over a thousand dollars and may even have to eventually repay the Chungs for the thousands of dollars they spent on attorney’s fees.

Pearson has 30 days to appeal Monday’s ruling. Even so, the Chungs say Mr. Pearson need not find another dry cleaner.

Soo Chung says, “If he wants to continue to use our services, then yes, we will accept him.”

Roy Pearson should have to pay all the Chungs fees.

Maybe the Chungs need to sue Pearson for defimation of character.

We allready know that Pearson has no character.

I saw this earlier today, its just a pair of pants,I have my favorites to,
I'd take the 12,000 for the pants if they lost them,he's a judge and he
thought cause he's so high and mighty the other judge would rule in
his favor,he got fooled. Its not like he don't make good money anyway.

he was ordered to pay the court fees but not the lawyer fees. The Chung family will file for the lawyer fees later this week. IMO...the judge probably ment all of thier fees but didnt specify because this whole damn case was stupid, I want to know where it is that they get off letting these kinds of lawsuits be brought to court. The mcdonalds hot coffee lady actually got money cuz she spilt HOT coffee on HERSELF....good grief

There have been many outrageous cases that people have won.

I recall a case where a burglar was injured while trying to break into a warehouse. He had climbed on top of the roof and ended up falling through a skylight that had been painted. The burglar claimed that if the owner had not painted the window, he would not have fallen through it. Even though this had occurred while committing a crime..... He won

There was a football game held at Yale University. When Yale won, the fans poured onto the field. A few of these fans attacked the goal post and while lifting it, one of these people got hit on the head and injured. Her father, a lawyer, sued the school and the New Haven police stating that they should have had enough personal to stop his daughter and the others from trying to remove the goal posts. What she and the others were doing was against the law....She won

No wonder people in the legal profession are not always highly regarded.

I don't know if this paper said or not, but The Chungs found his pants a week later and he refused to take them, he tried to say they weren't the same ones.
Don't drink and park, accidents cause people!
