Pharmaceutical Giant -Merck, Has Some Explaining To Do Over Its MMR Vaccination Claims

Merck is currently facing serious allegations in regards to the efficacy of its MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine. The claims are put forth by two former Merck scientists-turned-whistleblowers, Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski, who filed a False Claims Act complaint in 2010, along with a senior Centre for Disease Control (CDC) scientist by the name William Thompson.

The complaint put forward in 2010 by former Merck virologists, Krahling and Wlochowski, claim that they “witnessed firsthand the improper testing and data falsification in which Merck engaged to artificially inflate the vaccine’s efficacy findings.”

Further Claims Against Merck From Whistleblowers

According to the court documents Merck’s misconduct is occurring in many different ways including:
•Failed to disclose that its mumps vaccine was not as effective as Merck represented
•Used improper testing techniques
•Manipulated testing methodology
•Abandoned undesirable test results
•Falsified test data
•Failed to adequately investigate and report the diminished efficacy of its mumps vaccine
•Falsely verified that each manufacturing lot of mumps vaccine would be as effective as identified in the labeling
•Falsely certified the accuracy of applications filed with the FDA
•Falsely certified compliance with the terms of the (Centre for Disease Control) CDC purchase contract
•Engaged in fraud and concealment described herein for the purpose of illegally monopolizing the U.S. market for mumps vaccine
•Mislabeled, misbranded and falsely certified its mumps vaccine and
•Engaged with other acts described herein to conceal the diminished efficacy of the vaccine the government was purchasing.

The suit also alleges: “As the single largest purchaser of childhood vaccines (accounting for more than 50 percent of all vaccine purchasers), the United States is by far the largest financial victim of Merck’s fraud. But the ultimate victims here are the millions of children who every year are being injected with a mumps vaccine that is not providing them with an adequate level of protection against mumps. And while this is a disease the CDC targeted to eradicate by now, the failure in Merck’s vaccine has allowed this disease to linger with significant outbreaks continuing to occur.”

You can also view documents obtained by Lucija Tomljenovic, PhD, from the Neural Dynamics Research Group in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of British Columbia reveal that vaccine manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and health authorities have known about multiple dangers associated with vaccines but chose to withhold them from the public here.

Merck’s Dismissal Attempt Denied

U.S. District judge threw out Merck’s dismissal attempts earlier this month, which means that this pharmaceutical giant will have to defend itself in at least two Federal court cases.

The other Federal court case against Merck, Chatom Primary Care Vs. Merck Co. relies on the same evidence, which was brought forward by the aforementioned whistleblowers. This class action lawsuit is claiming damages because Merck intentionally and fraudulently monopolized the mumps market.

A third whistleblower to uncover information regarding the MMR vaccine is a senior CDC scientist named William Thompson. He wasn’t intending to call out Merck specifically, but more so himself and his colleagues who had participated in a 2004 study that involved the MMR vaccine. The allegations here are in regards to a data cover-up that points to high rates of autism in African-American boys after being vaccinated with the MMR vaccine.

Something To Consider

These whistleblowers gave up everything to share this information – their jobs, their credibility, and their reputation. What would they have to gain from falsifying any of this information? They were directly involved in this cover-up and decided to speak out and share the truth. I think it is very important that we pay attention to what they are trying to say.

When you really think about it, these are some pretty serious allegations put forth by former Merck and CDC employees, and this is some pretty big news. Why isn’t this information being reported in mainstream news? The media seems to hold a very one-sided view of vaccinations and they aren’t interested in reporting anything that may appear to delegitimize their efficacy.

Not only that, it’s clear that with actions such as this, one of the main focuses for these companies is profit. They will take profit over making an effective vaccine and that’s exactly what they have done here. So is it possible that they could also sway data and life about the true dangers of a vaccine just as they did with how effective it is?

Not About “Pro” or “Anti” Anything, It’s About Information

It is important that we look at both sides of the vaccine story. You do not need to be “pro” or “anti” anything, we should all be open to any and all information. Only when we have done our own diligent research can we actually make an informed decision on what is best for our families. It is not fair to call out parents on either side of the spectrum, but it is important to share information and to remember that everyone has a choice. Let’s focus more on the facts, and less on who is right and who is wrong.

Public Health Officials Know: Recently Vaccinated Individuals Spread Disease

Washington, D.C., March 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Physicians and public health officials know that recently vaccinated individuals can spread disease and that contact with the immunocompromised can be especially dangerous. For example, the Johns Hopkins Patient Guide warns the immunocompromised to "Avoid contact with children who are recently vaccinated," and to "Tell friends and family who are sick, or have recently had a live vaccine (such as chicken pox, measles, rubella, intranasal influenza, polio or smallpox) not to visit."1

A statement on the website of St. Jude's Hospital warns parents not to allow people to visit children undergoing cancer treatment if they have received oral polio or smallpox vaccines within four weeks, have received the nasal flu vaccine within one week, or have rashes after receiving the chickenpox vaccine or MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine.2

"The public health community is blaming unvaccinated children for the outbreak of measles at Disneyland, but the illnesses could just as easily have occurred due to contact with a recently vaccinated individual," says Sally Fallon Morell, president of the Weston A. Price Foundation. The Foundation promotes a healthy diet, non-toxic lifestyle and freedom of medical choice for parents and their children. "Evidence indicates that recently vaccinated individuals should be quarantined in order to protect the public."

Scientific evidence demonstrates that individuals vaccinated with live virus vaccines such as MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), rotavirus, chicken pox, shingles and influenza can shed the virus for many weeks or months afterwards and infect the vaccinated and unvaccinated alike. 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.11.12

Furthermore, vaccine recipients can carry diseases in the back of their throat and infect others while displaying no symptoms of a disease.13,14,15

Both unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals are at risk from exposure to those recently vaccinated. Vaccine failure is widespread; vaccine-induced immunity is not permanent and recent outbreaks of diseases such as whooping cough, mumps and measles have occurred in fully vaccinated populations.16,17 Flu vaccine recipients become more susceptible to future infection after repeated vaccination.18,19

Adults have contracted polio from recently vaccinated infants. A father from Staten Island ended up in a wheel chair after contracting polio while changing his daughter's diaper. He received a 22.5 million dollar award in 2009. 20,21

"Vaccine failure and failure to acknowledge that live virus vaccines can spread disease have resulted in an increase in outbreaks of infectious disease in both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals," says Leslie Manookian, producer of The Greater Good. "CDC should instruct physicians who administer vaccinations to inform their patients about the risks posed to others by those who've been recently vaccinated."

According to the Weston A. Price Foundation, the best protection against infectious disease is a healthy immune system, supported by adequate vitamin A and vitamin C. Well-nourished children easily recover from infectious disease and rarely suffer complications.

The number of measles deaths declined from 7575 in 1920 (10,000 per year in many years in the 1910s) to an average of 432 each year from 1958-1962.22 The vaccine was introduced in 1963. Between 2005 and 2014, there have been no deaths from measles in the U.S. and 108 deaths reported after the MMR vaccine.23

I wrote about this nearly a week ago after it appeared on Mexico Daily website, but most didn’t seem to take it seriously. Perhaps they’ll believe it now that it’s plastered across the front of CNN.com US and CNN Mexico. I am saddened that it takes a mainstream news to get people to believe or acknowledge this tragedy.

Mexican health officials are investigating after two babies died and 29 children were hospitalized from suspected adverse reactions to shots from the country’s national vaccination program.

Six of the children hospitalized in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas remain in serious condition, the Mexican Social Security Institute said on Sunday.

The parents of the two infants who died were so outraged at the government that they refused to let authorities perform autopsies, CNNMexico reported.

The shots that the babies were given before they died or fell ill were tuberculosis, rotavirus and Hepatitis B. We are told it was indeeed Merck’s vaccine (that’s the rotovirus) in which Paul Offit holds a share and is the inventor of Some refer to him as Paul “profit” Offit and interestingly he is often called in as a vaccine expert despite the. obvious conflict of interest.. Some are tweeting him at Offit’s twitter account here to let him know how they feel about his vaccine that he invented being 1 of the 3 being administered to the babies who died.

Do you know what the rotovirus vaccine is that Offit invented and profits from? It allegedly stops diarrhea in babies. I think I’d rather have diarrhea than some of the serious side effects (including death) than this harmful sometimes dangerous unnecessary vaccine causes. Thankfully it was not around when I was a child. But follow the money. It sounds like something out of an Orwellian novel. They announced it over loudspeakers for the townspeople to come and randomly get their children vaccinated. Who pays for this? More importantly who profits? I’ve spent months in Mexico (including rural areas- I was just there 2 months ago) and despite what people think- they were some of the healthiest vibrant children I’ve ever seen.

My heart goes out to the families of the infants who have died and the many who are hospitalized because of these vaccines. We hope they can recover and I feel for them as I was vaccine injured at 3 months by the DPT shot in the 70s. I almost died, had a 104 fever, seizures and was hospitalized. I am one of the lucky ones.

3rd “Alternative” Prominent Doctor From Florida Found Dead in 2 weeks.
Authorities say MD was murdered.

This has been a tragic few weeks of reporting. My heart goes out to family and friends of all 3 doctors who were found dead these past few weeks.

Less than 2 weeks ago the first doctor, a controversial Autism researcher loved by his patients, Dr. Jeff Bradstreet MD, was found in a river with a gunshot wound to his chest. He leaves behind a beautiful wife and children. His friends and family started a memorial page on June 20th in his honor on Facebook. I waited 3 days after that to report the story out of respect. A few still write that I shouldn’t cover these stories, but I am a journalist, and as I’ve repeatedly said, it brought me no joy to report the news. I waited until all were covered by mainstream news and or funeral sites. Dr. Bradstreet had lived just 45 minutes from us here in Florida before moving to the neighboring state of Georgia. I also have been with a prominent well known doctor for the last 6 years so this concerns me. Several high profile MD’s have contacted me these last 2 weeks who are also concerned and mourn the loss of their colleagues.

The second doctor is Dr. Bruce Hedendal DC PhD of Boca Roton area (E Coast, North of Miami) who died suddenly on Father’s day. Sources tell me that he was found in his car and had died but the car, but there was no car accident they say. He was just in his car. Deceased. He had exercised earlier in at an event, but we don’t want to speculate. He also leaves behind a beautiful family. As of yet I do not know if it was natural causes or not that took his life. In addition to being a DC, he held a PhD in nutrition from Harvard. A friend who worked with him said he was in great shape and described him as “very healthy”. They too didn’t know the cause of death and were still in shock. Not sure if anyone knows the cause of death at this point.

Both Dr Hedendal and Dr. Bradstreet had dealt with run ins with the feds in the past. In fact, Dr. Bradstreet’s office was just raided by the FDA days before he died. We know they will both be missed by countless patients, family and friends.

Now we have the attractive intelligent Teresa Ann Sievers MD, also here in Florida. She was in the Naples area in the South West coast of the sunshine state. Her bio on her website describes many accomplishments and degrees as a medical doctor who believed in a holistic alternative approach. She lived in a safe upscale area where neighbors said they rarely, if ever had problems. I had actually just been in that neighborhood last month and it’s a beautiful area. We are heartbroken to report all 3 deaths, and have more doctors contacting us who are concerned about this sequence of tragic events. They are also concerned – as my significant other is a prominent doctor who resides in Florida.

The killing of a popular Estero doctor has left family and friends puzzled and saddened.

The body of Dr. Teresa Ann Sievers, 46, was found Monday morning at her Jarvis Road home after she didn’t arrive at work. “We don’t know anything but that she was murdered,” said Sievers’ sister, Annie Lisa, 52. She said Sievers, her husband and children had come to Connecticut for a gathering and her sister flew home alone Sunday.

We cannot imagine what the family is going through at this time. The article goes on to say.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office declined to discuss the case, saying it was an ongoing homicide investigation, but assured neighbors that there was no threat in the area, but they reminded residents to lock their doors.

Sadly Dr. Sievers leaves behind a husband Mark, and their two daughters who are 8 and 10. We will update the article as we know more here in Florida. I was just in Bonita Springs visiting the neighborhood where Dr. Sievers lived. I met so many people in the holistic and medical community.
