    Easter Candy :)

So I went in to the shop where I work (seasonally) to pick up some things for a friend's surprise package. It's been closed for two weeks, but I knew that the Easter candy would be marked down. It was half priced, so I treated myself They make an amazing assortment of filled chocolate eggs (cherry cream, buttercream, peanut butter, maple, etc.). May go back tomorrow to get stuff to send out a few more surprise packages....

Picked up several packs of Peeps for my husband. He may be Jewish but he likes Easter candy. LOL
To get flowers, you need more than sunshine, you need chit and rain too

Sadly, the Easter candy that I sent to my friend (via Priority Mail) is stuck somewhere (probably Detroit sorting hub). It was mailed April 30 and has been 'in transit' since May 4.

It was a bad move when USPS changed some of their locations. Toledo was removed as a sorting center and all of our postal stuff has been getting routed through Detroit. We shipped a painting a few years ago, and it was held up there because of a hurricane threat to Florida. It never emerged from Detroit. At least my most recent package wasn’t as expensive as that painting.

Good news!! The Easter surprise box was delivered yesterday, and my friend in Texas got it before the white chocolate rabbit got soft or melted He was so surprised to see all the fun candy that I stuffed into that little flat-rate package. He sent me a picture of all the goodies spread out, and everything was intact. Yippee! It took longer than planned, but it was worth the wait to him.
