Dancing NOPD cold-case detective has hot moves
March 06, 2014 7:01 PM CST by: Nancy Parker
NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - An NOPD detective is an overnight sensation for dance moves that have gone viral on the Internet.
Winston Harbin did the Wobble with parade-goers on the streets during the Endymion Parade, and now the video of the dance is getting crazy hits and people can't seem to get enough. "Saturday when we did the dance, it was me and Detective DeCynda Barnes having a little fun with the crowd," Harbin said. "It's evolved into a pleasant public relations issue for the Police Department."
Harbin said he has been on Youtube, the Washington Post, Yahoo, ABC, MSN, CNN and other media outlets. He said it all started at his daughter's wedding reception in 2012. "The song came on and obviously it's got a good beat, so I was going to get up and just freestyle," he said.
His other daughters taught him the Wobble moves that night.
The 50-year-old said he learned to dance during the Soul Train era. He demonstrated the Robot on his favorite song "Dancing Machine" by The Jackson Five. He's also an expert at the Cupid Shuffle, and he showed it on the streets Fat Tuesday. "He's doing something like this and he goes this way," said attorney David Band as he tried to imitate Harbin as he danced. "Will you teach me how to do it?"
Wobble Cop Harbin shares the knowledge, but Band said it looks easier than it is. Bystander Ernest Anders said the force needs more officers like him. "I'm a detective first, and it brings to light the hard work we're involved with," Harbin said. "I'll capitalize on it as much as I can."

Kevin Bacon tells Millennials about the '80s
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09q04Dlh7r8#t=16
In an effort to spread awareness about the decade, the "two-time Saturn Award nominee" explains its cultural significance and technological advancements (or lack thereof) in a hilarious video from Mashable.
So, how did he ask a girl out? Bacon went to (gasp) the White Pages and called her house. If she wasn't interested, "you couldn't just swipe away the hurt."
What was Bacon's favorite app? A Rubik's Cube!
Then, Bacon gets realy deep, comparing the current situation between the United States and Russia with the Cold War.
"You couldn't even skateboard to a Blockbuster without getting nuked," Bacon said. At least that's what happened to his friend, Tommy.
Perhaps the best gem is that he is perturbed that people born after 1985 will never know how comfortable parachute pants are.

Christopher Walken ? No - Christopher DANCIN' !! See the actor hit the dance floor in this video remix featuring scenes from 57 of his movies, all set to the song 'Everybody Dance Now.' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNaau...layer_embedded
Video, Everybody Dance Now, Entertainment News
If you've ever seen the music video for Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" then you know that Christopher Walken has got the moves. If you're a real fan of his you might even know that before becoming a film star, Walken initially trained as a musical theater dancer at the Washington Dance Studio. But unless you've seen every one of Walken's movies -- and there are a lot of them -- you might not realize just how many times he has danced on screen. Whether it's a song-and-dance extravaganza such as 1988's "Puss in Boots," or a quick jig inserted into an otherwise serious role, such as 1990's "King of New York" (which was reportedly improvised on the spot), the man simply loves to dance. And we love to watch him. In honor of the national treasure that is Christopher Walken, here is a music video of him dancing his way across the silver screen and into our hearts.
Below is a complete list of the films used in the video:
