    Haircuts

Discovered a cosmetology (probably did not spell that correct) school in my area. Decided what the heck and got a haircut for 8$. The student was a bit worried as she said she had never cut fine thin hair like I have. She asked the instructor for a lot of assistance which was okay with me the instructor ended up doing most of the work and I had a good cut. Went back today and a sign in front saying haircuts 1$ The stylist that cut my hair did a great job. They have to ask the instructor to check it and she did and found one uneven place which she corrected. I asked about the 1$ cut and was told they do that the 2nd Wednesday of every month! Hurray! Just wanted others to know in case there is one in your area and perhaps to ask about specials such as that!
I felt good to be able to give the stylist a good tip and still have a good cut at less than a third of the price than what I paid at a Wal Mart place!

I used to get cuts at a barber school, but I stopped after I got messed up pretty bad. The kid felt horrible and I looked it, lol....

I was a teen with long hair almost to my waist. My Aunt decided we should try the cutting school. *crickets* They asked if I wanted it short and I told them, "Not too short". I ended up with a pixie type cut. My brother's nickname for me was "chicken head" and my dad let me stay home from school for 3 days. *facepalm*

All in all, it was a great cut, they did a great job....but it just was not what I was expecting...and at about 15 years old...it was traumatizing.

As an adult, I might do it again.

I've always thought getting professional haircuts was a waste of money. I always cut my own hair, and my son's hair, but then again, we're males and it is easier. It always pays to have a family member who is decent at cutting hair
