Kids who are perfectly old enough to entertain themselves, fix themselves something to eat, etc etc but are constantly up my butt fighting whining and wanting.

OMG ! I totally agree ! I have three people in my life that I have to plan on my phone going dead if I answer it when they call... I have to 'plan' the calls ! Needless to say, I don't take their calls very often !
