Free Stuff on Listia

I have been getting a bunch of free stuff on Listia.com for the last month or so, and didn’t see anything on BigBigForums about it. It’s basically an auction site, but no cash is involved, only credits and everyone gives away their stuff for free. You get 100 credits when join, and another 100 if you link you facebook & twitter account. Those credits can be used to get anything on the site you want, for free.

The idea of the site is to get rid of the things you don’t want anymore and get new things that you do want… without using cash. The first 200 credits you start with can be used for quite a few things.

Since I joined, these are the auctions I won by using my first 200 credits, it cost me nothing:
$5 Gift Card to Bath & Body Works – 55 Credits
DVD of Shrek (free shipping) – 35 Credits
New iphone Case – 60 credits
Wii Video Game – 50 credits

I have seen a few other forums mention it, anyone else been using Listia.com? I find it pretty addicting, but fun

I use listia.com.It is truly addicting & so much fun.I joined last week I believe & have already won an auction & hopefully many more lol.

You can do the same thing on your neighborhood freecycle organization. Go to freecycle.com, do a search for your city, and join other freecyclers. Since I have joined ours in St Pete, I have gotten a lot of things----ex: paint to do a 5 bedroom home, a computer system complete, clothes, etc.... People put their unwanted things on there to keep them out of the landfills-----check it out, it is worth every moment you're there!

I agree, Freecycle is good too, or can be depending on your city. Listia just offers a chance to get other fun things for free, like DVDs, video games, designer clothes, and it makes it fun to give away your stuff and get someone elses.

Yeah, you get 50 credits when you join and another 50 when you list your first item.
