Left behind in carriages

Lately my husband has been laughing at me because I check out all the carriage returns in the parking lot around our car. Originally I was just looking for stray receipts. Twice I have found items left behind -- a 12 pack of toilet paper and a 24pk of Cheerwine. I kept the TP and donated the soda to the food bank.

I think they just grab as many bags as they can from the cart and never look down. I don't know. I thought one time it might have been one of those pickup orders, someone else putting the grocery bags in the car, but the cart was not near those parking spaces. Just not paying attention I guess. Their loss, my gain!

This week the employee was already wheeling the last of the carriages into the store when I got there! So I didn't get to look.

I look for dropped and discarded receipts all the time at Meijer and Aldi. Sometimes I might see one in a shopping cart, but I usually find them in the parking lot. At Aldi I always stop at the shelf after checking out to rearrange my purchases and glance around for receipts :) One of the Meijer ones that I found checked off an item for 850 points, and it was something I didn't click on when I uploaded the receipt!!

Me too! I just casually pick it up like it was mine to begin with. :lol
