Protesters called for more demonstrations Wednesday following a night of unrest over the fatal shooting of a black man by police officers that was caught on video outside a Baton Rouge convenience store.
The two officers have been placed on administrative following the incident early Tuesday. The officers have not been identified.
Officers responded to the store about 12:35 a.m. Tuesday after an anonymous caller indicated a man, later identified as Alton Sterling, 37, selling music CDs and wearing a red shirt threatened him with a gun, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said.
Two officers responded and some type of altercation with the man ensued. One officer fatally shot the suspect, McKneely said. Both officers have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard department policy, he said.
Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., who called for the Department of Justice to investigate the killing, said officials claimed both officers had body cameras "but they fell off during the struggle and do not show the shooting."

OK I'm trying to understand this so called Black lives matter stuff.
What happened to Alton Sterling is tragic.
And if it's shown that the police did murder him they should be published, period.
Yet there was another Murder n Ascension, a Black man McNair chased down then shot his soon to be wife n the mouth killing her in front of witnesses. When the police came, no one saw a thing.
Now this is a black on black crime.
But what gets me is Why this Group 'the Black Lives Matter' only comes out only when there is a Cop Killing of a black male/female
But when there r Black on Black u can't find them it's like looking for an needle in the Mississippi
I'm just asking WHY ?
For all of you half wits who need this situation spelled out for you. Here is another angle and more footage for you. NOW LETS THINK HERE PEOPLE.
1. The police were responding to a call of a man wielding a pistol and threatening the public.
2. They arrive and approach a man matching his description.
3. They attempt to detain him since they have REASONABLE SUSPICION.
4. He refuses to cooperate because he is a career criminal on parole with an illegal firearm.
5. They shoot him with a taser in an attempt to get him to comply. Twice.
6. Taser doesn't work, they tackle him and attempt to gain control so they can restrain him.
7. He continues to resist and attempts getting up.
8. The officer on his right side notices a hard object in the mans right pocket. When he investigates he discovers there's a pistol. He yells "gun"
9. The officers tell him "don't move".
10. He attempts to grab the pistol.
NOW WAIT! Before you argue. You can clearly hear the officer say "he's going for the gun"
11. Shots are fired.
12. He still attempts to get up (and possibly grab the weapon again)
13. Shots are fired again.
There's your play by play people.

Alton Sterling Shooting by Police in Baton Rouge Sets Off Protests

Shooting in Baton Rouge: What we know
John Bacon, USA TODAY 9:35 p.m. EDT July 6, 2016
Police in Baton Rouge fatally shot a black man outside a convenience store early Tuesday in a confrontation recorded by a bystander whose video has gone viral.
The shooting has prompted peaceful protests and a federal civil rights investigation. Here is what we know:
How did the altercation begin?
Police say officers Blane Salamoni, a four-year member of the department and Howie Lake II, three years, responded to an anonymous call from someone claiming a man selling CDs outside a Triple S Food Mart threatened him with a gun. After police arrived, some type of struggle ensued and Alton Sterling, 37, was fatally shot in the chest and back. The officers were placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
What does video of the confrontation show?
Cellphone footage circulating on social media appears to capture the encounter. "Get on the ground, get on the ground!" one officer shouts at the outset of the video clip. A second officer tackles Sterling, who appears to be pinned down when an officer yells, "He's got a gun! Gun!" The other officer then draws his service weapon and fires at Sterling.
Congressman Cedric Richmond, D-LA, said both officers were wearing body cameras, but they fell off during the struggle and do not show the shooting. He said police are analyzing dash cam video and store surveillance video, which are believed to have captured the ordeal.
Was Sterling armed?
The store’s owner, Abdul Muflahi, told WAFB-TV that Sterling did not have a gun in his hand but he saw officers remove a gun from Sterling’s pocket after the shooting.
East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar C. Moore III on Wednesday said he and his staff watched interviews of the two officers with internal investigators. He said the two officers "feel they were completely justified” in shooting Sterling, the Advocate reported.
Is carrying a gun legal in Louisiana?
Louisiana is an "open carry" state, meaning people can be armed with a gun in plain sight. There are exceptions, such as for felons and people convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence.
Who was Alton Sterling?
Sterling was a father who appeared to be well known in the neighborhood. He also had a lengthy arrest record and was a registered sex offender since being convicted on a charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in September 2000. Family members urged the public not to judge him on his criminal record, saying he had paid his dues.
Mufleh Alatiyat, 25, who worked at the convenience store, told the Associated Press Sterling was generous, often giving away CDs or buying food or drink for people. “He was a very nice guy,” Alatiyat said. “He helped a lot of people.”
Who will be conducting the investigation?
Gov. John Bel Edwards announced Wednesday that the U.S. Justice Department's Civil Rights Division will lead the investigation. The FBI, Louisiana State Police and local officials will aid the probe, he said.
What has the reaction been to the shooting?
Residents protested on and off throughout the day Tuesday. Demonstrators chanted, "hands up, don't shoot" and "black lives matter." More protests are planned for Wednesday. Michael McClanahan, head of the NAACP in Baton Rouge, said Police Chief Carl Dabadie, Jr. should resign or be fired: “I demand the chief be fired immediately. I demand that he resign if he has the guts.”
The Rev. Jesse Jackson tweeted:
"The shooting of #AltonSterling in #BatonRouge is a legal lynching.
Justice must prevail. #Outraged."
Gov. Edwards called the video "disturbing to say the least." State Rep. C. Denise Marcelle, D-Baton Rouge, is calling on Louisiana State Police to take over the investigation. Richmond is calling for a probe by the U.S. Justice Department.

ou may have noticed the #AltonSterling trending. Who is Alton Sterling? Good question. Details about him are still emerging. But before all the facts are known, the left is trying to push their “police officers kill black men for sport” narrative, and are using Sterling as their next move. Here are some details, for those who aren’t yet up to speed:
Alton Sterling, a 37-year old man who sold CDs, was shot and killed by a Baton Rouge police officer Tuesday morning outside a convenience store on North Foster Drive after “some type of altercation” with two officers, officials said.
Baton Rouge police did not provide much information about what escalated the incident between the officers and Sterling or what prompted an officer to fire his weapon. A witness, however, described police as “aggressive” and said Sterling was armed but was not holding his gun or touching his pockets during the incident. Police later retrieved a gun from the man’s pocket, said the witness, shop owner Abdullah Muflahi.
I’d say we should wait for the facts to come in, but of course this is 2016 and since there was someone there with a video camera it’s too late for that now. I’m just going to point out these three things:
1. Police were called because they were told Sterling was pointing his gun at someone and threatening to shoot. Many mainstream media outlets are failing to report that tiny detail, instead focusing on the children he’s left behind. So already this case has been painted with the “THIS IS NOTHING BUT A SENSELESS TRAGEDY” brush. And yes, it is always tragic when someone is shot. But let’s not ignore the facts.
2. In the video (NSFW obsiously), you hear the police yelling that he had the gun. You’ll also hear the police yelling at Sterling “Don’t move!” As in, do not reach for your gun. As in, do not move. As in “we have you on the ground. Don’t reach for your gun.”
3. Small detail, the guy was a registered sex offender. It doesn’t prove anything here, but let’s not pretend he was a choir boy.
And before everyone makes it into a race thi…ok, it’s too late for that. But a reminder, more white people get shot by police officers than black people get shot by cops. Typically a black person is shot by another black person, but we’re not supposed to talk about that.
Now, here’s a brief commentary before the world continues down its rabbit hole of stupid. Louisiana is an open carry state. You can have a gun there. Okay? Okay. But you can’t brandish your weapon and threaten people with it. It’s more than frowned upon, it’s illegal. For reasons which are self-explanatory. Okay? Okay. Further, if police are called out and ask you to do something, do it. Resisting arrest isn’t a good idea. Which you can clearly see in the video if you so choose to watch.
The people recording the video did not capture the actual shooting. That’s also key here. Should the cops have shot Sterling? We can’t know, we didn’t see what Sterling did at the moment of the shooting.
What we can say is, despite him having children, despite him selling CDs, despite him having a gun in an open carry state, if he reached for his gun as two cops had him on the ground… all those details about what a love-bunny he is doesn’t matter.
And if a white man had reached for his gun in the presence of cops, he’d be shot too. Even if he had children and sold CDs.
Hence the left’s quick move to push the narrative before facts come in. That’s not an accident. It’s a pattern. See also Ferguson, Freddie Gray, and Timir Rice.
Look we would have loved to wait for the details of this case to come in before writing about it. But the left doesn’t wait. They push the narrative as quickly as possible. We’re simply reacting to their moves here, trying to balance this out.
But patience for details, waiting for facts, none of that matters to people pushing a narrative. What matters is the continued maligning of cops. The same people, incidentally, that the left wants armed while taking away your guns.

3. Small detail, the guy was a registered sex offender. It doesn’t prove anything here, but let’s not pretend he was a choir boy
I just ran Alton Sterling in the EBR criminal/civil records. HOLY COW!!!! He has 35 entries JUST in EBR. He's been charged with simple battery, 2nd degree battery, public intimidation, carnal knowledge of a juvenile, domestic violence, domestic violence with battery, non support, failure to register as a sex offender, possession of ecstacy, marijuana, tresspassing, illegal possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting, possession of schedule 1 drugs, felony theft, burglary of an inhabited dwelling, aggravated burglary, theft, possession of a stolen firearm, and ON and ON and ON. Half of these things - including Carnal Knowledge, he has been charged with MORE than once. It's sad when anyone dies, but this was not a good guy. And, to take the side of a well known criminal over that of a police officer is just wrong. He was a career criminal who died while he was committing a crime. He has a history of resisting and a history for possessing firearms. I hope that Baton Rouge doesn't become another Ferguson. The feds are going to lead the investigation. Good. Let them do their job. All these family press conferences and protests serve no purpose other than to inflame people and that is EXACTLY what they are trying to do.

Tonight much attention is being placed on the death of Alton Sterling, a black man who was shot by one of two police officers. Many would like to believe that the shooting of Mr. Sterling was a calculated act by two white racist police officers who were just looking for the chance to kill a black man.
This thought process flies in the face of logic. How, you might ask?
Well, let's consider what is going on with these two officers at this moment.
1. Much of the public has prejudged them, with nothing more than a short video, to be guilty of murder.
2. Many of their peers are second guessing their actions believing that if they were in the same situation they would have reacted differently.
3. They are, and will be, intently interrogated by local, state, and federal investigators, looking not only for violations of law, but also of department policy. While policy violations won't result in jail time, they can very easily result in the loss of a career.
4. Eventually, it is possible that they will face a grand jury made up of private citizens who likely have never been confronted with any type of violent act, will spend days, weeks, months, examining every move these officers made that fateful day, and make a decision without having ever walked in the shoes of a police officer.
5. Local, state, and national media will report on every facet of their personal and professional lives, speak to countless "witnesses" that weren't even in the area when the incident occurred, and make opinionated judgements often with nothing more than conjecture. In addition, it will be reported ad nauseam, twenty-four hours a day, while their pictures continuously appear, making them an easy target for the "angry protesters". Death threats will most assuredly come in waves towards them AND their families.
6. If indicted, they will face an intense trial whose outcome could mean a criminal conviction and prison.
7. Even if they aren't indicted and facing criminal trial, they will certainly be subjected to a civil trial and the possibility of losing every possession that they own.
8. Attorney fees for the criminal and civil defenses are likely to be astronomical.
9. During the investigations, and possibly thereafter, they will not be able to work the extra details that almost all officers have to work to make ends meet. Considering their time on the force, they are probably working many extra hours each month to provide for their families.
10. Regardless of everyone else, their harshest critics are themselves. No doubt they have played that night over in their head multiple times, often second guessing what they did, and having to live with the reality that even though they dedicated themselves to saving lives, on this night they took one.
11. No matter the outcome, one thing is for sure, officers involved in shootings seldom remain police officers. The average number of years that a police officer stays on the force after something like this is two years. Many times they leave because of the emotional impact it has had on them, other times they leave because they financially cannot survive on an officer's salary plus the accumulated bills. Other times it is pressure from a spouse or other family members. Whatever the reason, their dream is gone.
I didn't write this to take away from the fact that another human being has died. I will not judge his worth to society, as I believe that all life is precious. I will not judge whether these officers acted correctly. I don't have, and probably never will know all of the facts. It is not my job to judge.
I simply wrote this for all of the people sitting in the comfort of their homes enjoying a peaceful night all because men and women like these two chose to forego the pleasures of a "normal" life to protect those who didn't.
If you get nothing else out of this, I hope you reconsider your back ass-ward thinking that police officers somehow "enjoy" killing anyone.

And so the glorifying of the dead begins
Alton Sterling hustled all his life, trying to scrape together enough money in $5 increments by selling copies of movies, albums and games.
A fixture in front of the Triple S Food Mart, where he was shot by a Baton Rouge police officer early Tuesday, neighbors and friends described the 37-year-old Sterling as a friendly, kind-hearted man who spent nights peddling his wares.
“If you asked Alton for the shirt off his back, he’d give it to you. Alton would give you the world,” Lorna Sterling, an aunt who helped raise him following his mother’s death, said Tuesday evening while standing in the parking lot of the store. “Alton sits out here until 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning. All he did was sell his CDs and DVDs and go eat.”
A cousin who grew up with Alton Sterling described his upbringing as “a rough childhood” — his mother died in 1986 and he went on to lives with other relatives — but said he’d stayed close with his family and had a sharp sense of humor.
“He always could make you laugh,” said the cousin, Sharida Sterling, who added she thought of Alton as a brother. “You know how when something like this happens people always say good, good, good things? Well, he really was a good person. You won’t hear a bad story from nobody.”
Alton Sterling’s life was punctuated by arrests and jail terms stretching back to 1996, including an encounter with police similar to the one that ended in his death.
In May 2009, he was selling CDs outside a convenience store when a Baton Rouge officer asked if he had any weapons or drugs on him, according to a police report. Sterling didn’t answer, and the officer had him put his hands on the police car, the report said. While being frisked for weapons, Sterling tried to reach into his front left pocket for an unknown item, the officer wrote.
Sterling then tried to run from the officer, who grabbed the back of his shirt and pushed him to the ground. During the struggle, a stolen 9mm semi-automatic pistol fell from Sterling’s waist band, the report said. Officers also found a small plastic bag of suspected marijuana in Sterling’s front left pocket.
Sterling later pleaded guilty in May 2011 to illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, and was sentenced to five years in July 2011.
Relatives said most of the crimes Sterling may have committed came while trying to eke out a living.
“He did some time in jail, got out, and came out here selling CDs, trying to make an honest living,” said Sharida Sterling.
After returning home from that prison term, Lorna Sterling said her nephew had resolved to steer clear of trouble and take care of his five children, including a set of twins. She also said his brother died about six months ago.
The owner of the Triple S Food Mart, Abdullah Muflahi, said he’d happily allowed Alton to set up shop outside his building since getting to know him about six years ago.
Cameron Sterling, Alton’s 15-year-old son, broke down in tears at a press conference Wednesday morning outside the Baton Rouge City Hall, turning away from the crowd into the embrace of supporters and shielding his face in a shirt.
His mother — Quinyetta McMillion — said anyone watching the widely circulated cell phone video of Sterling’s death “will see with your own eyes how he was killed unjustly and without regard for the lives he helped raise.”
McMillion, choking back tears herself as she spoke to reporters, said focusing on Sterling’s past mistakes “obscured the image of a man who was simply trying to earn a living to take care of his children.”
Muflahi, who witnessed and filmed the shooting outside his store, said Sterling was occasionally harassed by police officers — an account echoed by several relatives — but said there were never issues.
Robert Crosby, a contractor who did maintenance on Muflahi’s store, said he got to know Sterling at the Triple S and occasionally passed him a bit of cash.
“He’d been working hard for himself, sitting out here in 110 degree heat every day,” Crosby said. “He’d served his time and was trying to do right.”
“I’d never seen him get out of hand with anyone,” said Elvina Scott, who lives nearby and said she’d bought a CD from Sterling a few minutes before the shooting. Scott said Alton told her not to worry about paying the cash that night.
“He said, ‘I’ll get the five dollars from you tomorrow, sister,’” Scott said.
Some criminal convictions continued to haunt Alton Sterling. In a 2000 carnal knowledge of a juvenile case, Sterling pleaded guilty to having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl when he was 20 years old.
The conviction required that Sterling register as a sex offender, something Baton Rouge authorities alleged he’d failed to do in a May arrest warrant. A count of failing to register was pending against him at the time of his death, as were charges of possession of Ecstasy and marijuana
Sterling had been living at a halfway house, where he’d registered. But a probation officer who checked on him in August was told by the center manager that Sterling hadn’t lived there for two weeks. He’d also spent time living with aunts and other relatives, they said.
Vereta Lee, an East Baton Rouge school board member who said she’s known the Sterling family for years, described Alton Sterling as “a very nice, kind fellow” trying his best to provide for his family and stay out of trouble, given a tough set of circumstances — a job that kept him outside in an often rough neighborhood until late in the night.
“He wasn’t making much but enough to try to feed himself,” Lee said.

...trying to make an honest living,”...
selling illegal bootleg DVD's & CDs....
... “He’d been working hard for himself, sitting out here in 110 degree heat every day”...
But the shooting was at 2:30 AM and he was usually there - according to all other accounts - late at night and early hours of the morning.
... a job that kept him outside in an often rough neighborhood until late in the night....
The owner of the Triple S Food Mart, Abdullah Muflahi, said he’d happily allowed Alton to set up shop outside his building since getting to know him about six years ago.
Considering his store is "Ground Zero" if the protests turn out like Baltimore or Detroit.... he can't say much else.
...said Sterling was occasionally harassed by police officers...
He was arrested, tried, and convicted on multiple counts of violent behavior, and on drug charges. If you are a "habitual offender" who keeps getting caught... I don't think that is "harassment"
Sterling had been living at a halfway house, where he’d registered. But a probation officer who checked on him in August was told by the center manager that Sterling hadn’t lived there for two weeks.
He was not staying at the House - where you have to remain alcohol and drug free - for almost a year. Had not reported to his probation officer nor registered as a sex offender as required. Had as recently as three weeks ago been arrested with drugs in his pockets... same as the night he was killed.
The police didn't roll up to "harass" Sterling - they were called out because a man matching his description was waving his gun around threating to shoot someone in a disagreement.
“He wasn’t making much but enough to try to feed himself,” Lee said.
“will see with your own eyes how he was killed unjustly and without regard for the lives he helped raise.”
McMillion, choking back tears herself as she spoke to reporters, said focusing on Sterling’s past mistakes “obscured the image of a man who was simply trying to earn a living to take care of his children.”
They contradict themselves in the same article....
Cameron Sterling, Alton’s 15-year-old son, broke down in tears at a press conference Wednesday morning outside the Baton Rouge City Hall, turning away from the crowd into the embrace of supporters and shielding his face in a shirt.
This was really cruel - whom ever thought this was a good idea was looking for a dramatic "moment" and not thinking about the kid AT ALL.

To my friends and family that live out of state:
When all hell breaks loose this weekend, I need you guys to remember that THIS is not the Louisiana that I know and love.
Remember that the protests that you have seen on TV have been peaceful. They are angry, but (as of now) have not acted out in violence.
VERY credible reports are circulating that bus loads of paid protestors are on their way in to this area. When and if things go bad around here, I STILL will not blame the good people of Baton Rouge. I will blame it all on the race-baiting, violence-inciting leaders of certain groups with their own agendas that do NOT include the peaceful resolution of issues here. I'm hopeful that the people of our area chase the agenda-led, paid protestors out of town. Prayers that they think before they act out of emotion.
Please, family and friends from other areas..... remember this and pray.
The NAACP was demanding the firing of the Police Chief and resignation of the Mayor within HOURS of the incident. There are at least three cell phone videos floating around ... but only ONE is getting played. Hmmmm. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are already making their way here.

This is not a gun enthusiast posing with a gun. This is a gang banger trying to turn his kids onto the exact same path that he clearly was traveling. The proper way to introduce children to firearms is not having them hold hand guns pointed at somebody with a camera and posing like that. it's a wonder he didn't get killed sooner.
...
I believe there is not definitive proof of evidence on any angle of video thus far, nor am I qualified to have a meaningful opinion on such matters. But the fact of the matter is he was a felon, sex offender, with multiple illegal firearm charges. Law enforcement was called after he had allegedly threatened somebody with a firearm- which is very probable. I also believe it is probable that more people than not chose not to contact law enforcement in the past between this incident and others he was convicted of. From a totally unbiased standpoint, I think without reasonable doubt that he was a total shitbag, with a spin by the liberal news to push their agenda. Whether the shooting was justified or not, I was not there and have not seen evidence either way. I do believe at this point burden of proof lies dead with his body and fresh new felony charges.
...
When entire black neighborhoods rally-around and defend criminality, going so far as to make these thugs heroes, when will this ever, ever come to an end? It never will - we all know this, but for some reason, blacks STILL insist these criminals are good-ole-boys, gentle giants, nice guys who make you laugh, and every other “nice guy” effigy.
Society cannot sustain itself when its members will not take control and disassociate themselves with criminality. Keep embracing it, and it swallows you whole. Then of course, just blame Whitey and all his supremacy and claim you are FORCED into crime to survive, but do nothing to remove the element (black crime and black thuggery) which enslaves you to it all.
Black "culture" is not an excuse, it's a cop-out - don't blame ME for the black dysfunction, and stop blaming poverty for black dysfunction. The black demographic claim they are the poorest of all in America (caused by Whitey's oppression of course) ...but truth is - blacks as a whole, are 3rd in the list of "Poorest". Somehow, all this poverty by Whites and Hispanics doesn't come close to the criminality seen in blacks. The black demographic commit 2/3 of all crime, and as high as 90% of all homicides – and are less than 14% of the population.
US CENSUS BUREAU 2011 ETHNIC BREAKDOWN OF THE POOR IN THE USofA:
--- White/Non Hispanic 41.5%
--- Hispanic/Any Race 28.6%
--- Black/Alone or in combination 25.4%
--- Asian 4.3%
In 2014, there were actually MORE White Americans in poverty (19.7 million), than members of ANY OTHER GROUP.
...
White, black, or rap sheet doesn't matter... He was clearly resisting arrest and trying to free himself from the officers. The officer on top was trying to hold his right arm. You can hear him say he has a gun in his pocket. The 2nd officer then draws his weapon because at that point their lives are in danger. The 2nd officer with gun drawn tells him/ warns him to not move or he will be shot. At that point the man on his back kept reaching for his pocket. Does anyone really believe he was going to get the gun and say here officers? NO - he was struggling to get that gun for one reason only... To use it on the officers attempting to detain him. By law the officer was not required to tell him to not move. Once they realized he had access to a firearm within arms reach they had every right to shoot him to protect them selves at that instance. However the officer gave him another chance by telling him DO NOT move.. Every person on here in that situation would have done the same thing. That man killed himself. By no means was that even close to murder.
Meanwhile as the mainstream media, the Department of Justice and Louisiana officials turn all of their attention to the police shooting death of Alton Sterling, five people were killed across the city of New Orleans in less than six hours. They weren't killed by white cops so nobody cares. Three shooting in the same area of Baton Rouge since the death of Sterling, but all Black/Clack crimes, so no one notices.
Records from the 19th Judicial District Court show that in August 2015 the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for the arrest of an Alton Sterling who had registered as a convicted sex offender to live at the center at the Brookstown address. Sterling was convicted of one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Sept. 2000, according to the warrant.
While Sterling had registered at the address in July, a probation officer who checked on him in August was told by the center manager that Sterling hadn’t lived there for two weeks.
The DA’s office filed a failure to register as a sex offender charge against Sterling in April.
Sterling’s court record shows he was accused of several crimes dating back to 1996. He’d pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, simple criminal damage to property and unauthorized entry, as well as domestic abuse battery. His longest sentence appeared to come in 2009, when he was sentenced to five years on possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute and illegally carrying a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance.
People question why the Alton Sterling criminal history is relevant, because officers couldn’t have known his history at the time.
Alton Sterling’s criminal history is relevant because when the media paints the picture of a gentle giant family man, who would never harm anybody, it’s hard to believe that he would fight with police officers and then reach for a gun to murder them. When you have the facts that Sterling was a violent child molester with a history of illegally carrying firearms, you can see that he is exactly the type of person who might reach for a gun when fighting with officers.

Trucker Being Blamed for Alton Sterling’s Death Shows Just How Ugly Our Social Media Culture Can Get
By Justen Charters (1 hour ago)
On Tuesday evening in Baton Rogue, Louisiana, Alton Sterling was killed outside a food mart in a struggle with police. According to a 911 call, Sterling was armed with a gun and pointed it at a bystander.
After tazing him, the officers, Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II, shot and killed Sterling. They said their use of deadly force was justified because Sterling was armed with a gun.
Sterling’s death has generated a massive outcry — and even various celebrities have voiced their outrage.
But one celebrity really kicked the hornet’s nest by accusing the wrong person of killing Alton Sterling. The celebrity, Meek Mill, is a best-selling rap artist.
He posted to Instagram:
I guess this not a thug..... If I say what I really wanted to say I would prolly b arrested! It's crazy that I'm scared to say what I really want say! "Can't fight a silent war with a silencer tho! "Most of these police shouldn't even be in our neighborhoods unless that neighborhood calls for assistance! "Put them white cops in our hoods knowing they races" "setting us up for failure made us rebellious!!!!! THE CRAZIEST THING ABOUT ALL THIS A RETIRED COP TOLD ME 2 DAYS AGO A RACE WAR IS APPROACHING!
But the person in the picture is not one of the officers involved in the shooting of Alton Sterling. He is a trucker named Robert J. Kinnison, and he’s from Michigan.
And while Meek Mill just recently jumped in on this false narrative, Kinnison has been receiving thousands of hate-filled messages and death threats over the last 36 hours.
Kinnison told Independent Journal Review he thinks the lie was started by someone on Twitter who’d gotten in a disagreement with him for being a Donald Trump supporter.
Yet, it isn’t clear how his name spread so rapidly.

this is how stupid this all is... The Mall of Louisiana is miles away from the shooting; Juban Crossing in another Parish altogether ... and what does boycotting shopping centers and Walmart have to do with someone being shot?

Rev. Reginald Pitcher, President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, has the following news release.
"The Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the NAACP and the Nation Of Islam have scheduled a Press Conference to announce the call for a Selective Buying Campaign. The Group is calling for all African-Americans and concerned citizens to refrain from shopping at the Mall of Louisiana, Cortana Mall and all Walmart stores from 11:00 AM Friday, July 8th until Sunday, July 10th at 12 midnight, in protest of the killing of Alton Sterling. The press conference will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the front entrance to the Mall of Louisiana."
This differs from the initial the call for boycotts had only specified the Mall of Louisiana.

KENNER, LA (WVUE) -
As the memorial continued to grow outside Raising Cane’s in Kenner, police on Thursday released new details about the armed robbery and fatal stabbing of shift manager Taylor Friloux.
“She had a total of eight stab wounds,” said Police Chief Michael Glaser.
Police said 24-year-old Mark Crocklen Jr. turned himself in to the St. John sheriff and admitted to driving the getaway car.
“He said he agreed to participate in a robbery, but not a homicide. That’s when he went to the St. John deputies, and then came back to Kenner and laid out he whole plan,” Glaser said.
Glaser said Joshua Every, a former employee of Raising Cane’s, orchestrated the whole thing and even wore his old Cane’s uniform during the robbery.
“He was actively recruiting people to help. He needed somebody to drive a car. He needed somebody to go in with him,” Glaser said.
U.S. Marshals arrested Every on Wednesday.
Investigators believe that early Wednesday morning, Every and another suspect approached Taylor Friloux and two other employees as they threw out trash in the back of the restaurant. They said Every was wielding a knife, and when Friloux refused to open the back door for them, he stabbed her in the chest.
“She was forced in. She unlocked the safe. They emptied the contents of the safe,” Glaser said.
On the way out, surveillance video shows Friloux collapse. At that point, investigators said Every stabbed her several more times before he and the other suspect jumped into the getaway car and took off.
“You get the money you want. You’re fleeing the store, and to stop and stab someone who’s motionless and laying on the floor - there’s something more to it,” Glaser said.
Police said it’s unclear why Every stabbed Friloux so many times after she had already collapsed. They’re now investigating it as a possible hate crime that may have been racially or gender motivated.
“Some have indicated to us that he has a dislike to certain people. I don’t know if it was the white race or the female race, but he was hard to work with,” Glaser said.
Right now, Every and Crocklen are booked with first-degree murder, three counts of armed robbery and criminal conspiracy. Police said a third suspect is in custody, and they’re expecting to book him later tonight. They also said a woman was in the getaway car when the robbery and murder happened. She remains at large.
Police said the surveillance video of the incident is evidence and will not be released.
Cane's corporate office said Thursday that founder and CEO Todd Graves and other executives have been in communication with Taylor’s mom and have made arrangements for Raising Cane’s to cover all funeral expenses. Cane’s has also been offering counseling for its employees.

Al Sharpton says he's coming to Baton Rouge, meeting with Alton Sterling’s family
July 7, 2016
Al Sharpton is coming to Baton Rouge to meet with the family of Alton Sterling, the long-time civil rights activist revealed in a blog post Thursday for the Huffington Post. A date for his visit was not specified.
Sterling, a black man, was fatally shot by a white police officer in a Baton Rouge convenience store parking lot Tuesday after officers reportedly responded to a disturbance call. “While responding to the rallying cry in Baton Rouge, I was shocked to see yet another incident in Minnesota, this time involving the death of Philando Castile by police — whose aftermath was also caught on video,” Sharpton said in the post.
He said such tragedies are “a national problem that requires national reform of police culture and the criminal justice system itself. Nothing short of that will turn this calamity around.”
Sharpton’s National Action Network web page posted a letter from Baton Rouge’s the Rev. Shelton Dixon, senior pastor of Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, asking Sharpton to come to Baton Rouge.
Citing the National Action Network’s “long track record of assisting families who are victims of police misconduct,” the letter says, “We are seeking the involvement of an organization like National Action Network because we want to ensure that the fight for justice will continue even when the cameras go away.”

We had an incident near here on Monday - the day before Sterling was shot. Black man chased his black fiance' down the street, pistol whipped her and then shot her in the mouth. In front of witnesses. When the police came to investigate the crime ... no one saw "nut'in"... no one came forward for HER. But a white cop ... everyone pulling out cell phones to take a video. There are at least 3 videos ot the Sterling incident. Wonder why you are only seeing the same one over and over ? Because it gives the least amount of information .. and only what fits the agenda. Divide and Conquer.
If you are so concerned about violence and shootings, how about we discuss Chicago ... Fourth of July Weekend saw over 60 people shot in a four day period ... 28 were wounded between about noon Sunday and 3 a.m. Monday morning. At least three of the victims were children under the age of 10. But the answer isn’t simply more gun control because a fifth person killed over the weekend was stabbed to death in a “domestic-related” incident. Almost all of them were black-on-black crime.

Police officers SHOT at Black Lives Matter protest
Written by Michelle Jesse, Associate Editor on July 7, 2016
Our nation tonight has suddenly become a tinder box, following two high-profile officer-involved shootings that left black men dead — the first, in Louisiana and another last night in Minnesota.
Protests have sprung up across the nation and police are gearing up for riots.
And tonight, tragedy is begetting more tragedy as we are getting reports of at least one — possibly three — officers being shot during one of the local protests in Dallas, Texas.
As WFAA reports from Dallas:
At least one officer is down in downtown Dallas after shots were fired at a protest in downtown Dallas of officer-involved shootings across the country.
[Other sources, including Fox, are reporting at least two officers down. Their conditions are unknown.]
It remains an active-shooter situation. Police have asked everyone to get to safety and avoid downtown Dallas.
The shots were fired as the march was moving down Lamar Street near Griffin.
An officer at the scene told News 8’s Marie Saavedra the shooter has a rifle. She described several volleys of quick bursts of gunfire.
A bystander who was at the scene told News 8 the shooter stood by as the rally passed him, then opened fire on officers.
This incident is unfolding just hours after President Obama took to the podium to address the two shootings. However, rather than calling for calm and for citizens to wait for facts before jumping to conclusions, he seems to have only stoked the fire:
Recent police-involved shooting incidents in the U.S. are “symptomatic of a broader set of racial disparities that exist in our criminal justice system,” President Barack Obama said.
“When incidents like this occur, there is a big chunk of our fellow citizenry that feels as if because of the color of their skin they are not being treated the same. And that hurts. And that should trouble all of us,” Obama said after a transatlantic flight to Warsaw.
“This is not just a black issue, not just a Hispanic issue. This is an American issue. All fair-minded people should be concerned.”
Yes, instead of using his bully pulpit to call for Americans to remain calm, and come together while we await the facts and an understanding of what transpired in both tragic events of the past few days, our Divider in Chief stoked the divide between races and the divide between police officers and those they bravely serve.
So anyone want to take a guess as to how soon the president will take to the podium again to express his concern over the shootings of these police officers tonight?

It's already gone up. 10 officers shot. 3 are dead.
#BREAKING: Dallas Police Department Chief David Brown confirms 3 officers are dead,
two are in critical condition, and 2 are in surgery.
DALLAS, TX - 10 police officers were shot by 2 snipers in downtown Dallas during a protest, Dallas Police Department Chief David Brown says.
3 of those officers have died. Another 3 are in critical condition. 2 are in surgery.
4 Dallas Area Rapid Transit officers were shot, one is dead.
Several hundred people gathered at Belo Garden Park in Dallas, marching to the Old Red Courthouse near Main and Market streets. The rally ended there when shots were heard around 9:00 p.m.
Police are asking city officials to rewind downtown cameras to look for potential suspects. They say the suspect or suspects may have gotten out of a Suburban during the protest.
Police are also reportedly responding to more shots fired at another hotel in the area.
Police are reportedly telling drivers to run red lights in order to get out of the line of fire.
An officer at the scene told reporters the shooter has a rifle. She described several volleys of quick bursts of gunfire.
According to Dallas reporters, the suspect was wearing a camouflage shirt and black shorts.
A witness at the rally said the shooter stood by as the rally passed by him, then opened fire on officers.
The scene remains an active-shooter situation.

Georgia shooter called 911, ambushed arriving officer
Published: Friday, July 8th 2016, 8:16 am CDT
Updated: Friday, July 8th 2016, 4:32 pm CDT
By Dave Miller Kristen Pozar Keeter
VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The man who shot a Valdosta police officer several times was the same person who called 911 to summon authorities in the first place, investigators announced Friday.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the suspect as Stephen Paul Beck, 22. According to a report, Beck told police that his car had been broken into and needed officers to respond. It was when the first officer did respond Friday morning that Beck opened fire, hitting officer Randall Hancock several times.
The GBI said Hancock had just exited his patrol car when the shooting started.
Hancock returned fire, wounding Beck.
It was only until after the incident that investigators learned that Beck was the 911 caller.
Officer Hancock and the suspect were taken to different hospitals. Hancock was said to be recovering after surgery, and Beck was listed in serious condition.
Police said officer Hancock was wearing a bullet proof vest and a body camera at the time. Footage from that camera was turned over to GBI.
Investigators also said they were looking for a 2009 silver Nissan Sentra with Georgia tag PVW 8141 that they said belongs to Beck.
Anyone with information about the location of the vehicle is asked to call the Valdosta Police Department at 229-293-3145 or the Thomasville GBI Regional Office at 229-225-4090.

Hacked messages of #BlackLivesMatter leader reveal Obama admin’s plan for ‘summer of chaos’ and martial law
Posted by Dr. Eowyn
U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch is coordinating with Democratic activists to so disrupt the upcoming Republican and Democratic National Conventions that martial law will be declared.
That’s the stunning discovery revealed in a series of direct messages between three activists.
On Friday, June 10, 2016, someone hacked into the Twitter account of #BlackLivesMatter (BLM) leader and former Baltimore mayoral candidate DeRay McKesson. McKesson later confirmed the hack to The Baltimore Sun.
On June 11, 2016, a Twitterer who calls himself The Saint (@TheSaintNegro) tweeted a direct-message conversation on June 10 between KcKesson and another BLM leader Johnetta Elzie (Netta), in which the two discussed talking with Attorney General Loretta Lynch about plans to bring on martial law by causing chaos at the upcoming Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, PA, so as to keep Obama in office.
Here’s the conversation over the course of several days between black activists DeRay McKesson (DM) and Johnetta Elzie (JE), and between McKesson and a “white ally” named Sam (S):
JE: “Have you spoken with Mrs. Lynch [Attorney General Loretta Lynch] recently about the plan for the summer and fall leading up to the elections.”
DM: “We spoke two weeks and they want us to start really pushing how racist Trump is now instead of waiting so the others can start getting the protesters ready to shut both conventions down.”
DM: “If we can get both conventions shut down for messing over Bernie and for having racist Trump, then get martial law declared so Obama can stay in office we will win. Call you soon when I get to my dads so I can use his landline and we can talk more on this.”
DM: “We have to make sure that we use our voices to keep people disrupting Trump all summer and through the fall so martial law can be declared….”
S: “I wanted to touch base with you about the summer of chaos. So far we have over 2,000 people bused in from different cities and another 6,000 to 8,000 expected to drive into Cleveland for the Convention.”
S: “They will not be ready for the crowds we are bringing and they will blame Trump for it, especially if we shut it down. The GOP will have to replace him at that point or we will continue the disruptions nationwide.”
DM: “I will pass the info along. Good work, Sam. You never let us down. It’s so important we stop Trump. He can not be president. He will destroy everything we worked so hard for and we can’t trust….”
DM: “…today and he [Sam?] confirmed that there will be around 10,000 protesters disrupting the [Republican] convention. Plans are being made for other cities as well for upcoming Trump events. Ads have already been placed looking for people to help. I know you don’t care for them [white people] but this is the time we need our white allies doing a lot of the work for us. They are the ones who listen the best.”
JE: “That will put fear into the GOP and the country when they can’t have their convention for all their racist supporting Trump. We’ve worked too hard and closely with the Obama administration to have that racist ass take it all away and Hillary…. You know I can’t stand those white allies, but yo right this is the best to use them. They hang on every word you say and will do whatever is asked. I just hate all that kiss ass they try to do. Like that changes who they are.”
DM: “We have a lot of white allies volunteering for Trump’s campaign to pass along information to us before it’s made public so we know when rallies are coming up before they are announced. That way we can plan major disruptions in those cities in advance. We just have to keep our names out of this and let these [white] people do the work for us by pushing how Trump’s racist ways will destroy….”
JE: “That’s all those white people are good for in my eyes. I couldn’t imagine even pretending to like that racist ass Trump even to get info on his events. I’ll be glad when we shut his ass down.”
DM: “With the support we have from Mrs. Lynch and the help we’ve got from Sam and others it won’t be hard to cause enough….”

The authorities seem to be taking the plan to disrupt the Republican Convention seriously.
As reported by Alice Speri for The Intercept, June 23, 2016, local police and federal agents from the FBI, DHS, and Secret Service are knocking on the doors of activists and community organizers in Cleveland asking about their plans for the Republican National Convention in July.
On June 29, 2016, Deray McKesson sort of confirmed the plan when he went public with warnings about “possible” protests at the DNC and RNC, as reported by USA Today.
In fact, a recent survey showed that as many as 67% of Democrats want Obama for a third term.

Operation “Summer of Chaos” exposed: Obama Admin, Soros, Black Lives Matter, plan to activate martial law before General Election revealed
10,000 bought and paid for BLM dissidents to create chaos at the Philadelphia Democratic National Convention in late July
By Shepard Ambellas - June 14, 2016
(INTELLIHUB) Black Lives Matter leader Deray McKesson had two of his email accounts hacked last Friday, along with his Twitter, according to reports.
Reports indicate that the perpetrators successfully hacked into several of McKesson’s accounts after posing as McKesson to a Verizon Wireless Tech Support operator in order to gain access and post a provocative Tweet which endorsed Donald J. Trump for the Presidential bid.
“At 10:31 a.m., an individual called Verizon posing as Mr. Mckesson and convinced a technician to change the unique SIM associated with the activist’s phone, allowing the hacker or hackers responsible to have his messages rerouted to a different device. The culprit then requested password reset codes for Mr. Mckesson’s Twitter and other internet accounts, and subsequently gained access by intercepting those codes when they were sent as text messages,” the Washington Times reported.
However, the mainline press made no mention of the real purpose for the hack, which was to obtain secret information about a George Soros and Obama Administration sponsored plot, an elaborate operation dubbed the “Summer of Chaos,” which is aimed at shutting down both the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention in order to trigger martial law nationwide, keeping President Barack H. Obama in the White House beyond his allotted two terms under National Security Presidential Directives.
Shockingly, in a private message purportedly obtained and released by the hackers, Samuel Sinyangwe, a Black Lives Matter activist, said that law enforcement officials “will not be ready for the type of crowds” that the group will be bringing which are designed to shutdown the convention and create “disruptions nationwide.”
The group plans to bring more than 10,000 people to create chaos July 18-21 in both Philadelphia and Cleveland, according to the leaked PMs.
To top it all off, the “Summer of Chaos” plan goes all the way up to the Obama Administration and even involves U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, according to leaked messages.
As you can see in the Tweets below, this operation goes all the way to the U.S. Department of Justice with mention of “Mrs. Lynch.”
https://www.intellihub.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/BLM_martial_law_3.jpg
The Obama Admin, in conjunction with Soros and the BLM movement, is pushing for martial law from the top down and plans to burn Trump publicly as a racist by the end of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in late July.
Additionally, Youtuber John Smith released a video containing leaked details of what may be planned or what officials are anticipating to happen by the year’s end, such as “sporadic isolated riots and civil disturbances.”
https://youtu.be/Q3W42VB9Eko
Smith’s information also alludes to the fact the the United Nations may even get involved on U.S. soil.
Additionally, Youtuber DAHB007 reported exactly how Deray McKesson’s accounts were successfully hacked:

Among Dallas Officers Killed, One Was a Father, Another a Newlywed
By Brian McBride and Gillian Mohney - ·July 8, 2016, 5:57 PM ET
One of the Dallas officers killed in an ambush-style attack overnight got married just two weeks ago to a fellow officer. Another was the father of a toddler daughter. A third had been a police officer in Michigan.
These and other details are emerging about the officers killed by sniper fire overnight during a protest in Dallas against police brutality. Five police officers were killed in the shooting, including a Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) officer.
At least three other transit officers who were injured in the shooting have also been identified.
Officer Brent Thompson, 43, was the city's first mass-transit officer killed in the line of duty since DART's formation in 1989. He joined the department in 2009, according to a statement released by the agency. He also served in the Marine Crops from 1991 to 1994, according to Marine Corps officials.
Thompson was a newlywed, according to the agency's chief, James Spiller. "I talked with him shortly after his marriage," he told ABC News. "He was a great officer, doing those things that we expect of police officers and this particular case doing what he was supposed to be doing — monitoring the protest as well as taking care of our customers at our transit center."
He had six children from a previous marriage, three grandchildren and one stepson, family told ABC News. In a statement, Thompson's children called him a "hero," and that he would joke that he was Batman because his initials spelled out B.A.T.
The "proud" father was able to braid daughter's hair like a professional, they said, and he would play football with his sons, they said, adding that they also considered him a dog whisperer because of how good he was with the family dachshund Draco.
"We will miss the peanut butter jars around the kitchen or making super stacked Oreos for afternoon snacks," they wrote.
Dallas Police Officer Patrick Zamarripa was also killed in the shooting last night. The father of two was a veteran who served three tours in Iraq before coming home to be a Dallas Police Officer.
His father, Rick Zamarripa, posted on Facebook, "My son is a police officer in Dallas he was working there the rally in downtown where my son was shot and killed by a sniper along with four other police officers ... Need prayers to get through this." He also posted a picture of his son apparently walking with his toddler daughter.
Officer Michael Krol was identified as one of the deceased by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office in Michigan, where worked before joining the Dallas Police Department. Krols mother told reporters today he loved his job.
He was "living his dream of being a police officer," she told reporters.
Michigan Governor Rick Snyder mourned Krol's death in a statement today.
"I was notified today that one of the fallen officers in Dallas is a Michigan native who previously worked in law enforcement in Southeast Michigan," Snyder said in a statement. "We didn’t need this tragedy to be brought home to feel its impact, but still it hurts more this way."
Sgt. Michael Smith, 55, was also confirmed to have died in the shooting. The Watermark Church, where Smith was a member, confirmed his death and posted pictures of the officer on its website. The Watermark Chruch Pastor Todd Wagner mourned Smith's death on Twitter.
"Thank you for serving us all Mike," Wagner wrote online.
Sr. Cpl. Lorne Ahrens has been confirmed as the fifth officer killed in the shooting.
Three other DART officers were injured, including Omar Cannon, 44; Misty McBride, 32; and Jesus Retana, 39.
Spiller said the injured officers were "doing great" and that one has been released from the hospital.
"We've just received an outpouring of support throughout the North Texas region, the state of Texas, throughout the United States, as well as looking at Canada and looking at London, England, from members of the police profession," he told ABC News. "We still have our heads held high, but we've taken a gut punch."
http://abcnews.go.com/US/officers-killed-dallas-identified/story?id=40426360
Spiller said that officers escorted Thompson's body to a funeral home.

Confirmed – Philando Castile Was an Armed Robbery Suspect – False Media Narrative Now Driving Cop Killings…
[I]Police officers in: Dallas, Tennessee, Missouri and Georgia have been Shot or killed in the past 24 hours as a result of a false narrative driven by the Black Lives Matter movement. It is important to get the truth out quickly.
Posted on July 8, 2016
The Falcon Heights, Minnesota police shooting of Philando Castile is based around an entirely false narrative. Castile and Ms. Diamond Reynolds (Facebook video uploader) were pulled over by police because Castile matched a BOLO Alert for an armed robbery suspect from four days prior.
Unfortunately, the false statements in the video – which have gone viral, and are being pushed by the mainstream media – have created a backlash against police officers.
Saint Anthony, MN, Police Officers Jeronimo Yanez and Joseph Kauser pulled over Mr. Castile and Ms. Reynolds because the driver, Philando Castile, matched the suspect profile in an armed robbery which occurred on July 2nd, at a convenience store, only a few blocks from where their car was pulled over.
The armed robbery occurred on July 2nd 7:30pm (Sat). The CCTV images were given to media and LEO by detectives on July 5th (Tuesday). A BOLO (Be On Look Out) alert was issued the same day, Tuesday July 5th. Philando Castile was pulled over on July 6th.
From the radio dispatch of Officer Jeronimo Yanez:
“I’m going to stop a car. I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over.”
“The two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery. The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ‘cause of the wide set nose.”
A minute and a half later, the recording captures the first report that there was a shooting. (link)
Ms. Diamond Reynolds narrates the now viral Facebook video with several false statements.
Reynolds claimed they were pulled over for a broken tail light, false.
Ms. Reynolds also claims her boyfriend, Castile, was holding a concealed carry permit for a firearm that was resting on his left thigh. This also appears to be false.
According to a question presented to the local county sheriff who oversees the Concealed Carry Permit process, Mr. Castile had never requested a concealed carry permit from their office:
https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2016/07/mn-shooting-16.jpg?w=640
Due to the rear facing camera option on the phone Ms. Reynolds was using, the uploaded video is a reversed mirror image – making it appear she was in the drivers side, and Castile was on the passenger side. However, that impression is incorrect, astile was driving the vehicle. The uploaded image is reversed by Facebook Livestream Video.
However, in part of the video it is possible to see a hand gun located on the thigh of Philando Castile. This also appears to be why Officer Yanez repeats to Ms. Reynolds not to reach toward her boyfriend:
https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2016/07/mn-shooting-12.png?w=601&h=419
This hand gun also appears to be the same type of hand gun used in the Convenience Store Armed robbery four days earlier:
https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2016/07/suspect-mn-1.jpg?w=640&h=360
In addition, Mr. Castile also matched the physical description of the suspect as given by eye witnesses:
[…] The other suspect was described as a black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks, who wore tan pants, tan shoes with white soles, a green jacket, a green baseball cap and glasses, the release says. He also had some of his hair pulled into a bun through the strap on the back of his hat and had a small mustache and facial hair on his chin. (link)
Similar clothes as noted on the robbery suspect are also noted in the Facebook images of Mr. Castile. However, whether Mr. Castile is actually the person who committed the armed robbery is essentially a moot point. Officer Jeronimo Yanez gave the reason for the stop to his dispatcher as a possible ID on an “armed robbery suspect”.
It is with that “armed robbery suspect” perspective the approach toward the vehicle was made.
Mr. Castile, fitting the physical description, being in the same geography, and then having a handgun under his thigh only made the suspicions gain exponential weight.
Any behaviors or sudden movements by Mr. Castile would only increase the anxiety and increase his perception as a threat.
Given that police around the country are being targeted based on an entirely false premise, it is critical the truth behind the entire incident be revealed with the same veracity as the MSM narrative. Unfortunately, lies travel around the world twice – before the truth even has time to put its boots on.

Military Veterans show why the Sterling shooting was justified.

Here’s Why The Officers Who Shot Alton Sterling Won’t Be Charged With A Crime
Posted at 9:37 am on July 6, 2016 by Bob Owens
Two white Baton Rouge police officers are under fire on social media this morning for shooting a black man with a gun in an incident partially caught on shaky handheld video.
According to The Advocate, police responded after an anonymous caller claimed that a large black man in a red shirt threatened him with a gun.
The suspect confronted by officers, Alton Sterling, would not comply with officers and the incident escalated into a shooting.
East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner William “Beau” Clark said the initial results of an autopsy performed Tuesday show Sterling died due to a homicide and suffered multiple — meaning more than two — gunshot wounds to the chest and back.
A 48-second cellphone video captured by a bystander — which circulated at a protest about the shooting later in the day — shows an officer firing at least one round into a man’s chest outside what appears to be the Triple S store, followed by the sound of at least four more shots as the camera veers away.
“Get on the ground! Get on the ground!” an officer is heard yelling in the beginning of the clip.
Two officers are seen wrangling a heavy-set man in a red shirt against a silver sedan before pulling him to the ground on his back.
One officer is seen pulling the man’s left arm down while he pressed down on the man’s chest. The man’s right arm is not visible in the video.
“He’s got a gun! Gun,” an officer says, prompting the lawman closest to the camera to draw an object from his holster.
“You f*****g move, I swear to God,” says an officer, before the second officer, farther from the viewer, is seen pointing a weapon down at the man’s chest.
There’s a flash from that officer’s weapon, accompanied by the sound of shots.
“They shot him?” a man’s harried voice, close to the microphone, says in the video. “Yes!” a weeping woman replies.
Let’s go to the videotape.
WARNING : Graphic Images
http://youtu.be/jBZPCDqymyo
The 48-second video—what we can see of it, that is—is very low quality, and shot from inside a vehicle by a person who can’t hold it steady and pulls it away twice in critical moments.
The encounter between Sterling and the officers is already underway by the time the video starts with Sterling standing in front a silver car and the two officers immediately backing away from him. One officer is seen drawing a taser from his belt and then the camera turns away.
You can hear the pop of a taser firing, and an officer yelling, “get on the ground!” as the distinctive crackle of the taser being discharged sounds. There is a second taser pop, and someone yells, “what the f*ck are you doing?”
1-taser
Sterling continues to refuse to listen to officer commands, and the taser is clearly not having the desired effect when the camera finally returns to film the encounter instead of the floorboard of the car.
The officer closest to the camera operator (to Sterling’s left) then decides to take him down physically, and goes to tackle him.
They officer drives Sterling forward until they hit what appears to be a second car, gets a grip on the larger suspect, and spins him around and throws him down on the hood of the silver car before they fall to the ground. The tackling officer comes to rest on top of Sterling; the officer with the taser quickly moves in to try to secure Sterling’s left arm.
Sterling appears to be offering passive non-compliance to the officers during what we’ve seen of the encounter up until this point. He’s clearly refusing to listen to either officer, but he did not try to run away or throw punches. He clearly starts offering resistance, however when the officers attempted to gain control over his arms. The “taser” officer is clearly working very hard and having to use both arms to try to bring Sterling’s left arm under control.
Of very real importance is the fact that we can’t see Sterling’s right arm, due to a combination of the low-quality camera, shaky camerawork, and the camera angle/position of Sterling in relation to the front bumper, which he’s right up against and perhaps slighting under. The “tackle” officer can barely be seen as he seeks control of Sterling’s body and right arm.
Please keep in mind that officers tend to key on two things: overall suspect demeanor and their hands. Sterling is clearly non-compliant, his passive non-compliance is now turning into active resistance.
“He’s Got A Gun!”
“Tackle” officer is still mostly obscured as he seeks to control Sterling’s right arm. “Taser” officer has managed to pin Sterling’s left arm under his knees. Sterling continues trying to raise his head and upper body as he resists. One of the officers, presumably, “Tackle,” yells, “He’s got a gun!”
“Taser,” who has Sterling’s left arm pinned under his knees, immediately grabs his gun as shown in the screen capture above. He then points the gun at Sterling’s chest in an awkward but reasonable effective retention position where he can fire the gun, but where Sterling can’t easily jostle or control it, as shown below.
One of the officers—it’s impossible to tell which—yells a warning. “Hey bra! You f*cking move, I swear to God.” It’s clearly a warning that the officers, who have their guns on Sterling, who is now known to be armed and actively resisting arrest, and are preparing to use them if he doesn’t immediately comply with officer commands.
Sterling does not obviously move at this moment, but we then hear the first shot fired and our cameraperson once again yanks the camera away.
There are more shots, then yelling inside the car from people who are incredulous that the just saw the shooting before the video ends.
A firearm was then recovered from Sterling’s body, who was dead at the scene.

( continued .. )
Critics have been quick to label the Sterling shooting a “murder” by police officers.
It was pretty clearly nothing of the sort if you understand what that word means in either a broad moral sense or a much more refined and specific legal sense of first degree murder or second degree murder under Louisiana law. Based purely on the video alone, it’s also not possible to substantiate the lesser homicide charges of manslaughter or negligent homicide, either.
I’d also note that it’s very apparent that people are misconstruing the coroner’s imprecise notation that Sterling had wounds to the “chest and back.” It’s clearly evidence that Sterling could not have been shot in the back as he was laying on his back with two officers on top of him, attempting to pin him to the ground. The coroner is describing pass-throughs, where the officers fired bullets into Sterling’s chest that completely penetrated his body and exited his back, which is a relatively common event with duty ammunition.
Alton Sterling was the suspect in a “man with a gun” call who was first passively non-compliant and then was actively resisting officers when a firearm was located on his person and officers felt compelled to draw their weapons as he struggled with them.
You’re very unlikely to find any prosecutor or grand jury who is going to second-guess officers under these conditions.
http://bearingarms.com/bob-o/2016/07/06/officers-shot-alton-sterling-wont-charged-crime/
Update: A second video of the incident has been uncovered, and journalist Phillippe Berry has uncovered a version of this film in 720 that strongly suggests that Alton Sterling’s right hand was not tied up in any way at all.

Gunman in Dallas Police Headquarters Shooting Confirmed Dead
Officers engaged in standoff in Hutchins after pursuit; no injuries reported
By Kevin Young
June 13, 2015.
Dallas police have confirmed the death of the gunman who fired automatic weapons at officers outside Dallas Police Department headquarters before engaging in a standoff from inside an armored vehicle Saturday morning.
Dallas Police Chief David Brown said they think one gunman — later identified as 35-year-old James Boulware — managed to fire shots at multiple locations, despite witness reports of as many as four shooters.
The shootout shattered multiple windows at the headquarters building near the department's information desk. Bullets also pierced the casing surrounding an old helicopter on display in the museum inside. "I believe we're very blessed officers survived this ordeal," Brown said.
Chase, Standoff in Armored Vehicle
After the shooting, Boulware used an armored vehicle to ram a police vehicle before leading officers on a pursuit south on Interstate 45.
The chase culminated in a standoff at a Jack in the Box parking lot along I-45 near Interstate 20 in Hutchins beginning at about 1 a.m. I-45 was shut down and Dallas SWAT was deployed.
Boulware called 911 and left a long rant and Dallas Police Department Chief David Brown said negotiators called that phone number. Talks continuously broke down when he became agitated and ranted angrily
"The suspect has told our negotiators that we took his child and we accused him of being a terrorist and that he's going to blow us up," Dallas Police Department Chief David Brown said.
Police said Boulware told them he had explosives in the van, which appeared to be outfitted with gun ports in the sides.
The vehicle's engine continued to run until snipers shot at the engine block, according to police. At 5:07 a.m., snipers shot through the vehicle's windshield, possibly kiling Boulware said police.
Officers would not approach the gunman's vehicle until bomb technicians confirmed it was clear. "Bomb technicians are deploying robots and plan to detonate specific areas around the van to ensure its not ready to explode," Brown said.
At about 9:30 a.m., police began shooting out the windshield of the vehicle with a .50-caliber gun.
At 11:50 a.m., Chopper 5 heard two explosions and saw a robot near the vehicle's passenger side. Dallas Police Department spokesman Major Max Geron said authorities then found two additional pipe bombs inside the vehicle.
Geron confirmed the gunman's death at about 12:50 p.m. He was identified just after 2 p.m.
While trying to detonate a nearby suspcious device just after 1:30 p.m., the van caught fire, Geron said.
Explosive Devices at Dallas Police Headquarters
Police said four bags were discovered in front of Dallas police headquarters shortly after 4 a.m. As a robot picked up the first bag at 4:30 a.m., it exploded.
Police investigated the other three bags and said they found an additional package under a police truck in the parking lot of Dallas Police Headquarters. All seven patrol stations have since been searched and cleared of suspicious packages, Brown said.
No injuries have been reported, according to Dallas police Maj. Max Geron.
Forensic units effectively shut down areas surrounding both scenes to collect evidence Saturday afternoon. As a precaution, police evacuated people who live at the Southside on Lamar apartment complex near the headquarters on South Lamar.
Dallas police coordinated with the Mesquite Police Department's bomb squad at Boulware's last known address, according to Brown. ATF agents arrested a man at the Mesquite home at about 11 a.m.

The Group That Inspired The Dallas Police Shootings Is Coming To Baton Rouge To Lynch Cops
“Dr.” MauriceIm-Lei Millere likes to call for killing white people.
July 9, 2016
Independent Journal Review published an article today about some of the groups the Dallas Police shooter was involved with on Facebook. One of those groups, the African-American Defense League, is going to be paying Baton Rouge a visit on Monday.
http://29wyu31qhvsjwj4mf2oi5lg1.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/AADL1.jpg
Yeah, these people are not coming to calm things down. They’re coming to Baton Rouge to try and stir up a riot. They want to lynch the two police officers who shot Alton Sterling. That’s not justice.
Mauricelm-Lei Millere, an advi*sor to the New Black Pan*ther Party(NBPP), is using social media to call for the death of the police offi*cer who shot Michael Brown and for vio*lence against white peo*ple in gen*eral, inflam*ing the already tense sit*u*a*tion in Fer*gu*son, Mis*souri.
On Sep*tem*ber 15, Millere, who is cur*rently in Fer*gu*son, posted an image of Offi*cer Dar*ren Wil*son on Face*book and wrote, “When you find Dar*ren Wil*son you know what to do! Who*ever finds him knows what must be done! Take every*thing that he took from Mike Brown.”
The day before, Millere posted on Face*book that Wil*son is “wanted Dead or Alive!” echo*ing calls made by the NBPP, the largest orga*nized anti-Semitic and racist Black mil*i*tant group in the coun*try, for the “dead or alive” cap*ture of George Zim*mer*man, the man who, in Feb*ru*ary 2012, shot and killed Trayvon Martin.
Millere also called for vio*lence against Mar*tin Baker, an African-American con*gres*sional can*di*date who pub*licly sup*ported due process for Dar*ren Wil*son. On Sep*tem*ber 11, Millere wrote that Baker “must be caught, beat, drug, and whipped to the point of see*ing the light for sup*port*ing white racist mur*derer Dar*ren Wilson…We must phys*i*cally beat this jig*ga*boo…” Later that day, Millere com*mented on his post, which included a photo of Baker: “Get a good look at this a**h**e. Find him, detain him, beat him, and await fur*ther instructions.”
Millere’s clown show organization has only 163 likes on Facebook, but he’s reaching out to grow his base. In another post, Millere says it’s time to come to Louisiana to “hold a barbeque” and “sprinkle Pigs Blood.”
Millere also has something against firefighters too. He calls them on the same side as the police and wants to kill them too.
Let’s hope this turns out to be a whole lot of nothing in the end.

Milo Yiannopoulos explains why “black lives don’t matter to ‘Black Lives Matter'”
July 7, 2016
Milo Yiannopoulos spoke at the University of California Irvine last month, as part of “The Dangerous Fag got Tour.” On this night, a major part of his talk was dedicated to exposing Black Lives Matter and how they aren’t actually doing much to save black lives.
Here are the 5 most important Facts he pointed out:
1. “It would take 40 years worth of blacks killed by cops to equal the number of black killed by other blacks in one year”
2. “Less than 400 people a year are killed by cops, 61% of them are white. 32% are black”
3. “Black males are 58% of those killed by justifiable self defense…75% of those are by other blacks.”
4. “Blacks are 27% more likely to attacks whites than vice versa… 8 times more likely to attack hispanics”
5. “90% of murdered black die at the hands of other blacks.”

George W. Bush’s Speech at Dallas Officers Memorial is All Class
Former President George W. Bush joined Barack Obama and Joe Biden at the memorial for the five slain police officers in Dallas.
As usual, Dubya was all class.
He noted:
Most of us imagine we’d risk lives to protect love ones: Those in uniform assume that risk for the safety of strangers
"Today the nation grieves, but those of us who love Dallas and call it home have had 5 deaths in the family"
true leader.
The officers who died defending the citizens of their city will never be forgotten, while racist shooter Micah X. Johnson will enter Hell and not be remembered as a martyr.
If Obama cared about this country, he’d take a stand against Black Lives Matter.
But if he did that, he’d be an outcast.
George, you are missed.
RIP to the cops who paid the ultimate sacrifice due to perceived racism against black males.
God Bless, America.

Obama HIJACKS Dallas memorial with sick message…
Written by Michele Hickford, Editor-in-Chief on July 12, 2016
After former President George W. Bush delivered elegant, heartfelt commentary and words of sympathy for the five Dallas police officers brutally assassinated last week at a memorial in Dallas today, it was our current Dear Leader’s turn.
He spent the first few moments describing each of the victims, providing details about their lives and their families.
And then he pivoted.
Not surprisingly, President Obama used this “bully pulpit” to return to his favorite themes of racism, discrimination and police brutality.
At one point, it really felt as though he was justifying the Dallas attack.
“If we are to honor these five outstanding officers, then we will have to act on the truths that we know… we’re going to have to be honest with each other and ourselves…
We…know that centuries of racial discrimination and slavery and subjugation and Jim Crow, they didn’t simply vanish at the end of lawful segregation. They didn’t just stop when Dr. King made a speech…
“But America, we know that bias remains. WE know it. Whether you are black or white or… we have all seen this bigotry in our own lives at some point… if we’re honest, perhaps we’ve heard prejudice in our own heads… we know that. And while some suffer far more under racism’s burden, some feel to a far greater extent discrimination…none of us is entirely innocent. No institution is entirely immune. And that includes our police departments. We know this,
Study after study shows that whites and people of color experience the criminal justice system differently… when moms and dads… still fear that something terrible may happen when their child walks out the door… kids being stupid.. .might end in tragedy… more than 50 years after the passage of the civil rights act, we cannot simply dismiss those engaged in peaceful protests as troublemakers, or paranoid. As a symptom of political correctness, or reverse racism.
“To have your experience denied like that… again and again and again, it hurts. Surely we can see that. All of us.
So we’re ALL guilty for the deaths of those policemen in Texas. All of us. We might have well as pulled the trigger. Because we’re all racists.
http://www.allenbwest.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/shapiro.jpg
And then – remember he was speaking in Dallas, at a memorial for five slain officers in Dallas — Obama actually eulogized the two men shot last week in Minnesota and Louisiana, Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, saying , “Even those who dislike the phrase Black Lives Matter should be able to relate to stories about Alton Sterling, who always cooked enough for everyone, or Philando Castile, a gentle soul, “Mr. Rogers with dreadlocks.”
Never mind the fact that Sterling was also a registered sex offender with a 20-year rap sheet and Castile may have been a suspect in an armed robbery.
Many folks seem to feel this was just the finest speech President Obama has ever given. But we’ll just leave you with this commentary from our side of the aisle.
http://www.allenbwest.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/shapiro2.jpg
Mr. Rogers with dreadlocks? Please tell me President Obama did not say that.

i watched the memorial speeches until i started to get nauseous because the first words out of obama's mouth was:
"I'm so glad I met Michelle first, because she loves Stevie Wonder" where he got laughs and he appeared to be proud of himself. comedy hour or a memorial service? he also said "we are not as divided as we seem". what planet is he living on? he spent more time talking about gun control, those people who won't do as he wants, global warming, how he feels as a black man....oh and by the way, these 5 dead dallas officers, brave etc. was this a memorial service or a platform or pulpit for the obama agenda. it was the complete opposite of the police chief and george bush who showed that they have hearts, feelings, love of their city, state, country. 5 lives were lost leaving behind friends and family who will live with these scars their whole life. i read the article where the 2 year old girl saw her father for the last time and when being taken away cried da da ..da da. it still brings tears to my eyes, pain in my heart even though i do not know those who sacrificed their lives from their city, their state and their country.
PS anyone with a law degree should know that in this country a person is innocent until proven guilty!

Black Lives Matter block highway when ambulance tries to come through, and THEN…
Written by Matt Palumbo on July 13, 2016
http://www.allenbwest.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/highway-300x180.jpg
Memo to Black Lives Matter: Blocking off highways isn’t just pointless. It isn’t just a waste of time for citizens who have nothing to do with what you’re protesting. It isn’t just going to turn more people against your cause.
It’s dangerous.
It was only a matter of time before they blocked an ambulance from getting through, and just the other day, they almost killed a kid. Did his life matter too?
HotAir reports: http://www.foxcarolina.com/story/32421175/family-with-sick-child-was-stuck-on-bridge-during-rally?sf30814183=1
The local Fox affiliate in Memphis reported on the story which features the heroic efforts of a paramedic who managed, after nearly 30 minutes of delay, to get the child the care they needed:
The Memphis Black Lives Matter rally shut down the I-40 bridge Sunday night with hundreds of protesters refusing to leave. Traffic could not go across, but paramedic Bobby Harrell with Crittenden EMS was determined to get to a child who was stuck on the bridge with his family.
“We received a call there was a child needing medical attention stuck in traffic up on the bridge and due to the protest going on the bridge the family was not able to get through traffic to get him to Le Bonheur,” Harrell said.
A photo shows parents handing the child off to paramedics on the bridge.
“The sheriff’s department had to escort us up the wrong way of the interstate to the child,” he said.
Harrell said after he had the very sick child in the ambulance, the driver had to go 25 minutes out of the way.
“We had to turn around and come back to West Memphis and cross over at MLK to get over to 55.”
http://youtu.be/RAg67adwJUY
Did you catch that? They crossed over at “MLK” to get the sick child to the hospital. Martin Luther King Blvd. One wonders how Dr. King would react knowing that BLM selfishly prevented a young child from getting medical care in the name of their race-based political cause.
Even “peaceful” protests can cause potentially life-threatening events.

I was at the garage yesterday having my car worked on, when this service came on the tv. I could only hear bits and pieces of it, but def. heard him make the comment about him being glad he met Michelle first. I thought that was kind of tacky considering the situation. The more I heard of his speech, the more I thought to myself "Is this a memorial service or political event??"
He should have just stayed home. (Which is probably what he wanted anyhow.)
Bush's speech was much more sympathetic and heartfelt.

In addition, Mr. Castile also matched the physical description of the suspect as given by eye witnesses:
[…] The other suspect was described as a black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks, who wore tan pants, tan shoes with white soles, a green jacket, a green baseball cap and glasses, the release says. He also had some of his hair pulled into a bun through the strap on the back of his hat and had a small mustache and facial hair on his chin. (link)
Similar clothes as noted on the robbery suspect are also noted in the Facebook images of Mr. Castile. New Evidence Rocks Castile Shooting, Lavish Reynolds’ Mom’s Shocking 5 Words
Posted on July 13, 2016 by Rebecca Diserio
As the mainstream media rushes to believe Philando Castile’s girlfriend Lavish “Diamond” Reynolds and her account that Officer Jeronimo Yanez shot Castile for no reason, repeated reports prove she is a fraud. Now, police have confirmed that Reynolds is looking mighty guilty of a crime, and her own mother had five shocking words that blow this case wide open.
The shooting of Philando Castile by a St. Paul, Minnesota police officer has sparked nationwide protests after Castile’s girlfriend live-streamed a video from the scene, starting right after Castile was shot. Lavish Reynolds narrated her version of events, claiming Officer Yanez opened fire for no reason at all.
Now, new evidence is completely shredding Reynolds’ version of the events, proving she is a fraud and liar. New high-resolution photos confirm Philando Castile had a gun on his lap when Officer Yanez opened fire. Newly obtained photos show a gun at the scene on the street. Reynolds’ original video’s sound has also been enhanced, making the officer’s words following the shooting clearer.
Philando Castile had a gun on his lap, and following the shooting, Officer Yanez said to Reynolds, “Keep your hands where I can see them,” and, “I told him not to reach for it, I told him to get his hands off of it.”
Additionally, some higher resolution images from initial media on scene are supporting the outline provided by Officer Yanez attorney that Yanez was reacting to Philando Castile displaying a handgun toward Yanez. [via Conservative Treehouse]

Close-up high-resolution crime scene photo shows marker #6 with the gun.
Damning personal videos of Lavish Reynolds were obtained by NewsMax’s Dennis Michael Lynch, who did an in-depth investigation into her claims and her life. Lynch says, “The media is basically going to find this police officer guilty, he is never going to get a fair shot unless people like yours truly brings out the real facts here.”
Lynch went on to show Reynolds’ own mother answering a question about why her daughter’s first instinct was to so calmly record live as her boyfriend is bleeding out. Her mother said, “Diamond is a narcissistic Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat junkie.”
The motive behind Lavish Reynolds’ so calmly live-streaming a false narrative is that she was simply covering her own ass. Police have linked the tax stamp on the Newport cigarettes Reynolds had in her possession on another video to the robbery of a convenience store.
It was that robbery that led police to pull Castile over in the first place because he matched the BOLO (Be On Look Out) alert of the suspect wanted by police. Reynolds is being investigated as a possible accomplice.
Will Officer Yanez’s life and career be ruined by this drug addicted abusive mother? Well, if you listen to Barack Obama, Castile and Reynolds were victims of a racist cop. He even had the bad taste to mention Alton Sterling and Philando Castile as victims at the Dallas Memorial for the five fallen heroes, where his speech was more of a Black Lives Matter rally call.
Lavish Reynolds continues to rake in the cash with her “GoFundMe” account as duped Americans have sent her over $54,000 so far. As Dennis Michael Lynch points out, unless we expose the truth about Reynolds, these officers are going to be tried and convicted in the court of public opinion.
Black Lives Matter will continue to call for protests that turn deadly under the guise that these men were victims, and good people will continue to get killed all because of these lies the media is feeding Americans. Don’t let that happen. We must share all information so the truth doesn’t get buried by Obama’s henchmen, who want civil unrest across the country.

Based on this statistic, black males are 2.5 times more killed than white male if you figure in the total of black population vs white population so the numbers don't mean much. Having said that, the reason for that is not racism, it's thugs, poor parenting, drugs, poor education and so on which is more common in the black community vs whites. That goes back to less opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and absent fathers, drugs and so on. The problem is so much more than racism and we expect way too much from our police. Black lives matter should focus on their communities and black on black crime.

Do Shooting Lies Matter?
The investigation into the Falcon Heights, MN officer-involved shooting of Philando Castile has taken a sharp turn from the story we first heard in the video his girlfriend shot immediately following the incident.
Of her video, Reynolds said, “I wanted everyone in the world to know that no matter how much the police tamper with evidence, how much they stick together … I wanted to put it on Facebook and go viral so that the people could see. I wanted the people to determine who is right and who is wrong. The only thing you guys didn’t see was when he shot. If I would have moved while that gun was out, he would have shot me, too. I chose to allow the video to go live 10 seconds before my phone died because I wanted everyone in the world to see what the police do and how they roll.”
But as they say, there are three sides to every story. And the truth always finds a way to reveal itself.
When Castile’s girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, began filming inside the car after he was shot by a police officer, she stated the vehicle had been pulled over for a ‘broken tail light’.
However, witnesses on the scene began posting pictures of Castile’s vehicle with both tail lights operable:
There were also allegations that the police left Castile to die in his vehicle after shooting him ‘for no reason’, but amateur video taken on the scene shows officers performing CPR on him in an effort to save his life.
But the most damning evidence against Reynolds assertion Castile was shot ‘for a busted tail light’ is the police scanner audio just released by KARE 11.
According to the scanner recording, when officers saw Castile drive by, they identified that he fit the profile of a suspect in an armed robbery in the area just days before.
St. Anthony Police Department issued a press release regarding an armed robbery at the Super USA store in the 2400 block of Larpenteur Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on July 2nd. The suspects, two armed black men, made off with cash from the register and cartons of Newport cigarettes. (which happens to be the brand of cigarettes in Reynolds’ hand as she addressed reporters on July 7, the same picture featured at the top of this article)
One suspect was described as a black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks, who wore tan pants, tan shoes with white soles, a green jacket, a green baseball cap and glasses, the release says. He also had some of his hair pulled into a bun through the strap on the back of his hat and had a small mustache and facial hair on his chin, according to the press release.
The scanner recording identifies the reason Castile was pulled over that day:
http://interactive.tegna-media.com/video/embed/embed.html?id=2274065&type=video&title=Police%20scanner%20audio&site=89&playerid=6918249996581&dfpid=32805352&dfpposition=Video_prestream_external§ion=home
The officer clearly states, “I’m going to stop a car. I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over.”
“The two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery. The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ‘cause of the wide set nose,” the officer on the recording confirms.
Approximately a minute and a half later, comes the first report that there was a shooting.
Officer: “Shots fired Larpenteur and Fry.”
Dispatch: “Copy you just heard it? … You just heard the shots fired?”
Officer: (screaming) “Code 3! Shots fired.”
Dispatch: “Copy shots fired Larpenteur and Fry. Do you need medics?”
Officer: “Code 3!”
Dispatch: “Copy. Medics — code 3 to Larpenteur and Fry.”
Officer: “One adult female taken into custody. Driver at gunpoint.”
An attorney for the police officer who shot and killed Castile made a statement on behalf of his client today, saying, “The shooting had nothing to do with race and everything to do with the presence of that gun,” and noting that the officer himself is Latino.
Furthermore, Attorney Thomas Kelly stated that Castile “was not following the directions of the police officer,”, but he declined to provide further detail.
“He’s very distressed about this incident, and he feels badly for the family of Philando Castile,” Kelly said. “It’s a tragic incident.”
The next issue is that of Castile’s concealed carry permit.
On her video, Reynolds states:
“I got … the Roseville Police got me handcuffed, my phone is about to die. I’m on Larpenteur and Fry and the Roseville Police Department just shot my boyfriend. They shot him four times. He has a license to carry. We had a busted tail light. And we had some weed in the car that’s about it.”
Immediately, the gun control movement pounced on… who else? The NRA.

‘Black Lives Matter’ Supporters, Islamists Celebrate Murder of Baton Rouge Cops
"Armed thugs meet political consequences"
Paul Joseph Watson - July 17, 2016
‘Black Lives Matter’ supporters and Islamists are already celebrating the murder of at least three police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Twitter user ‘Marland X’ – whose profile suggests he is a member or supporter of the New Black Panther Party – tweeted his glee at the deaths within an hour of the news breaking.
“Armed thugs meet political consequences” in #BatonRouge,” he tweeted along with the hashtags “#BlackLivesMatter,” “#PigsInABlanket” and “#BLM.”
The tweet was subsequently deleted, but the Internet never forgets. In his profile description, ‘Marland’ expresses affinity with the New Black Panthers, which just announced that it has formed a chapter in Baton Rouge.
Meanwhile, an Islamist also celebrated the murders, tweeting, “Today 3 pigs and the next time it will be a dozen InShahAlla.”

Breaking: Three Cops Dead after Ambush in Baton Rouge
Other officers shot in critical condition...
Infowars.com - July 17, 2016
At least two Baton Rouge police officers and one East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputy shot this morning have died, according to multiple reports.
“The remaining officers are hospitalized in critical condition,” CNN reports.
According to witness accounts, the incident began Sunday morning when a man who was dressed in black and had his face covered began “shooting indiscriminately when he walked out between a convenience store and car wash across from Hammond Air Plaza,” near the Baton Rouge Police Department.
RT reports up to eight police officers have been shot.
Reports claim the gunman is still at large and a manhunt is currently underway.
The Baton Rouge mayor’s office has issued an advisory telling residents to stay home and off the streets, tweets a reporter with The Advocate.
An FBI alert issued to Louisiana law enforcement earlier this month warned of the possibility of riots and violence against officers in Baton Rouge and Shreveport, Louisiana, however the dates specified in the memo, obtained by Judicial Watch, included July 8 through July 10.
Baton Rouge police did, however, uncover a plot that weekend concerning a group of men who obtained weapons with which to attack law enforcement. Three out of four suspects were arrested, with one remaining at large.
Just yesterday, protesters gathered outside police headquarters in Baton Rouge demonstrating against the police shooting death of resident Alton Sterling, whose funeral took place Friday.

Look what was formed yesterday in Baton Rouge before deadly officer involved shooting
Heisenberg 23 mins ago
A new Chapter for the Black Panthers was formed yesterday in Baton Rouge. This group may or may not be related to the shooting leaving three officers dead.
Wbrz reported: BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge residents gathered Saturday afternoon to form the newest chapter of the New Black Panther Party.
The New Black Panthers arrived in Baton Rouge last Saturday to protest the officer-involved shooting death of 37-year-old Alton Sterling. Two videos of the shooting sparked national outcry and protests across Baton Rouge.
Jerald Justice said the group was approached by local residents like Edwin Smith to help establish a Baton Rouge chapter.
“It is time for new leadership and a new organization to step forward in Baton Rouge,” Smith said. “I feel like the New Black Panther Party is the organization that can bring new leadership to Baton Rouge.”

As tragedy unfolds yet again this morning with three police killed and three more wounded in a firefight in Baton Rouge, everybody with half a brain is wondering when it will be socially acceptable to refer to Black Lives Matter, the group that advocates for killing cops, as a radical terrorist hate group.
Authorities are ordering people in the vicinity to stay home.

Upon hearing this news, that a BLM sympathizer or sympathizers have taken the lives of three more cops, some Black Lives Matter proponents were besides themselves with joy, and I can’t be any more disgusted. This proves that their motives are anything but noble, and resemble the same sort of virulent, racist, and violent rhetoric that Obama enables with his ridiculous speeches, that ultimately leads to good police officers not going home to their families at night.

President Obama on Sunday condemned the shooting in Baton Rouge that left three police officers dead and three more injured.
President Obama on Sunday condemned the shooting in Baton Rouge that left three police officers dead and three more injured.
"For the second time in two weeks, police officers who put their lives on the line for ours every day were doing their job when they were killed in a cowardly and reprehensible assault," Obama said in a statement.
"These are attacks on public servants, on the rule of law, and on civilized society, and they have to stop."
The shooting happened just before 9 a.m., less than one mile from police headquarters, amid spiraling tensions across the city between police and the black community.
It follows the deaths of five Dallas police officers earlier this month.
Obama said he's offered the support of the federal government and pledged: "Justice will be done."
"We may not yet know the motives for this attack, but I want to be clear: there is no justification for violence against law enforcement. None. These attacks are the work of cowards who speak for no one," Obama said.
"They right no wrongs. They advance no causes. The officers in Baton Rouge; the officers in Dallas – they were our fellow Americans, part of our community, part of our country, with people who loved and needed them, and who need us now – all of us – to be at our best."
Attorney General Loretta Lynch also released a statement, saying, "Agents from the FBI and ATF are on the scene, and the Department of Justice will make available victim services and federal funding support, and will provide investigative assistance to the fullest extent possible.
“For the second time in two weeks, multiple law enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty. There is no place in the United States for such appalling violence, and I condemn these acts in the strongest possible terms. I pledge the full support of the Department of Justice as the investigation unfolds."
According to the White House, the president spoke with the governor and the mayor of Baton Rouge and offered whatever assistance they needed from the federal government.

when will this government make it a crime to call for the death of police officers????????????? It should also be a crime for any government person who is either employed or elected to show any support for any organization or individual who supports in any way these groups. This is not trying to stop freedom of speech but stopping people who want to take away the lives of those who serve those in america to keep them safe. It is a hate crime in my eyes. if anyone said death to our pres, congressman etc, they would be arrested so why can't those who call for the death of the police treated in the same way???? if a person yells jump to a person threatening to jump off a building and commit suicide, that yeller will get arrested. do those who protest want to be treated equally? then arrest them for inciting others to commit murder!

BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Deputy Bruce Simmons was released from the hospital Thursday and arrived home to a hero's welcome from neighbors, law enforcement and area firefighters.
Simmons survived an ambush on Baton Rouge Police and other sheriff's deputies Sunday. A gunman killed three officers and injured three others, including Simmons, near the corner of Airline Highway and I-12.
Simmons was shot during the attack and required two surgeries to repair a shattered humerus.
A picture released by the hospital showed Simmons being greeted by supporters and hospital staff as he left Baton Rouge General Thursday afternoon. Not long after, the sheriff's office live-streamed Simmons' arrival at his home in Greenwell Springs.
Another deputy injured during the shooting, Nick Tullier, remains in the hospital in critical condition. Tullier sustained gunshot wounds to the torso and head.
Funerals for the deceased officers are Friday, Saturday and Monday.

“….To assign the actions of one person to an entire movement [or all the police] is dangerous and irresponsible…”
(I added the part in brackets.)
I agree.
The statement above is from a spokesperson in Black Lives Matter and in response to the recent killings (murders) in Dallas of those innocent police officers. This statement was issued because some – in social media – were blaming ALL the participants in Black Lives Matter for the killings of these police. That was wrong. It was one person who murdered those police. The others were peacefully protesting, exercising their Constitutional right. They did not go to that march with the intent of killing the police (and they did not do it.)
This statement from the spokesperson should be applied to ALL controversy – not just Black Lives Matter.
In every group, there is a bad apple or maybe even a few bad apples. I am sure in your own groups or clubs or places of employment you have a bad apple or bad apples – people doing things that are wrong. With the exception of a hate group, where all have aligned for the single purpose of hate, it is wrong to criticize everyone in the group for the bad behavior, or even criminal behavior of another.
So..
Quit demonizing all police officers for a bad apple – someone who uses excessive force, especially lethal excessive force. 99.9999% of the police are trying to protect you and are doing a good job at their own risk.
Likewise, quit demonizing all those in Black Lives Matter who are peacefully protesting (protected by the First Amendment) and encouraging others to protest peacefully (also protected by the First Amendment.)
When you demonize everyone in a group, you are taking sides, fulfilling your own agenda.
At the risk of getting jumped for hijacking the term (and this may be politically incorrect), “Facts Matter – just taking sides is wrong.”

Pandora Stock Tanks after Endorsing Black Lives Matter
By Officer Blue On July 24, 2016
On July 8th, online music service Pandora tweeted a message of support endorsing Black Lives Matter. The employees of the company were likely unaware that Black Lives Matter isn’t exactly popular outside of far left groups.
Their image created a huge backlash online.
The message was sent immediately following the terrorist attack against law enforcement in Dallas. As I’m sure you can imagine, the whole thing didn’t go over well with a whole lot of people.
Pandora has been in dire straights lately, and now they just lost a huge number of users, following their support for Black Lives Matter,
Pacific Crest’s Andy Hargreaves sent a note to clients on Thursday which read:
“Pandora’s core operating leverage has deteriorated and we see little prospect for meaningful profits in on-demand. While M&A is possible, we do not view it as likely at the current valuation. We believe economics in Pandora’s core radio business have been impaired and we do not see meaningful potential for profitability in its push to on demand. We do not recommend owning P.”
Pandora is facing its own downfall, and maybe they thought that a tweet supporting Black Lives Matter could draw people away from competitor TIDAL, which is owned by well-known Black Lives Matter supporters such as Alicia Keys, Jay Z, Beyonce, Kanye West, and more. Pandora’s message is unlikely to draw any new subscribers and they just upset millions of law enforcement supporters.
Let’s spread the word that Pandora is supporting the hate group of Black Lives Matter, and let the market tell them what they think.

Feds seal Alton Sterling autopsy results
Tuesday, August 2nd 2016
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The US Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Louisiana has issued a federal court order keeping the Alton Sterling autopsy report sealed, preventing it from being released to the public.
In response to a request from WAFB about the order, the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office said, "We have been issued a second Federal Court Order prohibiting the release of the first court order as well."
The coroner's office reported Sterling, 37, died from multiple gunshot wounds to the back and chest. However, federal authorities will not allow the release of additional information, including the toxicology analysis.
Investigators are still working to piece together what prompted the deadly officer-involved shooting. The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed that Sterling died after being shot during an altercation at the Triple S Food Mart on July 5. The store is located at the corner of Fairfields Avenue and North Foster Drive.
Officials said Officer Blane Salamoni and Officer Howie Lake II responded to the call around 12:30 a.m. They reported an altercation ensued between the officers and Sterling, who was said to be outside the store selling CDs. Abdullah Muflahi owns the store and said he knew Sterling. He also witnessed the shooting and said things quickly got out of control.
Muflahi claims one officer used a stun gun on Sterling and the second officer tackled him to the ground, where Sterling struggled with the officer who had tackled him and was trying to get the officer "off the top of him." According to the store owner, the officers shot Sterling four to six times shortly after he was tackled.
Muflahi said he did not see a gun in Sterling’s hand, but he said he did see officers pull a gun out of Sterling’s pocket after the shooting.
The officers were placed on administrative leave after the shooting, which is standard procedure. East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore confirmed that both officers said they felt their actions were justified just after the shooting.
Officials said both officers had on body cameras, but they fell off during the struggle and do not show the shooting. However, there is footage from the dashboard camera from one of the patrol cars, as well as from at least one store surveillance camera, which is believed to have captured the ordeal.

The officers are being accused of "murder" and "genocide". The BLM hate-filled rhetoric concerning this incident is directly connected to the ambush murders of officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge and beyond. If it was a justified shooting - then the officers involved should be publicly cleared. If they were not - they need to be just as publicly held accountable.

Shocking! Store Owner Hid Video Footage From Police In Alton Sterling Shooting
Posted On : July 8, 2016
http://youtu.be/pdGXhSQvTKc
The shooting of Alton Sterling has drawn criticism for a number of reasons, but there’s one thing some local citizens agree on: the Baton Rouge Police Department can’t be trusted. Shortly after the horrific shooting took place, the seemingly frantic police officers, Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II demanded the owner of the store hand over the surveillance footage.
Although they didn't have a warrant and the store owner, Abdullah Muflahi, denied the request, the footage was still confiscated.
But, what they didn't know was he also filmed the confrontation on his personal cell phone. Since he didn't trust the police department, he decided to share the footage with the public by having his attorney turn it over to WBRZ News. “They [police] were really aggressive with him from the start,” said Muflahi.
Muflahi's attorney, Joel Porter, also hinted about there being more evidence but he explained why he's holding back to evaluate whether or not the police would be honest.
"I want them to be locked into a narrative,” he said. “They thought they could come in and confiscate and control what the narrative was. But now they know there’s other footage out there.”
At this point, the surveillance footage is still being withheld and many citizens are wondering why. Until all evidence is made public and justice is served, the protests will most likely continue.

The store owner doesn't want his business or his home which is only a few yards away, to be Ground Zero of the type of chaos and destruction we have seen in other "BLM protests"
I also question the when and how the business owner chose to film from inside his building

'A delicate line': Baton Rouge police chief thrust into spotlight amid shooting tragedies, scrutiny
BY REBEKAH ALLEN - Aug 6, 2016 - 5:27 pm
When Carl Dabadie Jr. got the call all police chiefs dread, he was deep in the throes of one of the most challenging times for the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old black man was shot and killed by a white police officer on July 5, triggering demonstrations in this city and across the nation. Journalists from around the world and protesters from across the country descended on Baton Rouge, thrusting Dabadie and his officers into the global spotlight.
Both the shooting and the subsequent response to protests were captured on video, widely shared on social media and dissected by the public, who compared the sleepy capital city with the likes of Ferguson or Baltimore — cities that have become synonymous with unrest and distrust of law enforcement.
Dabadie's officers worked 16-hour days. Morale was at an all time low.
And then, the phone rang.
It was just before 9 a.m. on July 17, and Dabadie was at home.
"Two officers down, maybe three. With two more injured. And it was possibly still active," he recalled about the conversation with his deputy chief. "I had this sinking, heart wrenching feeling that it was really bad."
Six law enforcement officers were shot. Three died, including two from Dabadie's department and a sheriff's deputy, while another deputy is still fighting for his life at the hospital. Dabadie actually had himself trained one of the police officers, Cpl. Montrell Jackson, in the academy a decade ago.
"From the protests to having to bury two officers, I don't know that it gets any worse than that," he said in an interview. "Sometimes I think this is a big nightmare that I'm going to wake up from and that it's all going to be OK."
'Never had any doubt'
Dabadie, who grew up in Baker the son of a Baton Rouge police officer, spent a lifetime influenced by the law enforcement community. He knew early on that he would go on to follow in his father's footsteps.
"I admired him growing up for all that he did," Dabadie said of his father. "I never had any doubt this is what I wanted to do."
Laurie Drummond, a former police officer in the 1980s, described the elder Dabadie as a "larger than life personality" who was widely respected and admired by the department's rank and file.
In 1984, when Dabadie was in his first year of college at Arkansas State, his father was killed in a motorcycle wreck while on duty. His father, a lieutenant and commander of the traffic division who had spent 27 years with the police department, suffered fatal head wounds when a produce truck ran a stop sign and struck him while he was on a routine patrol.
After his father died, Dabadie left school to return home to be with his mother, joining the academy in 1986. He rose through the ranks starting in uniform patrol and then spent years riding motorcycles in the traffic division, like his father. Dabadie also did about five years in SWAT, before finding his calling as an academy instructor. In 2005, he became the police academy director, where he got to know just about every new cadet who joined the department.
"I had a bond with pretty much everyone here," he said.
Teaching cadets the foundation of becoming a successful officer was among the highlights of his career, he said. It was his first taste of leadership and it gave him a sense of investment in the future of officers around him.
"I enjoy the molding of trainees and watching them progress through the academy," he said. "There's a level of accomplishment to have taken someone who had no idea what police work was all about to now graduating through the academy and then you're putting them on the street as an officer."
Dabadie, who also served as chief of staff, first applied for chief of police in 2011, during a long, public search and interview process. That process yielded the selection of former Police Chief Dewayne White, a BRPD outsider who came from Louisiana State Police.
White's chaotic and rebellious term as chief was a complete contrast to Dabadie, his successor.
White was outspoken, anti-union, and would openly take positions on issues that were at odds with East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Kip Holden, who appointed him. He talked frankly about what he saw as the lack of trust between the black community and the police.
Within less than two years, it was clear the chief had fallen out of favor with the Mayor-President's Office. White was fired after a protracted saga with Holden that played out publicly for months, with vicious character attacks lobbed on both sides.
With White out the door, the city conducted a search for a new chief. Dabadie was selected as interim chief, and in Aug. 2013, he accepted the official title with little fanfare.
Dabadie was seen as the popular, union-backed, internal candidate who could bring together the troops who were divided over White's firing.
"Officers like to see someone who has done what they do be their leader," said Chris Stewart, the long-time police union president who only recently stepped down. "He's well trained, intelligent and has an understanding of law enforcement."
Until this summer, Dabadie has been considered an uncontroversial police chief. Along with union support, he has had the backing of the East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council. Prominent local black activists have applauded his attempts to improve race relations.
But unlike his predecessor, Dabadie eschews the lime light and steers clear of controversy. When taking public positions on issues that affect his department, he's rarely out of step with the mayor.
He said his strengths as a chief are overseeing the necessary police work and leading by example. But he admits that he derives little joy from the politics of his job and being the public face of his department.
"I never had aspirations of being chief. I like being here and getting the work done," he said. "But I'm not a politician whatsoever. I think everyone has seen that in the last few years. I don't like that part of the job, even though it is part of the job. But with Mayor Holden, he handles a lot of the political side of it so I don't have to."
This resistance to being a public figure could be seen throughout the many news conferences and the media blitz associated with the recent shootings. Dabadie has taken a back seat to Louisiana State Police Col. Mike Edmondson, despite his department being at the center of both tragedies.
BRPD under scrutiny
It's difficult to avoid the glare of the spotlight when the world is watching. And Dabadie has struggled with the accompanying scrutiny.
The two officers involved in the shooting of Sterling are being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice. The officers have not publicly commented on the incident, but a BRPD search warrant report said that Sterling tried to reach for a gun in his pocket before one officer fired.
Asked if he thought they'd be cleared of wrongdoing, Dabadie said he had "no idea" and couldn't really comment on their actions.
What he truly takes umbrage with is the criticism of how local law enforcement handled the protesters in the aftermath of the shooting.
Initial protests after Sterling was killed were in front of the Triple S Food Mart on North Foster Drive — the site of the shooting. There wasn't much visible police presence when protesters stayed at that location. After a few days, though, the demonstrations moved to Airline Highway, near police headquarters, with some protesters saying they wanted to take their message more directly to law enforcement.
But by that time, five officers in Dallas were fatally gunned down during a peaceful protest partially in response to the Sterling shooting, putting law enforcement nationwide on edge.
It all culminated in a tense weekend when about 180 people were arrested for obstructing roadways. Officers showed up in riot gear, carrying long guns, driving armored vehicles and wearing gas masks. Videos circulated on social media of the officers' response, such as one incident at a protest in Beauregard Town when they swarmed upon a woman's private property to apprehend protesters running away.
The criticism has been as crushing as it is unfair, Dabadie said.

08-07-2016, 05:00 PM
After the shootings of his own officers, Dabadie grew more vocal about his anger with the recent media coverage of protests. He used public appearances to both praise the bravery of the fallen officers and defend the police response to protests.
"We've been questioned for the (past couple) weeks about our militarized tactics and our militarized law enforcement," Dabadie said at a joint press conference following the officer shooting. "This is why. Because we are up against a force that is not playing by the rules."
At the burial of Officer Matthew Gerald, the first of three funerals to be held, Dabadie again took aim at the coverage.
"You know, the media has blasted us for what we do, basically portraying law enforcement as these bunch of bullies who go around and beat people up," he said at the funeral, in an emotional statement that was not part of his pre-written remarks. "Well, I want you to look around in here, and you look at the bullies. We're not bullies. We're protecting our communities. And they throw us under the bus for it, and it's wrong."
Dawn Collins, an East Baton Rouge Parish School Board member, blasted Dabadie's comments, particularly the ones he made at the initial press conference, as an unfair attempt to link local protesters with the man who killed the officers. Gavin Long, a military veteran from Missouri, specifically targeted law enforcement officers, authorities said.
"The only thing that connecting the shooting of those officers to protests does is heighten the frustration of community members. To turn around and try to tie that to peaceful protesters is egregious," said Collins, who has also been critical of the "militarized equipment" used in the protest response.
Dabadie has said he didn't blame protesters for the shooting of the officers and described Long as an outsider who traveled to Louisiana in light of the recent media attention about Sterling's death.
Dabadie said, as chief, he feels a sense of duty to defend his officers.
"I want to take care of them and make sure they're in good spirits," he said. "Because I need them to work, and this community needs them to work."
Dabadie said while he wouldn't say their response at protests was perfect, he stands behind it and would replicate it in the event that protests ramp back up. He contends the response didn't become militarized until protesters were either violent or after hours of refusing to obey the law by protesting in streets.
And he stuck to his critique of the media.
"I'm not going to say we didn't make missteps, but I don't think we were treated fairly," he said. "I don't think the whole picture was shown. Only pieces and parts were shown to make us look bad, and unfortunately anytime you make an arrest it's ugly, and anytime we use force it's ugly. But unfortunately somebody has to do it."
Dabadie said between the fallout of the shootings, the investigations and the organization of the funeral services, he hasn't had time to yet to process what's happened. He hasn't fully felt the weight of grief that he knows is inevitable, he said.
It's unclear what role Dabadie, or the outgoing Holden administration, will play in the larger debate that has continued in recent weeks about whether larger changes are needed in BRPD policies and practices. Community leaders, politicians and protesters have all called for different kinds of reform since the Sterling shooting, from changes in how BRPD investigates police use of force to exhortations for a greater emphasis on community policing.
State Rep. Ted James, who has been outspoken in his concern about the Sterling shooting and attended several protests, said he has great respect for the chief, but would like to hear some acknowledgement of the need for change.
"No doubt he's supportive of his guys, but I'd love to see him engage in different aspects of this conversation," James said. "I know he's trying to walk a delicate line and not say statements adverse to officers, but we can all say with a level of certainty that we can do better than this."
Moving forward, Dabadie said it's unclear what role the department will play in terms of repairing relationships in Baton Rouge's black community. But he said the responsibility should not fall solely to law enforcement.
"It's not just a law enforcement problem. It's an education problem. It's an economic development problem. It's a mental health problem. It's a health care problem," he said. "There are a lot of facets involved in this, and it's not just the police."
