One word - HOT. Florida only has 2 seasons really - hot and not so hot - except last winter we actually got damn cold.

My mom used to live in Kissimmee FL
Until my aunt died
But remember I went to visit mom and aunt France's
It was January and it was hotter then the devils bathroom
It was odd to me because January its very cold not hot
But I did enjoy the visit and getting sunburn in January LMBO

I can't count the number of times I have gone to the beach or went boating on Christmas day.

Here we have a winter ... about three weeks worth, nonconsecutive days somewhere between late Dec and late Feb. Today was described as a "mild Sept day ... highs in the mid 90's ... humidity 80% "

Oh girl...shut up!!! *LOL* It started getting colder around here, NE PA towards the end of August. It has done nothing but rain, rain & more rain here all of September. I believe we are nearing almost 20" of rain; horrible, horrible flooding. Last night we had torrential rain, probably almost 3" with severe thunderstorms. Couldn't watch TV at all since alot of the lightening strikes sounded like they were landing in the feild behind my house; the lfash of light & instant boom. I had 4 cats laying on top of me under my fuzzy throw.

Hot, hotter we never really have weather changes here. If we do it'll be around late Oct. early November. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather this year. We've been in a drought for the last 9 months w/temps. in the 100"s.

Around here, they always say if you don't like the weather, to stick around, it will change in a couple of days, LOL.
Right now it is nice and enjoyable. Tomrrow it is suppose to get up to 91, but with a north wind from 10-20 mph.
I hope we have some nice enjoyable weather for the fall, that it doesn't just go straight from hot summer, to cold bitter winter.

Started changing a few weeks ago to rainy weather. The leaves are just now starting to change colors.

That's the way I feel about summer. I enjoy one week of vacation each summer and then I am done with it. I come alive when it gets cold. This weekend we are supposed to get our first flurries. I am so excited. I have to be at our local dam/lake Sunday morning at 7:30am for a 5k run. I am really looking forward to being out there, hands cupped around a cup of nice hot coffee, warm clothes and the gorgeous leaves that are really getting pretty.

We don't go south in winter, we head north. I made our reservations today for our new year's eve trip. We're going to Ontario. Did I mention I'm excited?

It has not stopped raining here. If this was snow instead of rain we would have had 160" of snow...in 1 month's time. There are so many flooded out homes & roads that were washed away here it is unreal. The really worrying part is there isn't going to be enough time before it gets cold around here for all of the water to be absorbed before the ground freezes. If we get any major snowstorms here this winter we will have major flooding here come Spring.
