The math question is to verify that our not a bot.
It works the same way as "capcha"

"what's an our not a bot?" being serious here...and why do i have to print blurred words from capcha? i don't
get it...and yes i was hit upside the head with a baseball bat! lmbo! i don't really remember it tho was only 13
at that time.

Not a silly question at all. What "bot" means is that they are trying to verify that you are one actual person & not a robot filling out massive amounts of forms. Captiva is another way to make sure 1 person = 1 form.
