ok. i need to find the absolute cheapest place to buy a laptop and a tower for my desk top.. my desktop is fried... and... the new director for the part time is taking over the lap top. so i need both...

HELP PLEASE????

In Indianapolis, the cheapest place (shockingly) is Fry's.
With hhgregg coming in second.

Best Buy and WalMart can not even compete with the prices, or the selection.

office depot or staples usually have good deals..you can get a good basic laptop for $299 when on sale..

Yep... Fry's is the best... do they have them in Oklahoma? Well, if you're willing to drive, there is one in Plano (just north of Dallas)... but watch their sales, come close to holidays, the sales are always better.

A friend of mine just got a brand new laptop at the pawn shop for $250. And it was a very good one too.

I would check pawn shops for sure.

Unless you are capable of fixing it yourself should something happen then I'd be extremely careful buying a laptop from a pawn shop... I doubt very seriously they are going to offer you an extended warranty, and will probably be as is... I'm not saying don't do it, just understand that it could cost you more in repairs than you pay for it... there are no guarantees at a pawn shop.

ok thanks ya'll.. nope no fry's around, and if i'm gonna drive several hrs, might as well just put that into the price and have something shipped to me... got my desktop working today... but still gotta find me a laptop

Yeah, you might be able to find a refurbished laptop at a local computer shop.

I went to a few pawn shops today and they were all sold out because of everyone getting their taxes back.
