I have three story problems in algebra that I can't seem to get, been pulling my hair out lol. Can anyone help me????? Please and Thank-you! I just need help with writing the equation, if I get it to that I can solve.
1. The cheap car company charges $30 per day, plus .25 per mile to rent a car, while easy car rental charges $45 per day, plus .10 per mile. If you only need the car for one day, how many miles would you have to drive for the cost to be the same?
2. Brenda wants to hire a kawn service to mow her yard for the summer. G and B lawn service charges $440 plus $40 for each cutting in excess of 10. How many cuttings can Brenda get for $1000?
3. Each of the two larger angles of a parallelogram measures 30 degrees more than the each of the two smaller angles. Find the measures of the four angles.
OK got 1 and 3 still needing 2. I know the answer is 24 cutting, but I need how to write the equation.
